Wow! I ordered gumbo. It was so delicious! Fresh ingredients! The gumbo served with seasoned, grill-warmed pita. Nice touch. Owners and support staff were very pleasant. I will definitely return to try more of the menu.

Just had dinner at Frank’s seafood, yes, there is a restaurant attached. The oysters were wonderful as was the blackened salmon salad. Amazing shrimp and tasty fries. Great selection of seafood and fish to choose from. There is a small inside seating area and plenty of outside seating on the patio. Everything is very fresh and cooked to order. Another plus is the friendly and helpful service provided by the operators of the restaurant. Be sure to save room for dessert. The lemon cake is not to be missed! Once you try it, you will become a regular and the owners will know your name. It has been some time since I have had such personal service and outstanding food in a local restaurant.

Wow, wow, wow!!! First of all I never knew this place existed until I read about it on Unilocal!I have lived in Hilliard now since 01! Ugh I have been missing out! The resultant is currently closed until May! Bummer! Remodeling and new restaurant owners coming in. All good changes. I must say, this is the place to go buy seafood!!! Wow it is super clean, not at all smelly. We go to the beach every year and buy from local fish markets and the smell is terrible! Here, it’s not! Frank, the owner is wonderful and takes pride in what he does!!! I love supporting local and it’s even better when they truly care! The store is well organized and stocked full of quality products! The quality of seafood in the market is truly amazing! You can get anything there fresh and frozen! They make a homemade crab salad that is to die for! They also have several smoked fish as well! Highly recommend this place! We got the Orange Roughy today to put on the grill, the crab salad, and lobster bisque. We will be back often! Can’t wait for the restaurant to reopen as well! *************new restaurant opens*************** New owners that are so sweet and fantastic!!! Kim and Will are doing an amazing job! Kim is super friendly and helpful! The place has been open for 3 weeks now. The line moved quickly and Kim was so nice to go over everything with me! This is a carry and go when the weather is not the best-there is a 4 seat, 2 top and a 4 seat bar inside. Outside-an amazing patio! Can’t wait to come back when the weather in nicer! But who am I kidding-this is going to be a go to now no matter the weather! This place is worth visiting! Almost everything is handmade! All the sauces, minus the dressings for the salads, and desserts! And let me explain the desserts! Kim wanted the best so she orders them from New York! Oh yeah! And they honestly looked delicious! The homemade tarter and lemon aioli is full of flavor and a huge compliment to the fresh seafood! I got the salmon cakes– a hint of spice with this amazing bed of corn, tomato, and black bean chutney that had a sweetness to it. This is more of a relish not a chutney to me. But I guess that is all in your own definition. Either way-AMAZING! Served with fresh lemon and 2 large cakes all for $ 9! I also got the salmon BLT! And yup I highly recommend this one!!! The salmon was cooked to perfection, fresh-not dry or fishy, applewood smoked bacon, and the addictive aioli. This is a personal thing, but I wish the salmon had a little more seasoning and the bacon was crisper and I wish I would have gotten the aioli on the side. I don’t eat bread. So now I know when going back how to order it my way :). PS– only $ 10! Also I got a side salad instead of the fries-$ 2 up charge and worth it. And I accidentally got those addictive things called fries-oooops! Not complaining-because they are FRESH cut and have an amazing special seasoning on them! I am a sucker for homemade fries and these do not disappoint! Very few places take the time and love to do homemade fries! It’s really is an amazing touch and speaks volumes to places that do do it! As for that side salad-fresh greens, not a bag mix, feta, pepperoncini, firm grape cherry tomatoes, English cucumbers, and thin slices red onion. Reminds me of a small Greek salad. I am a salad person and this is amazing! Love the attention to detail on the high quality ingredients. My only grip is the dressing I got was balsamic and it was different and I didn’t like it. So I just used the lemon. The menu has a lot to offer and specials change daily. The soups look amazing! They have An amazing non complicated menu! Appetizers, platters, soup and salad, sandwiches, an extended kids menu, and sweet treats! I never tried the old owners, but I can’t even imagine it being this good! Love, love, love– not to mention from what I observed the place was super clean from front to back!!! Round 2 Will’s homemade soups are fantastic! He puts his own spin on them. The New England«clam chowder» needs to be renamed. Truly amazing! Not a fishy taste or are the clams chewy. More of a blend of cheese and cream base. Highly recommend it! Served with warm thick pita and seasoned with Wills homemade seasoning. The Gumbo is also unique and great. The fish lettuce wraps were out of this world! I picked fresh Walleye. The homemade aioli sauce, rice, and feta was a unique twist and added a whole different taste profile. The fresh fish sandwiches are also fantastic! I love they will customize anything and are not afraid to think outside of the box.

This place was incredible! It is a very small location, but the food is amazing! Probably the best gumbo that I have ever eaten.

Very tasty food. I loved the gumbo!!! It was so flavorful and loaded with shrimp, and andouille sausage. The Thai glazed lamb chops were finger licking good! The place is small but the service is excellent. I can’t wait to tell my friends about this restaurant.

Solid food! This is a store restaurant combo in the same building. This review is for the restaurant! Brand new change of owners in the café. They’ve been open about 6 weeks! It’s a husband wife team. The wife was a professional store opener in corporate and the husband has been a chef his whole life. They are both super awesome. She’s very friendly and makes eating there very enjoyable. Of course, the food was delicious. The oysters were large and cooked perfectly. Not too far and not too little. The clam chowder was a lively rendition of an old stand by. The calamari salad was good also, especially with the spicy ranch dipping sauce! I love supporting new(and good) restaurants and would come back here often if I was a local! Hopefully they’ll be here next time I’m in Columbus!

I have never eaten at the restaurant, but this place has the freshest seafood you can get. The swordfish filets are amazing, and the bacon wrapped scallops are awesome. If I am making seafood this is the only place to buy

The people here are out of this world!!! The restaraunt, run by Kim and«Papito» is simply fantastic. I cannot say enough about them — they made feel like part of the family. I pride myself to be a gumbo connoisseur, and I have to tell you that this is the best gumbo I have ever eaten. This was my first visit and I can’t wait to return with friends in tow to enjoy some great food and wine on the patio. I am telling everybody about this place who will listen!

Not good :(We were really looking forward to eating here after seeing some of the good reviews. We both got fish sandwiches and they were terrible. They were super greasy and the flavor was sub par. The texture was gross and it just stayed in our mouths. The couple behind us was raving about how delicious everything was… maybe we just ordered the wrong thing but we were extremely disappointed. I can say for sure that we will never be back.

We’ve had two meals from this very small restaurant, both were take out and both were mostly great. The first time we went, it was on a Friday evening, around 6:00pm. The parking lot was pretty full of cars(maybe 10) so we figured we’d have to wait a bit, but that was not the case. When we walked in, there were a few people in line, but the wait was minimal. The amount of choices on their menu is not extensive, but the place smelled great, so we went ahead and ordered the fish and fries and the Veal chops dinner. We also ordered a bowl of gumbo and a brownie for dessert. The food was packaged and ready in just a few minutes and as we only live 5 minutes away, we were soon chowing down on it all. We loved the fried cod, it was battered perfectly and fried to perfection. The veal chops were spectacular(the sauce… the sauce) and the side dishes were good. The Gumbo might have been the best part though. It was still nice and hot, the flavors were fresh and when I took a swig, I immediately felt like I was in a swanky New Orleans restaurant. The only thing we did not like were the fries, as they were limp and greasy. We went back exactly one week later and again ordered the fish & fries, but only after asking if they could cook the fries thoroughly. The staff was very receptive and this did not cause any problems. We also ordered 2 pieces of fried catfish, a larger bowl of Gumbo and 2 Salmon cakes. This time when we got home, everything we ate was awesome. Both the fried catfish and the cod were great… the french fries were crispy and golden brown(and great)…the salmon cakes(think crab cakes but with salmon) were better than great. The Gumbo was slightly different, but still great. Wow. For such a small place, they do put out some great food… did I mention everything was great? This place only has two tables and then a couple more stools for seating and is connected to a slightly larger fish and seafood market. The staff is extremely friendly and the prices are reasonable. We have made purchases from the market in the past, for a Southern Boil(Crab legs, clams, oysters and more) and will continue to go back whenever we need seafood for a meal we are cooking at home, but the restaurant really blew us away. Highly recommended!

Store side — My wife has special, changing, nutritional needs(chemo) — we can walk in and get the recommended seafood for her diet any time that it’s needed. Frank and his associates will tell you what’s good now, what needs to be served in a day or two, and when to wait for a new shipments. In five years, I’ve yet to buy anything that wasn’t top quality when we prepared it. Take-out side — closed again for another remodel — will be open again in mid-March 2016. Please understand — Mr. Gonzales will =not= permit a sub-standard manager to feed his customers. The only part that hurts is the lack of my weekly walleye fix while his new carryout manager gets things up to speed. :)

I have been to this place several times but not for carry-out. Few times the prices were off the charts but the seafood is always fresh… The only reason for the four stars is that the store could be organized better. Well, I guess that’s because it is more of a wholesale rather than a retail store… I am planning to try take-out sometime in the near future. Once I do, I will revise my review. We will see if it will get the 5th star from me or not… My advice to you: Please give it a try…

This review is for the carryout kitchen only. There are two doors to enter the establishment. The one to the left is for the carryout, and the one on the right is for the market. If you enter the market door, you can still walk through to the carryout, and vice versa, which many customers seem unable to resist. For good reason. I was hooked on Frank’s carryout from my first visit over a year ago. The seafood here is as good, and maybe better, as any seafood in town and CHEAPER. Nooo, not cheap like Captain Ds or M&M Fish, but way better. Bet on it. The carryout kitchen has changed hands twice now, but the food has not suffered. They did take chicken wings off the menu; but sorry, duh, why would someone order chicken wings when there are oysters, shrimp, gator bits and a variety of fresh fish on the menu?! They also offer daily fish, pie and soup specials. If you are a vegetarian, there are hush puppies, portobello fingers, bean & corn soups. Most things are fried, but not greasy with a thick coating of flour. BTW, the coating here is cornmeal. I try not to eat french fries, but their fries are sooo good… what the hell. The same for the hush puppies, crisp on outside, moist inside. You’ll taste the flavor of the food and not the fryer. Big Plus in my book. The carryout is small, so you are encouraged to order your food and take it away. Service is fast & friendly. However, I have enjoyed eating in the small space and talking with the other customers. In good weather, there is an attached small outside patio, with table and chairs. No alcohol sales. Yet. It’s worth the drive.

This place is truly one of the hidden gems of Columbus. The food is excellent and everyone that works there are very personable. The oysters that we had here were better than the oysters we had at Hog Island in San Francisco, and was the fraction of the price. $ 9 for half a dozen vs $ 36! I had the po-boy crawfish sandwich and my wife had the fish and chips with a side of clam chowder. I would recommend both of those.

This place is awesome. Seriously putting this into the mix of our regular spots. The food is cooked well, not greasy, and the counter guys are super friendly and eager to provide top notch customer service. We had the calamari, shrimp, and blackened salmon BLT. Everything was delicious and we were mind blown that this little gem exists in Columbus. My only wish is that they would spice up the cocktail sauce. I like super spicy sauce with my seafood and theirs was very mild. Definitely coming back for the great service and amazing food.

What a change over last summer and not for the better. We ordered catfish two ways with fries. Neither fish order was cooked long enough to brown at all. Batter was just shy of under cooked. Cole slaw was brown and flavorless. When asked why some sides and main dishes are gone it was a ’ they were not profitable as they had ingredients we could not multi-purpose ‘. Ok great. Please just say they don’t sell well then. We came today for the clam strips and corn salad and both are gone. Fries were still fresh or recent cut but just odd tiny pieces. Who does that? At the end when asked how it was, we were honest that we probably would not come back. So we got a taste of the gumbo and clam chowder to save the day It was the last two nails in the coffin. Still be buying raw fish here but not the cooked. Frank’s what did you DO! What a waste of a patio.

We had not ordered in awhile, but decided to get carryout on Fri. night. The man on the phone was super nice, but advised that as of 3 weeks ago they no longer offer platters(entrée with 2 sides and hush puppies). We ordered two entrees with 2 sides each($ 2.00 per side). He offered the combo, which is a side and a drink, to save $. I declined because we don’t need drinks to eat at home. :-) The food is still very good but we were disappointed in the smaller portions of fish and fries. They are fresh-cut and delicious. Yes, I know I don’t need a huge mass of them, but I like them. Photos attached. P. S. Their website menu is out of date; I was looking at it when I called for platters.

Absurdly good lunch! This joint is part fish store, small part restaurant. No waiter service here. Two four-tops, two-top, and 4 bar stills along the wall. That’s it. Nothing special. But, put the food in your mouth and you won’t give a shark’s tooth! The two gentlemen running, and doing the cooking, are fantastic chefs! The chefs been here a few months, and his colleague amost two. Great people personalities. They’ve revamped the menu from the last guy. Streamlined a bit. My good friend found out about this place, thus we decided to meet on Saturday. Wow! First thing’s first: The breading on the finish was so light and airy… Not overpowering. The fish(came with the fries and coleslaw meal) was super moist and melt-in-your-mouth. Their homemade coleslaw? Slightly sweet, perhaps pinch of pepper — the taste was definitely unique. The fries were fresh lightly salted. I crumbled under pressure and shared the shop’s Crème Brûlée dessert. Outlandishly good! The crème brûlée had hints of vanilla(ice cream mixed in, perhaps?). Thin coating of caramelized sugar on top. Quite tasty, indeed! I recommend everyone try this joint! Can’t wait to try more of their offerings!

I am from the North Carolina coast– and their fish market absolutely impressed me! I will certainly be back! They even get live soft shell crabs in the spring! That’s crazy out here! Fresh fish from Greece, it’s astounding! The restaurant part, I got a walleye and a whiting sandwich, neither were too remarkable. The fish was a bit skimpy and flavorless. The hush puppies aren’t hush puppies really, they are deep fried cornbread balls. Mine were quite dry too. Also, the slaw was just, peculiar. While I was there the fried clam strips and shrimp I saw another family get looked fantastic. So I will give them another try and certainly go for one of those options. So it’s a three stars till I get back to try those.
