Herky’s Locker Room

For the extreme Iowa Hawkeyes fan or a novice like me, this place runs the gambit. Located along the «Coralville Strip», this store has everything from apparel to gifty items. This place was recommended by BIL so we drove over there to include it in my whirlwind tour of the Iowa City metro area. Walking in I was splashed with a majority of black and yellow (team’s colors) but sadly the store was not bustling probably due to the recent football upset.
I knew that I wanted at least a hoodie or zip-​up while the BIL wanted to get something for their littlest fan, my DN. We first walked over to the toddler section which offered up some of the cutest things like track suits, cheerleeder outfits, sweaters, pants, etc. Between BIL and I we were torn between a pink and white outfit and a track suit in the team’s colors. He went for the track suit and I agreed because it was so perfect for the DN!
We then headed over to the Men’s section and there was a plethora of gear! Hoodies, zip-​ups, sweaters, track pants, etc. I was shown a few of the hoodies and was a bit disappointed they didn’t have enough zip-​ups but I ended up settling for an awesome hoodie with IOWA on the chest, HAWKEYES fashionably on the hood near the neck and a front warmer pocket in the team’s colors of course.
Headed to the register and was enticed by a cool Tervis tumbler with the logo between the insulated layer, I grabbed it. After everything was said and done the price was ok but it was well worth it to be able to support my newly adopted team.
PS — Herky The Hawk is their mascot hence the name of this awesome establishment.
