Let me start by saying overall the place is clean and nice inside(but maybe too clean, more on that below), employees were nice and friendly so no complaints there. I came here for lunch takeout and ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of chips and queso. The ‘dilla and queso were alright, but something just tasted off with the salsas… not sure if it’s just me, but the salsa’s left a bad chemical after-taste in my mouth, like soap or detergent. Possibly they don’t rinse their salsa bins out thoroughly enough, I don’t know. Only going off my gut, whatever it was, tasted off. Even smelled a bit like soap, lol. Could be an off day… who knows. Waiting to see if I burp any bubbles… Thanks.

Staff is super friendly, all their food is extremely fresh. The protein is definitely over seasoned, someone’s too salty. I ordered a ancho lime blow, comes with chicken, cilantro lime rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, and fresh squeezed lime… Absolutely delicious! You can also make it into a burrito. Chips are always complimentary, and they have he soda machine that have over 100 different flavor a, pretty cool!

Love the people in here. They are quick, polite, friendly and usually know what Im going to order when they see me come in. They also give decent portions of food. Ive been to other locations where they really skimp on the portions, especially the meat. I rarely eat in here but there is ample seating and usually very clean. It has one of those soda machines with like 100 different flavors. Its in a convenient location but in a high traffic parking lot.

Clean. But food is flavorless. Wish they would add a little more seasoning to the meat they serve.

Food is not bad, a little better than Taco Bell which is not bad either. 3 stars for the food. What makes Moe’s worth the trip are the salsas. They’re really pretty darn good. So 4 stars overall

My family of 4 loves to eat at Moe’s. This restaurant has fast service, the servers are friendly and helpful and the area to eat is usually clean and stocked with whatever supplies are needed. The food is always fresh and plentiful. I always leave here feeling satisfied.

Queso and the salsa bar are what makes Moes awesome IMO. I love it! I also enjoy the fresh jalepenos and cilantro. I always order a bowl and I’m always very happy with my meal. The soda machine is fun and has a lot of choices.

The only reason Moe’s is getting one star from me is because their queso is absolutely amazing. I am not a fan of Moe’s food at all, otherwise. This place can’t hold a candle to Chipotle.

Moe’s is the only place to go for the best Mexican food around! From the warm, gooey queso to the yummy salsa choices, the food was delicious and each meal comes with free chips and self serve salsa! The resteraunt has fun music and is very family friendly. You order your food, as it is passed from worker to worker. There is so many toppings to choose from. There is meat, cheese, lettuce, beans, and so much more! I would definitely recommend bringing the whole family to enjoy a meal at Moe’s.

Went there for the first time with my husband and 3 yr old. the place was packed. So we got on the long line and wanted to see what all the hype was about. I have to say it was worth it. The workers are fast and the food tasted anything but. It was fresh and satisfying. I ordered the salad bowl with chicken n all the toppings were great. My son had the kids chicken burrito and it was packed with chicken. nice to see they don’t skimp on the kiddy meals! It was clean. fast and the manager I’m assuming walked around and checked every table to see how everybody was. never seen that in a «fast food place». I would definitely go back.

Tried it for the first time on Free Queso Day. Gotta say, they are good at marketing, so thumbs up with that to keep the customers coming back and feeling like they got a good deal. To be honest, it’s not as good as Mexican Grill 2000 in Medford, or even the Green Cactus Café chain, but it’s still a good value for the money you will spend. If you are super-starving, get the«Homewrecker» burrito made to your liking. The salsas that they offer at the salsa bar are decent, and the Queso(seems like Jalapeño Jack Cheese melted down) is more than acceptable. Overall, worth checking out with a friend or two, especially if you are starving and broke.

Stopped in this afternoon to check this place out. It’s been here for a little while, and always wanted to try it It was lunch time, but the place was not real busy. So I had time to check out the menu. I decided on the Chicken Club Quesadilla. I went up to the counter and the guy made some noises that sounded like«what can i get you buddy». I couldn’t be sure, so i assumed that’s what he said and told him what I wanted. Going down the line, more strange noises from the next guy, since he was in front of the ingredients part of the station i guessed he was asking what i wanted on it. It was kinda humorous, i guess these«ghost moaning» sounds they were making were codes they used to talk to each other. Finally at the end, the one guy who spoke clearly…“are you staying or going”. He kinda ruined it. lol Good quesadilla tasted good, they threw in a handful of nachos and you helped yourself to a selection of different sauces. The place was very clean and a lot of tables an booths to handle the lunch crowd during my visit. The prices are kinda high, the quesadillai ordered and w small drink, came out to $ 10 and change. The quesadilla was big, but still…$ 10 is a lot of money to spend for lunch.

Isn’t Mexican food supposed to be well seasoned & flavorful? We visited Moe’s 8−10−12 for the first time. As soon as we opened the door we immediately noticed that the garbage can was over flowing with garbage – not a good sign. The menu was basic Mexican fast food but with stupid names. For example, the fajita I ordered was called a «fat sam» and my boyfriends quesadilla was called a «john coctostan.» Why? Maybe they figured giving their food«fun» names would prevent the diner from noticing how unappetizing it really is? The chicken in the fajita(fat Sam) was dry and flavorless. It definitely did not taste or look grilled. It seemed more like chopped up unseasoned, processed, chicken nuggets. Luckily, the sour cream and pico de gallo did a good job of adding flavor. It wasn’t terrible but it just wasn’t good. My boyfriends steak quesadilla(John coctostan) was better than my food but he had to add plenty of sauces to make it flavorful. He added guacamole to his meal and unfortunately he got the last few spoonfuls the kid behind the counter was able to(literally) scrape from the bottom of the container. Not surprisingly it tasted stale. I understand this is fast food so it’s not as if I was expecting a 5 star dining experience. I did, however, expect something along the lines of the quality of Chipotle and Moe’s doesn’t even come close.

Moe’s is great! Fresh ingredients come together as you like it. Made to order, and delicious. As a franchise, they’re all pretty much the same.

This Moe’s is very, very, CLEAN. During my visit, I think I watched the manager wipe down the entire cooking area three times. It certainly is a spotless restaurant. But what about the food? Well, I had been a pretty regular customer of Moe’s in Glen Cove several years ago, but this was back when I only had 3 choices of this style of Mexican food: either Q-Doba in Hicksville(now closed), Salsa Salsa in Port Jeff, and Moe’s Glen Cove(I know they are all over the place, but most of the time I was picking this food up on the way back from LGA or JFK). Back then, Moe’s was my favorite of the 3. But, in the last 4 – 5 years, Chipotle has EXPLODED. Both of my work offices(Huntington and Farmingdale) have a Chipotle within a short drive. Chipotle HIcksville showed up across the street from Q-doba and drove them out of business. They opened the one in Hauppauge too which I can get to in 9 minutes from my house, saving me from the 16 minute drive to Deer Park. What does all this mean? Well, it means that I haven’t been to a Moe’s in 4 to 5 years. Obviously I like Chipotle better and they were all so much more convenient to me than Glen Cove. Well, Moe’s in Commack is now closer to my house than any Chipotle, so I gave it a whirl. Now, the other lengthy review here for this Moe’s centers around Moe’s blandness. And I have to say, I very much agree. There really is a lack of taste to the food, and it’s kind of sad. Although bland, the food is definitely fresh, and the chips are good and the salsa bar definitely can give you the taste that you need. But that shouldn’t have to be the case, a burrito shouldn’t need to be loaded up with a few different types of salsa just to give it some flavor. I teetered this review between 2 and 3 stars. I settled on 3 because in retrospect, aside from the blandness, I enjoyed the experience. The staff was nice, the place is CLEAN and nicely finished, the prices are reasonable, the chips are good, the salsa is great, the iced-tea is cold and once you’ve dumped a hearty amount of whichever salsa suits your fancy on the food, it ain’t so bad.

Oh Moe’s…I had sooooo much hope in you. I had heard such wonderfully amazing stories about your food’s freshness and delectability, that I knew there was no way possible you would or could ever be able to live up to the hype. Unfortunately, not only were the stories not even close to true, but the sub-par mediocrity of your food makes me believe they were just fables told by individuals who had never even actually eaten your food, but like me, had just heard stories about it from other people. The food was pretty terrible to be blunt about it. Not terrible in the…“If I attempt to eat another bite of this I may projectile vomit” type of terrible, but more along the lines of this is just some tasteless, flavorless, temperature neutral food that has absolutely nothing notable about it. When I say nothing… I really mean NOTHING! I ordered a chicken rice bowl. I was excited about the«seasoned» rice I was about to taste because Chipotle’s rice has cilantro(my arch-nemisis of the food world) in it and I always have to get my burrito’s and bowls sans rice from their locations because of it. The rice was beyond dry, to the point where little clumped up balls of it had formed in the bottom of my dish and the seasonings… well you can call them that if you want to, but I didn’t taste much. The black beans were probably the most edible part of the bowl and they were just okay… normal everyday black beans. I prefer Chipotle’s because they cook them in a bit of bacon and it just gives them an added flavor. The onions and peppers were okay as well, but as with the rest of the food just lacked any form of flavor or taste. Lastly… the chicken! Oh my god… the«chicken!» I really don’t understand how they can even call that chicken. The honest truth… it looked like they poured sawdust on the top of my meal. It was tiny little pebbles of the driest, most flavor devoid poultry I have ever tasted(or didn’t taste for that matter) in my entire life. The portion size of the«chicken» serving was shameful as well. Around half of that received at Chipotle, even though the total meal was more expensive than Chipotle’s! It was really shameful to be frank and even more so because a friend and I ate there today right at opening, so either they were serving yesterday’s leftover’s or their food really is just downright abominable! Free chips were good and they gave you lots of them, but they were unsalted and the free salsa’s all tasted like water! Seriously… like the juice you squeeze out of a tomato and water! I will never go back to this place again. A waste of time and money. Chipotle gets my vote and will get my money and business in the future.

Great southwestern food at a good price. This location just opened and I tried without success to eat there the day after it opened — the place was packed. I went back today and had a great meal at a good price. They have a touch screen Coke machine that can dispense any coke product with a choice of flavors added — vanilla, cherry, lime, etc. It takes some time to figure out how to use so on busy days expect a line at the soda machine. I had a delicious burrito and the freshly made chips and salsa were delicious.
