My son needed his first haircut & I was a bit nervous about how he would handle sitting still, since he’s only 16 months-old. Our experience at Cookie Cutters on Morse Rd was excellent! They staff was welcoming & fast. Our stylish really did a great job, not only with the cut but with interacting with my child. It was a fun first cut experience & we’ll be back, especially with our coupons & frequent customer punch card:)

My daughter loved it so I’ll be forgiving but I was shocked when the hair cutting professional announces she can cut my kids hair because she had lice. So I come look and as all the rest of the staff hurry over as if it’s an exhibit and the nearby parents grab their children a closer glance reveals a white fuzzy. I had to basically prove it was not lice so she would cut the hair. After that little unnecessary embarrassment she gives a cut and is finished before I’ve given my approval. I ask her to cut a little more and she does but tells me how I’ve requested it would be uneven. Hmmm… Thanks but I know how I’m planning on doing my child’s hair. Anyways, the appt took over an hour BC when finished they never tell me they have prepared the package I purchased(they do have a cute option for first timers to have a keepsake certificate with a printed photo and lock of hair.) It was clean. I just think staff should be educated on things such as lice if you’re going to cut hair for a living. It was nice for something special but I can’t say I would go back to that location just based on staffed disappointment.

Still going here month after month for our cuts! Very quick, and easy — and I love that they have a punch card system so that I occasionally earn a few bucks off.

I walked in with my son and specifically ask them, «Do you know how to fade biracial boys’ hair?. Of course, the lady says yes so I let them have at it. I will say, my son was entertained by thing they had him sit in and the tv, however, they DONOT know how to fade hair. They used the same size clippers all over my child’s head giving him a buzz cut, not a fade(I could have done that at home). What really irritated me is that they charge DOUBLE what the barber shops charge and can’t do what the barber shops can do. No thanks! Lesson learned. Stick with the barber shops!

This was far and away the best hair cut my Kids have ever had. My 5 yo does NOT like getting his hair cut under normal circumstances. However, this time, he loved it! He got to pick his own chair and put on his fav show on the personal tv at every station. My 1 ½ yo son had a great time as well. No tears, no muss, no fuss. To top it off the haircuts really were the best haircuts my boys have ever had. I couldn’t be happier! Just an FYI, make sure you bring cash for a tip.

It was my son’s first hair cut at 1.5 years and I was very nervous considering he is multiracial and had beautiful curls… and I didn’t want to lose them! The receptionist must have sensed my anticipation as she quickly grabbed my information per my set appointment and got my son into a nice firetruck chair. My stylist was awesome, she herself has multiracial children and did a good look over his hair texture and the curls to smile and say«nothing to worry about mama, those curls aren’t going anywhere». I think the entire shop heard my huge sigh of relief! ! Excellent service, super clean facility and even had a little playground like setup in the front In which my son enjoyed after his cut. First time parents do not fear, stylists are prepared for screaming children a and unhappy first visits but luckily my little one enjoyed his time. A few times he started to follow along with cries he heard behind him but my super awesome stylist cooed him back to happy baby! They have a few different chairs to place children in such as a tractor, firetruck, plane and one other I am forgetting. Each chair comes equipped with a television, playing super children friendly cartoons and each chair allows the children to play with the moveable wheels and bells. There is more than enough room for one parents and stylist to be next to the child. Recommend making an appointment before walking in, especially on weekends as they are busy! The cut was quick, the final result looked great and I even received a discount for his first cut and received a picture with a bag filled of his chopped of curls. Thank you, Cookie Cutters of Gahanna, instead of crying I was in awe at the final result. You have definitely earned my future business and references! My first cookie cutter experience was a success and we will definitely go back soon! The ending result looks flawless and my anxiety of haircuts has been depleated. Thank you, Cookie Cutters of Gahanna!

They were very personable and laid back. My kid loved it. We didn’t have an appointment and we just walked in around 10 on a Tuesday morning and got in right away. The atmosphere was great and my kid loved her first hair cut certificate. Very professional and a great experience.

Took the tiny human here for her first haircut. They did a great job. You can tell they do this all day, every day, which I suppose is a good thing. The place is largeish and open, a small play area and some built-in video gaming consoles line the outside area of the waiting area. Additional video games and televisions with appropriate fare lay in front of the small children’s haircutting seats(fire engine, truck, etc.). We had an excellent experience here and no issues with the seats or the price, either. It was worth the cost to get a good quality cut and the little special things they do for the first-timers. Will definitely return in the future, the child seemed to love it, too.

Made an appointment, which we were told is recommended but walk-ins are accepted. Not sure why we were told to make an appointment as we had to wait a half hour after the appointment time to get him in. The waiting area has a large Little Tikes play area and two game systems for kids to entertain themselves as they wait. The stations where the haircuts are done for infants/toddlers are old pedal cars converted into barber chairs. They had a tractor, airplane, taxi car, and firetruck. They also had tvs at each station and would change the program to one of your choosing. Unfortunately they tried to sit my son in the tractor which was not secure(seat was angled steeply forward and seat belt did not tighten enough to restrain him in the«seat»)) for a 10 month old. I advised them it was not safe and was told to wait for the taxi chair. Once he was seated in the questionably safe(seat again angled forward, loose belt, low sides) taxi chair the cut went extremely well. The stylist did a great job as we snapped pictures of his first haircut. For two dollars more than the standard cut they offered a first haircut package. This included a certificate with a photo in the taxi car and a small ziplock containing snips of his hair. This was a nice memento to have for the occasion. We received coupons for the next visit and a punch card for an eventual free cut. I still have to give the place three stars for the wait, questionable safety for small children, and it was a little pricey for the service provided. I would still recommend as there are many distractions for the kids that take the attention from the«strange person with scissors» trying to cut their hair.

My son was nearing two before I finally broke down and took him to get his hair cut by a professional. Before that I always trimmed it at home and I was very nervous about someone else getting near him with scissors. Cookie Cutters is a little pricey, but for a toddler, I don’t think the atmosphere could be beat. He got to sit in a little taxi, with a wheel he could steer, and watch Dora the Explorer on a TV meant only for him. He hardly noticed the hair cut and it was over in under 10 minutes. It looked great and everything was straight and even. So the bottom line is that Cookie Cutters costs more than a regular cut for a kid, but you get what you pay for.
