I got the four taco deal for like $ 6. I’m pretty new to the area so I’m not sure about how these compare elsewhere but they were pretty good. Also no line or wait during lunch which was good for me.

I come here only for their chicken taquitos with their bomb red sauce. My bf loves their carne asada burger, but the meat is never hot just a little warm. Sucks they only take cash tho.

Decent sized tacos with good flavor. I only tried the asada but it was probably one of the best asada tacos I’ve ever had.

After devouring their carne asada and chicken tacos I was compelled to write this review. We come here often and love the fact they are open late. The surrounding neighborhood and questionable people around are definitely an eye soar, but if you can get past that grab your food and go you will be ok. They have an outside eating area, not the cleanest but if you got to eat right away go for it. We have only tried the tacos, rice, and fries all very good. The asada and chicken nice and tender cut up small the way I like it. When I went to pick up our order I was eyeballing a couple dishes that looked very good I will be trying next time, the chorizo and the sopes, can’t wait. They take orders quick, very efficient, and customer service is always friendly. Hasta mañana para mas comida.

I receive very bad service from Gina who stated that she was in charge. I made two orders and aaked if I could have a bag for each order she stated that I would have to pay for a bag for any other order. I then ask for a plate as I often do when I purchase food. She then stated that I would have to pay for plate 25. I recommend that no one goes to el unico and have to be treat so rude as I was treated. SMH

I love coming here for the tortas and mexican burger. The reason i gave 4 stars and not all 5 is the lady that takes the order with the glasses. OMG! She always screws my order up, can NEVER her what im saying(even if im screaming my lungs out) her voice is semi-annoying and has the worst attitude. The red salsa is super good. Horchata isn’t as good as it was before. It tastes now like milk is lechera.

Decent asada burrito. Staff could be a little more friendly according to me and two of my coworkers. It was walking distance of out job site. I wouldn’t go here again.

I came here because Las Tres Salsas ran out of tacos & closed down at 6pm. Really enjoyed the lengua tacos here. The adobada tasted sweet like BBQ pork. I’ve never had it that way, but it was actually really good. The asada was okay — if anything I felt it was a bit dry. I wanted to give 3.5 stars because it wasn’t spectacular — the taste is just like every other taco joint. Personally, I felt that the tortillas were cooked perfectly and complimented the meat. They were just a tad bit toasted which gave it a nice soft crunch texture. Not too greasy.

I come here with my boyfriend for the horchata and nacho fries. The horchata is good and cheap. I wouldn’t recommend the Mexican burger, it is pretty much a torta but with burger buns. I do enjoy their carne asada burritos too. They have their own private parking and there are always a lot of space available. Their prices ranges from 3 – 7 I believe.

This is part of a chain of Mexican restaurants. The original is also in Compton, on Atlantic Blvd. From a humble beginning(taco trucks) to over 10 brick and mortar stores. They know what customers are looking for, good food at a reasonable price. I chose to come to this one even though the original store is closer because they have a big parking lot. I’m currently driving a big pickup(company vehicle) and compared to my small two seater, drives like a big boat. I need all the room I can get to park this baby and this place has all the space I need compared to the original location lol. Customer service is okay. They have bilingual employees at the register and that helps a lot. Now, getting your food is another thing. lol. The first time I came, after I placed my order and paid. I was waiting for my number to be called and an old lady started shouting in Spanish on the PA system. She must have been saying my number in Spanish, but I could barely understand what she was saying. Even though I know my numbers in Spanish. lol She was yelling at me when I got to the window lol, Sorry grandma lol The place is a small shack with a covered patio attached to it. It has plenty of tables and chairs that are clean, yes! Here’s the Rundown: I got the #1 — 4 Tacos w/a medium drink for $ 5. It’s a good deal for lunch. For my tacos, I ordered one each of Buche, Lengua, Al Pastor & Asada. All the meats were very good. The buche was a little bit tougher than I’ve had before at other taco places, but was still good. My favorite of the bunch was the Lengua(Tongue for us gringos) It was very tender and flavorful Yum. Al Pastor was spicy but not too spicy and had great pork-a-licious flavor. The asada held it’s own. The order came with some pickled radish and lime. For my drink I got a Horchata. Not too sweet and not too cinnamon(y), just the way I like it. On my first visit(which was on my non meat eating month, January), I got a Chile Reyeno con Queso plate, it was good. The big chunk of cheese was really good. The sauce it came with was delicious. The order came with rice, beans & corn tortilla, I would say they all tasted average, nothing special about them, but they do fill you up. The salsa they give you is very good. Mild in heat but very tasty. Okay, this is not the Ritz, so don’t expect the world from these folks. The food though is good and very reasonable. They offer a wide variety of Mexican dishes and all the food I’ve had so far had been very tasty. For some cheap and good eats, this might be your spot! I’ll definitely be back.

Disappointed wanted nachos whyy. What is this looks like a salad on top of tortilla chips with some guacamole. What happened to the cheesy goodness I was expecting. $ 7.35 later still having nacho craving. So needless to say still searching. And they have no pico de gallo

Went here late Saturday night with my boyfriend. I ordered 2 tacos de pastor 1 of asada and a small order of beans. I really wanted to order a quesadilla but i have big issue with getting hidden meat. my asada taco had allot of fatty meat. I had to remove about half the meat in the asada taco before i could eat it. The pastor tacos I just had to take couple of pieces of fat from each. the asada was okay, the pastor was pretty good but i have had better. all in all it was okay, the only reason i came here is because it was like 2am and they have a drive thru. Horchata was not good at all. green sales was good beans were good i likely wont be back

Especial #1(4 tacos & a drink $ 5). That’s my order every single time I roll up in this joint. Sure they have plenty of other items on their menu, but I come here to momentarily pacify my insatiable taco addiction. The only thing that changes in my order is the kind of meat in the tacos. Tacos El Unico grills up all kinds of tasty carnes to fill a tortilla with. Asada, buche, cabeza, lengua, carnitas, birria, pollo, and pastor are all on the menu. The pastor is slammin’ and is usually what I get. To really give it a kick I ask them for their habanero salsa to top those bad boys off with. That stuff is no joke! The jamaica is off the chain and is the perfect thing to wash it all down with. I wish they sold it by the gallon!

We stopped by this taco stand after cruising around Compton. I liked the look of this place, which requires ordering at the window and grabbing a seat in a patio like area. A trio of tacos, fish, chicken and birria(goat meat) were in order. The chicken taco was good with tender chunks of meat, and the fish taco was tasty with nice crispy fried fish. It was the birria taco which won me over with delicious, flavorful goat meat. If I lived here, I’d be a regular. 4 stars of tasty goodness!
