I’ve waited almost a month to write this review because I want to be objective as possible. I went here for Mother’s Day Brunch. I was worried that I was being unfair because Mother’s Day is the Superbowl of restaurants. But… Mother’s Day is the Superbowl of restaurants. They know this. I know they know this, because they advertised a special buffet brunch. I’m giving River Grass a single star because they struck out. I made a reservation that they couldn’t keep, and gave me the excuse, «It’s Mother’s Day, we’re busy.» I repeatedly asked the to see the manager, who never came. But, the hostess explained why I couldn’t speak with the manager, «Because it’s Mother’s Day, and their busy.» I would have forgiven the bad service if the food was good. It wasn’t. The kitchen couldn’t keep up. The omelet station ran out of eggs. The carving station turning into self service. And all of the food was made before hand and reheated with steam trays making everything in the tray taste the same and keeping all of thee food moist. Not savory delicious moist, swamp moist. I know the excuse, «It’s Mother’s Day.» But if you can’t handle a big day, don’t even try. Because, as a customer, I’m the one who literally pays for their mistakes.

This is a fantastic restaurant with good quality and good prices. The food is exceptionally good, and the service is very attentive. The presentation of which dishes is thoughtful and beautifully done. The chef put a lot efforts to cook and make an art out if it. Highly recommended and will be back again.

The shellfish pan and sea bass are outstanding. There are also burger options if you bring the kids. This is one of the only quiet places to dine in Coral Springs. Nice jazz music was playing. It was about $ 100 for two, with wine, and worth the price. Will definitely be back. The best places to eat in Coral Springs are: River Grass, Sicilian Oven, Chinni’s Burritos and Red Ginger.

This used to be Blue Moon. The quality of food is the same– very good! The prices are better though. Prices dropped, and most dishes offer a half portion or full portion. We had the Sea bass and the snapper and both were very good! Our toddler had chicken fingers with Apples– at special request. It was all well cooked and good quality food. We were surprised that for a Sunday afternoon this place wasn’t much busier. For the same price as Bjs or Big Bear(down the street) I would definitely rather eat here!

Perhaps a bit on the pricey side for a strip mall way west in Coral Springs, but the seafood-centric menu is good. Service was also good, and they make some creative cocktails.

Highlights: mixed grill and that sauce and banana cake dessert. Service was fine. Place was a ghost town on Wednesday evening at 7. Bummer to see the server in jeans in an establishment that wants to be sophisticated. Same as Blue Moon they changed the name, décor and color scheme.

Pretty good food, quality is probably the only thing they got going for them. The split price, split dish menu is pretty cool for those who want smaller portions. Pricing seems a little high for the area we’re in and the food doesn’t justify its price. Nice selection of wine but again their pricing for wine bottles were ridiculously high! It’s Coral Springs shopping plaza not downtown miami or Ft. laud. So I’m not sure why their bottle selection is so high in price. They need to consider lowering those prices by at least 20% and I bet you people would buy more. Service was Ooookaaay… Nice server but not the most experienced. I had my hand on the bottle of wine trying to read the label but he snatched it right out of my hand to open it up and serve us. After he served us our wine we had quarter bottle left so I asked him to just leave the bottle and I’ll pour myself as I need to refill. He either didn’t hear me or totally ignored my request. He kept pouring more into all the cups to finish the bottle. I also asked him what his best seller plate was and he wasn’t able to answer it. His answer was«it depends» so I asked what’s his favorite dish and he couldn’t answer that either. Overall experience for the price was ok. Try it out, you might like it.

Just had the amazing brunch at Rivergrass today. The quality of the food was amazing especially for the price point. Crab cake, mussels, bellinis, eggs Benedict, and seafood gumbo and more! I can’t tell u how much I enjoyed myself. Service was a bit slow but other than that I highly recommend that you run don’t walk there next Sunday

So good! I had the sea bass, hubby had the filet. Both were great! Loved the oysters and shrimp cocktail. They also have a good wine list. We will definitely go back. The waitress was very nice. Thought servers should be dressed better. Ambience was good. Service was good once I got their attention. Not crowded. As people say, a hidden treasure for sure. Almost didn’t write review, wanted to keep it to myself but had too.

Came out of Monkey Joe’s and noticed Blue Moon was now River Grass. We had our 2 sons with us 5 and 15 months, so I was a little hesitant about going. We checked out the menu and decided to check it out. It’s a little more casual than Blue Moon was and slightly cheaper. We ordered Oysters, Shrimp cocktail from the raw bar and followed with mussels and Scallops. The kids shared the fish fingers. Everything was excellent, mussels were the biggest I think I have ever had! Scallops app was incredible, overall great experience. The service was great especially the hostess, she was extremely attentive which we appreciated when the 15 month old threw a wrapper she quickly scooped it and also took and brought back our stroller. Can’t wait to go back and try the entrees.

This is the old Blue Moon in Coral Springs… with a new décor… the place is never crowded which is baffling because the food is excellent… service is very good and location in this plaza seems to be good. Primarily seafood with great sauces and a nicely arranged mixture of side dishes and a great chocolate soufflé which needs to be ordered when making reservations. Prices are up there but well worth the price.

I use to come here when it was Blue Moon, but haven’t been here in over 1 year. I was thrilled to see what a wonderful resturant it is. Food and service were both excellent. We need to support our local, none franchise restaurants. This is what Coral Springs is about. We have been back 3 times in 10 days sine we re-found this GEM.

Terrific ! We weren’t sure what to expect… we had been to Blue Moon many times, the food was always good. I checked the menu online, saw many similar things to what we liked at Blue Moon, so decided to give it a shot, and are so glad we did ! The food was WONDERFUL(and we don’t say that often), the service was super(friendly, helpful, attentive), and the prices were quite reasonable. My husband and I shared an appetizer of Lobster Tail Risotto. It was to die for ! After tasting it, he said he wished he had ordered it as his entrée, he was crazy about it(I don’t see him get worked up about food at restaurants very often). Then the entrees came. I have a small appetite, and had enthusiastically eaten my share of the Risotto, so was sorry I had ordered an entrée. But, when my Macadamia Crusted Chilean Sea Bass came, although I intended to take just a taste and take the rest home, it was GREAT, and to my surprise, I ate it all. My husband had the Grilled Swordfish, and said it was excellent. He also said that next time(and for sure there will be a next time), he might just order the Lobster Tail Risotto as his meal, with a side or two. We will be back for sure !

3.5 stars but giving 4 as it has potential. This is sort of the same restaurant as the Blue Moon but different in some respects. I’ll talk about the best part first… our entrees. We had the Shellfish Pot and Sauted Shrimp Penne Pasta. The Shellfish Pot is the same as was served under the Blue Moon name and was very flavorful. The Pasta dish we never had before but was very good with maybe too much alfredo sauce or not enough pasta but overall it was really good. It had spinach in the dish and that was a good touch. With just these two meals we were both stuffed even though it didnt seem like a lot of food. We each had a drink and tried some of the«bread» which came with two small bits of different flavor butters. The bread was cornbread and a biscuit, neither of which we are fans of. THEYNEEDTOSERVESOMEREALBREAD. The last experience at Blue Moon was some delicious bread so this part was a big let down. Also had a couple drinks with one being a Creamy Dreamy Nutella drink which is kind of like a chocolate martini… didn’t seem to have much alcohol at all in it. No specials offered on a Thursday night… was hoping for the rack of lamb but maybe next time. A little about the place now: If not familiar with the prior Blue Moon, its in the same location in a small strip mall and doesnt really stand out to get your attention. Looks like they redid the décor to be a bit more lightly rustic but same layout as before. The service was kind of off. The wait staff seemed unenthusiastic and the overall vibe of the place felt like it was a restaurant about ready to close instead of having its grand opening as stated on the banner over the entryway. We definitely enjoyed the entrees but think the place needs to kick the overall experience up a couple notches. Oh yeah, had to call four times before someone finally answered…

This place, situated in the former Blue Moon Fish Company, is fresh and inviting entry into the Coral Springs dining scene. The high prices at Blue Moon are replaced with affordable pricing. Service is good, décor is appealing and entertainment first rate. There were 4 of us in our party. We weren’t in any hurry at all and intended to make an evening of it. We waited until we received our cocktail order before deciding on soup appetizers. One had the chicken gumbo, two had the other gumbo and I had the conch chowder. The three reported their soups to be good but I reported to our server, Heather, that I thought the chowder was too thin and lacked good strong taste. Next visit I’ll try it again to see if it’s improved. Then it was on to entrees. I ordered the River Grass burger. While it was cooked to order, it was supposed to come with a fried onion stack and I think there were only a few on it. It also was supposed to have blue cheese crumbles but I didn’t see that many on it, either. Still, it was a well cooked burger. The fries I requested for my side were phenomenal! The other RG burger in our party loved what they god, as did the other two people ordering the Buttermilk Boneless Fried Pork Chops and the 4th entrée. On Thursday evening, they have live entertainment in the bar. The music is exciting and doesn’t at all drown out conversations in the main dining area. Please make this a stop on your regular dining circuit in Coral Springs as it’s well worth the trip.
