As somebody who is not a fan of going to hair salons and doing the whole hair thing, I gotta say, I love SalonK.
I had the great pleasure and luck of getting an appointment with the glorious Kae herself. She listened, gave advice, and executed. And, she was an absolute pleasure to hang with and chat. I got bangs, and they rock.
The salon itself is lovely. They use all Aveda products, which are excellent. The space is clean and the staff are nice. It’s always great to be around people who love the place where they work. I think it makes the service even better.

I tried this salon for the first time and feel as if Denise gave me the best haircut I have had in a very long time. She was very professional. I also had a pedicure and the young lady who gave it to me did a fabulous job, was bright and fun to talk with, and really «gets» the Aveda concept. This place would get 5 stars however … they forgot the usual hand massage that goes along with the pampering at most Aveda Salons, and although Denise was an exceptional hairdresser, as she was cutting my hair, there were two hairdressers standing nearby gossiping and talking badly about TV personalities. I know this can be a normal part of anyone’s day, yet to achieve the high standards of performance, your behavior around clients should always be professional … in my opinion. I will go back there because I liked Denise and want to see what else she can do to «wow» me with my hair.

I had been going to Kae for almost 2 years and recently her work has not been great. Last fall she a her assistant worked on my hair together– I was worried about the 2 sides coming out differently and expressed my concern. Also Kae was hurting me and I mentioned that several times to little avail. The treatment was also left on twice as long as I have ever had before and I mentioned that too– Kae said not to worry.
My hair came out uneven and looked horrible from the processing after a few days. A few Kae did give several treatments and a cut free of charge, and said the treatment would last 6 weeks to help correct the problems while the hair grew out. Treatment didn’t last 6 days. Kae has blamed my body chemistry and hair. Perhaps so, but the same treatment I had last spring turned out fine.
Fast forward– I needed to leave the area and Kae had promised to give me the hair color formula, which she did. But unfortunately she only gave me the Aveda formula and said there was no way to determine equivalence with other companies’ products. She also said there was nothing to do but wait for my hair to grow out or cut it very short to get rid of the poorly processed areas.
I am now in a major metropolitan area and went to a salon here. First, the stylist was able to do a treatment and recommend products to correct the horror of the damaged hair. She also showed me how to style my hair to make it look good and recommended AGAINST cutting my hair since it would only make things worse. Looking at my skin and grown out hair, she said my hair had been overprocessed and there was nothing wrong with my hair that should have caused the horror– she said the product had been left on too long. and rolled unevenly. (I had told her nothing of my concerns). She then showed me the comparison charts for Aveda color and other companies’ products. My hair is now looking OK.
I really have loved Kae– a good person who is really bright and had always done good work, I also see how wonderful many of the other stylists are. This may be the best in NH — or at least Concord, but be aware that the high price and hype will not necessarily translate to consistently good outcomes.

What an incredible find! I love Aveda products and salons and this salon did not disappoint. I received a great haircut but 5 stars for the hot towel and Aveda ritual during my shampoo! Made my day!!! Thanks Denise!

What a fantastic experience! Alyssa is an incredible colorist and stylist! She and the owner, Kae, took the time to provide an extensive consultation to ensure the results of my stylistic desire for my sadly damaged hair would give me not only the results I desired, but would improve the health of my hair, and they more than delivered! I am far more pleased with the results than I have been at any other salon, including Saks Fifth Avenue in Chevy Chase, MD, where I always had my hair done during my 33 years in DC. They have earned a customer for life! Thanks, Rock Stars!

I’ve been here once so far and I really like this place. It can be very difficult to find a good salon in NH and I was skeptical of Salon K’s «Best Salon in NH rating».
I’m always very anxious about trying out a new hair dresser but I’m glad I did. Denise J. listened to all of my demands and descriptions and I ended up with the best highlights that I’ve had in a long time.
I do think they could change the lighting in there and a few other small things however they certainly are very talented (and nice!) which is what I really care about.
Also, the parking situation is not great so I would probably leave 10 minutes early to find a spot.

I’ve been going to Salon K for the past year and I am never disappointed. Always leave happy Denise is my stylist and I absolutely adore her. She does beautiful work. Everyone here is super friendly. Top notch hair salon!
This is an Aveda salon and I absolutely LOVE their products.

Great experience making my appointment, welcomed with tea, a very professional group. Bailey was great, assed my hair and desired cut prior to my shampoo and cut. Nice cut, overall a wonderful experience as a first timer. I will be back. The web site also very helpful.

Good, except they are always running 15 – 30 minutes late. Don’t show up early!!!

Keith is friendly and professional just like the rest of his staff. He’s attentive and thorough and gives me exactly what I ask for. I’m always happy with the results when I leave.

Visited for the first time last Friday to take advantage of a Groupon or LocoLoco coupon. The deal was 1 hr massage, shellac mani, and hair wash/​style (or cut). No changes allowed, as I wanted a pedi instead of hair, and was willing to pay up charge, but denied.
Anyway…the salon is lovely and all the people I met there were very nice.

The mani was precise, but it’s not lasting as the other shellac manicures I’ve had (actually pushing/​chipping on the ends). I paid and extra $ 10 for french.
The hair wash/​style, well, nothing I’d go back for, but then again, I’d never met the stylist, she had no idea what my hair «does». She was nice, and it was pleasant leaving without the massage wrecked hair.
If you’re looking for a high-​end in Concord, you’ve found it. This one is an Aveda salon.
