I had a very good experience today at MJ Brown. First off, there is a significant sale going on — the owner is clearing inventory to bring in fresh items (although the current inventory is very chic), and sales are my friend. Second, Martha was working today and her customer service is amazing! She is professional, courteous, friendly, and knows what to bring you to try on. She explained clearly the sale sections of the store, and knew where requested items were located. She also told me the history of the store, about the family who has passed it down from mother to son. Martha made my shopping experience personal and enjoyable. Third, their inventory is young and fun and chic — clothing, jewelery, accessories, bathing suits (I took home two skirts, a dress, a belt, a scarf, two pairs of earrings, and a bikini.) Finally, the interior of the store is bright, welcoming, and well laid out — it is charming and airy and colorful. I will be back.

I visit Coronado every few years and I love shopping at all of the stores on the island. I usually do more window-shopping than actually spending. A lot of the items on the island are for tourists and I would not do my normal clothes shopping there. This visit was very different. I was SO impressed with Mj Browns. The merchandise was fantastic! I fell in love with almost every item in the store. Everything from purses, to dresses, jeans, tops. I loved it all! I ended up having to pack another suitcase because I bought so much there. The fashion is very unique and fashion forward, not to mention flattering for all sizes. I look forward to shopping there the next time I visit. I would recommend this store to any woman looking for fun, comfortable, good quality clothing that isn’t found at just any department store. If you haven’t been to this store recently I would go check it out… it is dramatically different! Love love love it!

MJ Brown has been open forever, but I don’t know how, apart from the tourists that just buy, buy, buy.
I have seen clothes from Forever 21 on these racks marked up ridiculously. What the hell?
Don’t waste your money here just because it’s on the island!

its a small, cute store with original stuff. the zippers on all the dresses are crap but they give you a discount for it to fix it yourself. i bought a dress and a top for a pretty good price. the salesgirl was really nice and helpful, too. she suggested some things that i never would have picked up.
