Applebee’s

My girlfriend and her son (he’s 4 at the moment) were recently in town from NJ, so we decided to do something simple for dinner after they landed. So Applebees was the spot since it’s not too far from where I live. Taking everything into consideration, I can’t score this location more than three stars. First of all, they have these little tablet computers on every table. You can use them to order food & games. So as you can imagine, this is a 4-​year old’s playground. We had to remove it from the table because it was serving as a major distraction for the little boy. I ordered the steaks, which were peppered unevenly, but still tasty. The waiter was helpful and friendly. My girlfriend’s son wanted macaroni & cheese. It not only came out scorching hot, you can easily tell that it was simply microwaved in the same bowl in which it was served. But really, who serves steaming hot food to a little kid? Really folks? And microwaved, to boot? Not your finest work, Applebees. There is much room for improvement.

This is an average American chain restaurant (think Chili’s or TGIFriday’s). I’m not a fan of these but every once in a while someone I’m with wants to go…
Stopped in the Sunrise location for lunch on a Friday. Upon entering the restaurant, there is a bad smell, but goes away within a matter of minutes. Also it was cold on this particular day. I had to run back out to my car for a sweatshirt.
No wait, and we were seated immediately. Server came a few moments later to take our drink orders. Not sure if it was because it was during lunchtime, but he offered us no drink or food specials.
After reviewing the menu briefly, I decided on the Shrimp Wonton Stir-​Fry. My co-​worker ordered the Fiesta Lime Chicken. It was a proper average wait, approximately 15 minutes. My shrimp was very good. The shrimp had a small hint of spicy kick to it, which was well received, and the wonton topping was a nice add to the meal. The rice and veggies were average. I didn’t try my co-​workers dish but he stated that it was average or just below, and the meal itself used to be a bigger portion.
Overall, I never venture to American chain restaurants and hardly ever recommend someone else to do so either. There’s just too many other great food options out there.

This is why I try to avoid Applebee’s. Me and my boyfriend came to eat some lunch and he ordered his pink and I ordered mine no pink. When the order came his burger was completely well done and mine was bright pink and on top of that wrong fry order. The server was very nice but whoever is in the kitchen should get fired. And I don’t send any food back, we let the server know the issue and the manager gave us 15% which was very nice. But I’ll probably never go back to any other Applebee’s again.

Service is great sometimes and others it is horrible, just like any other Applebee’s.

No more Unlimited Fries with a burger on Burger Night. I was recently informed here that «that ended about 3 months ago.»

My son and I visited here on 2÷9÷16 in the evening, we had a great experience. The food was great, we had the 4-​cheese mac & cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders and black berry iced tea. Amy our waitress was Exceptional and very Attentive. I will always return to this location.

Bad experience… again. Both experiences had one common factor… an arrogant, short, lazy bartender/​waiter. He seemed bothered to wait on us period but then we asked a question and… Oh my! We actually got an eye roll as he quickly turned away before finishing the rude reply. We have always loved Applebees. We just moved to Florida. I guess we’ll have to try another location. I noticed most of the reviews seem to be referring to the same young, rude, male bartender/​waiter.

This is the location I frequent the most. It’s a hit or miss as far as service goes. There are really good and attentive servers, and there are some who make you feel lucky to get a soda refill. On this particular visit, we came for the $ 6.99 burgers we saw advertised last time we were in. We got an OK waitress, she wasn’t on top of things, but she came around once in a while. I got the classic cheese burger with their chips. I really liked it. My burger was cooked just right, but they forgot to add the fixings, which were brought to me separately. Hubby got the breakfast burger with a fried egg on top and hash brown. He loved it. We also got to refill our fries (not that I should have, but I did) Why three stars you ask? The service, it’s just so so, and not all the food has been this good. Overall though, this is a good place for a quick and inexpensive meal.

Walked in at 4:50. Sat at bar. No bartender in sight, noticed 3 other people that were sitting and had not been served yet. Bar was also filthy so I left. One of the 4 employees mingling and chatting by front door opened it for me so at least that part was nice. *Sarcasm*

For a chain food that we know pretty well, it was as we expected, maybe a little better. We are from out of town and needed something familiar and open at that hour. The two-​for-​one drinks were the proper strength, not just mixer, The pasta and steak were prepared perfectly.

Waitress did not welcomed us or said her name, she seemed upset, or happy to be there. Barely looked at us or followed up because our food took 37 minutes to arrived, dinning room was less than 30% full. My sandwich was cold & fries were salty. Fajitas were not bad but had more black pepper than expected. This quick meal took over one hour. Not great service but it’s Applebee’s, so it’s not surprising.

Been to this Applebee’s many times and it actually has changed a little bit. This review is based on my most frequent visit last Sunday.
Came here on a sunday around 1pm with a family of 6. Greeted and seated right away at an awesome booth. Most booths are stuck to a wall on one side but this one was open on both sides which was awesome space. Place fairly clean.
Our waitress was cool. She checked on us at a fair time, remembered our orders and i liked that the manager named Dawn, checked our tables twice and helped in delivering the food.
The food?
Well i personally think Applebee’s have the best spinach artichoke dip but… their portions have definitely shrinked. Our waitress gave us more chips because we were waiting a little bit longer but she didn’t provide more spinach dip. Why??? Regardless, it was still delicious as ever .
Their menu definitely offers a lot more healthy options. I wanted to order pasta carbonara but they dont offer it anymore. Sad day at Applebee’s for me. So i ordered the Shrimp and broccoli cavatappi which was «finished with parmesan cheese blend and fresh lemon».
It looked pretty when i got it. But how does it taste? it was… horrible. I actually thought it was just topped with lemon, not lemon sauce. Lemon was so strong plus there was more broccoli than pasta. I ended up only eating the shrimp. I wish i could’ve ordered the 3 cheese chicken penne instead.
For dessert, we ordered the triple chocolate meltdown a classic we always order, and butter pecan blondie. They never fail. we constantly get it confused with their chocolate meltdown with Chili’s molten chocolate cake.
Overall, it was okay. They had affordable prices like 2 for $ 20 menu, okay service, okay food and a really relaxed vibe. This restaurant met all expectations but nothing really above and beyond. They just hit the mark except for that cavatappi, never again…
Personally, i like chili’s better. But that’s just me.
Anything to take from my review, the spinach artichoke dip, chocolate cake, and blondie.

Great food reasonable prices… there steaks are awsome… I get the two for twenty meal deal… but I upsize my steak… everything I eat there is good. no complaint.

The other night, my boyfriend and I decided to go out to Applebee’s. I had never been to Applebee’s before, so I decided to give it a shot…
Our server, Isabelle, was terrible. She had no personality. I ordered a burger and my boyfriend ordered a steak. Food comes out about 20 minutes later… First thing we noticed was the size of the steak. there was no way that thing weighed as much as it was advertised to weigh. We waited for Isabelle to come check on us so we could ask if it was the correct steak, but she never came until we were done with our meal. My boyfriend ate the steak regardless, but was not filled up by it. My burger wasn’t awful, but I could not find the stomach to eat more than half of it… it had a weird taste to it.
When we stopped eating, Isabelle handed us our check and we saw that she had, in fact, rang in the incorrect steak. But whatever, this one was cheaper anyways and we did not want to spend as much money as we did on a dinner that we left still hungry.
Never going to Applebee’s again. terrible first experience.

Average food. You get what you pay for.

This is my second review on Applebee’s as I’ve been back a few times. Overall this Applebee’s gives you good food at a fair price. The menu has improved quite a bit and there are several very good low cal options in addition to the many, many really good comfort food options. I frequently wish I was not watching my weight when coming here because some of the higher calorie entrees look really good. Unlike my last review I’ve found this location to get quite busy during normal food hours (dinner and lunch) and I found the food and service very consistent with a few small exceptions. The best part about Applebee’s is that they are open late and serve a full menu till 2am on weekends. They also have «half price apps» after 9pm, which makes it a pretty cool place to grab a bite after a night out. Overall I really like this place now and will come back frequently. 4 Stars.

Ate at this Applebee’s while at home for winter break. This Applebee’s, more than others I’ve seen, seems to be trying especially hard to be a sports bar. I noticed a lot more TVs and a more palpable bar atmosphere than the other franchises I’ve been in.
Considering this is a chain, food is standard no matter what location you go to. I had the lunch combo with Chinese chicken salad and a chicken fajita wrap. I really enjoyed the oriental dressing for the Chinese chicken salad, it was creamy without being too thick or heavy and complemented the veggies and sliced almonds nicely. The portion was bigger than I expected, and you can’t beat the price — $ 7.99 is cheaper than some fast food joints nowadays.
Service was so-​so: despite our location right next to the bar and the restaurant not being busy, our sever seemed to forget about us a lot. It was difficult to get anything from water to a take-​out box for our leftovers. Lame.
Since I normally avoid chains like the plague, Applebee’s will never be a favorite of mine, but it works in a pinch!

Good spot to take the grandchildren. The menu is vast and affordable. Applebee’s is becoming one of my favorite chain restaurants, particularly when UR taking out a lot of kids with variable quirky palates. There is something for everyone &the food quality is very acceptable.

I am coming here from years and this place is still as good ad I remember it. I got breakfast at like 1 pm and it was great.
I always get their m special with the corn beef hash. It was very filling. I’d definitely come here when I’m craving American breakfast. Price is good as well.
No complaints. Life is good. Play ball.
