I’m going to start by saying why I had to take one star off… They do not have the Lobster Mac N Cheese anymore! :( I’ve had this place bookmarked for months, and when finally got the chance to go, I wasn’t even going to look at the menu, I knew I was going to order that but now it’s not available. Yes, I know, in part my fault for waiting this long to go but still, I wanted it! Ok, now that I got that off my chest… if it wasn’t for that, this would be a definite 5 stars restaurant. We had a 7:15pm reservation on a Friday. Arrived around 6:30pm. Since restaurant is a bit small and busy, we needed to wait until our table was available. No problem, we sat at the bar. John(I think that’s his name but I call him 10⁄10 — we share the same birthday) was really friendly and quick to offer us menus and drinks. 2 of us started with their Sangria, which is one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Our other friend ordered a Diora wine. We tried it and even though we loved the sangria, decided we would get a bottle of this when seated. 10⁄10 was constantly looking around the bar, making sure everyone there had everything we needed. He made conversation with everyone, refilled wine and water glasses, offered more drinks when he saw empty glasses, and served food to those eating at the bar. 7:15pm our table was ready so we closed out with him and were seated. Can’t remember the name of our server but he was equally friendly and welcoming. He made some really good recommendations and in no time we had that bottle of wine at our table. Since we had all been dying to try this place, we decided to order«family style». We started with the mussels — always a favorite of mine. Also had the Chimoin Wing Lollipops(server’s recommendation). This is breaded shrimp and chicken in one, with pickled sweet potato(I think that’s what it was) and it was delicious! Still don’t know how they stuffed the shrimp in that little chicken but we all decided to not even get that image in our head and enjoy the dish. The Chicken and Waffles were excellent and good portion to share. The Short Ribs — our server said this is a favorite among regulars and it was our favorite too. Amazing flavor, tender, perfectly cooked, definitely a must have here. The Mexican Corn Salad is very refreshing and the sweetness of the corn is excellent to balance the breaded jalapeños on top. Chips with Bacon Onion Dip — to me this tasted a bit like jar onion dip but with a bit more flavor. Not exactly my favorite thing of the night. As if we hadn’t had enough, we could not leave without dessert(we shared this too). We ordered the Key lime crème brûlée — perfect sugar top, that you can’t wait to crack open and dig in. Very good and light. With dessert we also had an espresso. This was so good, none of us needed sugar in it. My friends and I had an excellent, fun and delicious night. We are definitely coming back!

The Cook and the Cork is absolutely fantastic. Small plates from chives to street corn salad are amazing and the short rib and spare ribs are outstanding. Go with friends and share

This restaurant is definitely not one you want to go with your family, kids included. They are not kid friendly. I’ve been to many restaurants in the area and never received the customer service I received at this one. First of all, your response clearly shows that you are not a family friendly restaurant, second my baby(1 years old) did not violently spill her drink she stumble by accident as she is one years old and very innocent, then I picked up the spilled water as your waitress only handed me the paper towels, third the restaurant itself is super loud with loud music and several comments below mentioning this, so my children listening to their iPhone can not compare or over power your speaker system, impossible. But thank you for this response and now showing other people your true character.

I actually visited your restaurant and I was thinking about the possibility of taking all four of my grand daughters with their respective parents. However stumbling upon this response, while checking your reviews, to one of your customers(Michelle F.) I can’t find myself visiting a place that actually can criticize the actions of a baby. In addition, to you including in your response the word it when speaking of a baby. This clearly shows how prejudice the ownership and the establishment is in regards to families with young children. I will personally never step foot in this restaurant again. Thanks!

Very pleasant dining experience. I went with my friend for drinks and appetizers. Our waitress was very nice and answered all our questions. The atmosphere was enjoyable and comfortable. The menu is a tad exotic. I had pierogies and my friend had the eggs. Everything was delicious. The place is a little pricey but i do think you get what you pay for, that is attention to the food and details. Definitely try it instead going again to carrabas or another chain restaurant in the area.

Found this place on Unilocal and I’m so glad I went here. In south Florida it’s difficult to find a place to dine where the menu is unique & at the same time packed with flavor. It’s a cozy spot with a NYC feel to it– solid selection for wine & beer — staff was great & friendly too. Started with chicken & waffles & pierogi — both were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Shared the pappardelle Bolognese & the beet & goat cheese salad — both were absolutely delicious. Overall great experience — would absolutely recommend & make sure to make a reservation as the place gets packed.

Gotta go all in on this place. Friday night dinner for 6. To start with they called Thursday to confirm our Friday night reservation, a nice touch, and something that haven’t had happen in a while. 3 of us walked in, and we were immediately greeted and then seated(didn’t have to wait for the others), the stragglers decided to show up a few minutes later. We were immediately presented with bottles of water and menu recommendations galore. We started with a few orders of homemade potato chips, which was served with a side of delightful bacon onion dip, thumbs up! The table ordered an absolute variety of surf and turf, Feta & Herb Crusted Grilled Breast of Chicken, Seared Salmon with Shrimp & Mussels, Cured & Smoked Pork Chop, Duck Empanadas and Chinese BBQ Beef Char Su… all of which were top-notch. I went with the Chinese BBQ, so tender that I didn’t need a knife and there was none left to take home. As if dinner wasn’t enough for this group, they claimed that they needed desert. Wild Berry Cobbler Toasted Oak, Key Lime Brulee with a Graham Cracker Crust and a few orders of Cinnamon Bun Bread Pudding suddenly filled the table, again none of it was left over to take home.
Service was impeccable, going as far as to move a table over to give us a bit more room. As you read the reviews, it is a bit tight, but it does create a more intimate experience. I’ll be back, just not covering the tap for 6 food deprived non-vegans.

Great atmosphere! Excellent wine selection and AMAZING food! We had the foie gras to start then I had the daily special(blue crab stuffed snapper with saffron rice and zucchini) my friend had the bolognese. Both entrees were awesome! We wanted dessert but were too full so we plan to go back and eat dessert first next time :)

With the mixed reviews I saw, I was a little trepidatious about trying this restaurant but had to see for myself. I suggest you do the same and judge for yourself. However, as a devout foodie here´s what I thought. The restaurant itself is not too big and some people might find the tables a little closer together than they’d like, but I thought it made for a friendly atmosphere. We were there on a Saturday around 6:30 and it wasn’t crowded at all though reservations are a must. As it was my birthday, we had a long, leisurely meal and were there for almost 2 hours. If my stomach would have been able to handle it, I’d have stayed longer and tried more dishes. We opted to share a bunch of small plates and started off with the Zucchini Pancakes with Osetra Caviar. Expensive but worth every nibble. We had this with a wonderful glass of Nicholas Feuillatte champagne. Our next two dishes were the night’s special, Pork Belly with Mu Shu Sauce, and the Tempura Shrimp with Sweet Chili Glaze and Honey Wasabi paired with a William Hill Estate Chardonnay. Both dishes were heavenly and went well with the wine. Proceeding this course we elected to have the Fried Chicken & Waffle and the highly touted Spare Ribs with Cucumber Kimchee. The former was fabulous but the ribs were just ok. I’ve had better elsewhere. If you don’t like spicy, beware the kimchee. It has quite a kick to it. This course was paired with a full bottle of a 1970 Vintage Cabernet(I forget which) that was very good. After this, while full, we had to try the Lobster Mac & Cheese that everyone was talking about in other reviews. Oh, my, yum. Of course most of it wound up coming home with me since I couldn’t put one more bite in my mouth. But wait. What about dessert? you ask. Okay, yes, just one more. They had a special of Peanut and Chocolate Mousse Mini Cannolis which, off course, we had with a glass of Madeira. They were delicious, half of which were taken home but the truly magnificent end to the meal was the coffee. It came to the table in a small French Press, dark roasted and smelling like heaven. I could have stayed there for another few hours just drinking that delicious brew. In all, our first visit to this gem of a restaurant will certainly not be our last. Yes, dinner was pricey coming to over $ 350 not including tip, but considering it was my birthday and the fabulous wines we had, worth every last cent and then some. This may not be the place for everyone but for those of you who don’t mind the cost, I say go for it. You won’t be disappointed. P. S. Our waiter, Niko, was outstanding in helping us decide what to eat and what wines to pair and added immensely to the enjoyment of our experience. If you go, ask to sit at his table and tell him the«café table ladies» sent you. Lol

The cuisine is out of this world! I love the small plate service. You order 4 – 5 different ones that speak to you and go for it. Amazing wine selection and I discovered a new favorite IPA. They are always super nice here and the waiters know their stuff.

We made reservations, you really must. The place is small and there were lots of people. Loud tonight but I’m sure it depends on the crowd. Service was very good. Nice wine selection and even though I did not have any the deserts they look great. We had the short rib, corvina special and both were delicious!!! Mac and lobster was just ok not much lobster. We will return. It’s not cheap but it was a very good meal.

New to town and this has major potential to become a frequent favorite. Excellent wine list, fabulous flavored food. and spot on service. Dishes like perogies that are traditionally heavy were done lightly with a depth of flavor. I also like how they are serious about preserving their by the glass items such as port or pricey wines with argon gas cork piercing mechanism. Our waiter Mark was personable, informative and a pleasure throughout the evening without being intrusive on our date night. I will review again after some more visits.

Wow! What a hidden gem right in the middle of Coral Springs. Lying somewhere between fine dining and home-town eatery with good food, wine, and service. The décor and ambience call for being a little more dressy than you might at other places, but it isn’t stuffy. I had a steak that was wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection(rare for me). I can’t wait to get back there to try something else. Enjoy!

This is a fine dining restaurant with recycled Cork– from opened bottles of wine– used as part of its décor. This establishment is only open 4 nights a week is my understanding. Water, I am guessing specially filtered, is constantly flowing and the staff does a great job of delivering in every way. The chef made Butternut Squash soup was very delicious as was the Mahi Mahi(fish) coated in Almond and served with Lime Tartar Sauce. All the food items were served nice and hot. I could barely taste the Lime in my tartar sauce so I would suggest more lime in said sauce and perhaps fresh lime wedges on the particular mahi Small Plate that I ordered. This place is great and the people working the door, floor, and bar do go the extra mile here. Be sure to make a reservation because there was not an empty seat in the House on a recent Saturday night!

We ended up here after getting an early reservation on Open Table– I’m so glad or we never would have found this place! The food is great, with smaller portion sizes but much higher quality and better selections than your go-to chain restaurant. Without drinks, the two of us spent about $ 100 on food to feel full. The ambiance and smallness of the place reminded me of many of my favorite restaurants back in NYC. I would definitely go again, with one reservation: the desserts definitely were not on par with the dinner. They need a good dessert chef ASAP. I would have given the place 4 stars because of that, but I do feel that the service and the quality of our dinner made up for the lackluster apple crumble and rootbeer float we ordered.

This experience exceeded every expectation! I’ve driven past this restaurant for months — I wanted to try it. Last night, we celebrated my husband’s birthday, and it was truly scrumptious. The service was excellent(Thank you Mark). Our favorite dishes included the house made potato chips with onion dip(I could take a bath in that dip), the almond crusted snapper fingers(so fresh!) and the crab and shrimp stuffed Snapper entrée that was to die for! The wine selection was excellent too. This restaurant offers a casual atmosphere with very special food. The chef/owner was on site and a pleasure to meet. There’s every reason to give them 5 stars. I can’t wait to go back soon.

We really hoped this place lived up to the hype, and I have to say it did and did not. What we ate was excellent but for a vegetarian the options were limited. My husband is full veg and I eat chicken. We both ordered the butternut squash soup(originally he ordered the corn chowder but thankfully our waiter double checked and found out it had bacon) which was excellent. Large bowls for a start of a meal so it was a bit much but because it was so good we finished it. Then we ordered the beet salad which was ok, but we wouldn’t order it again. Since there are no vegetarian entrée options we ordered small plates-pumpkin samosas(amazing) and potato pirogies(we were too stuffed to even try) and the veggie side of Brussel sprouts. So even though we didn’t have an entrée, we were too full. Since it was our anniversary dinner we took home the bread pudding which neither of us cared for, so that was a disappointment. Overall I’m sure I will go back but with a check of the menu first to make sure there are enough veg options for a meal.

Best ramp I ever ever had!!! This is again one of those times you need ½ stars. Damn you Unilocal.Easy 4.5 star in my book. Saturday night, 8:30. Sample road, Small ‘house’ on the outside. Inside is an intimate darker ambiance with some funky lights and closely packed tables. Had a very warm feeling to it. Here’s what we had(all of these are small plates we all shared) Ramp on bruchetta: Need i say more? $ 8 for two small pieces. Party of 4 so we each got a ¼. Okkk. Spare Ribs: Fall off the bone, delicious sauce, and oh, what’s that on the bottom of the bowl? Spicy pickles you say? I’m in. Lobster Mac and Cheese: Love the presentation. Comes in a lobster shell. But we all thought this was the low lite… didn’t have a ton of flavor, not sure why it was called Lobster(didn’t see or taste)…truffle oil would help this dish. $ 16. Pass. Chicken and Waffles. We were a party of 4. After the ramp dish i wasn’t messing around… so we ordered two. Sweet J, these were awesome! I would go just for these alone. Came on a white rectangular plate with a tiny squeeze bottle of rancho chile sauce I think. Was sooo dang good. Steamed Mushrooms: Came in parchment paper, steamed in a marsala sauce I believe. Very good. Finally we had the beet and sweet salad. A bunch of some greens with then a cylindrical stack of sweet potato and beets topped with a fried goat cheese ball. The presentation was awesome. Loved it. As far as drinks, they have a nice wine list, and have some good craft beers on tap and in bottle. I had a dofgish head 61IPA with ‘syrah must’. Never had this, and i’m on IPA guy so I tried, and really liked. It’s not exactly inexpensive, but we just ordered small plates and ate slowly and enjoyed this. We left stuffed… kinda tells you something. This place is about great food delivered with awesome presentation,. Hope to go back soon. FYI: it was the only ramp i have ever eaten!
