I believe in this place so much that I continue to raise money and promote their services as much as I can. I am a CS&HC client. I also volunteer as a graphic designer.

We have had an amazing experience at Columbus Speech and Hearing. We have twin boys attending the preschool program, one of them also receiving individualized treatment. Every member of speech and OT staff we have dealt with has gone out of their way to keep us informed and to help us be sure we are making the best decisions for the care and development of the boys. The teaching staff is always going above and beyond. I can’t say enough good things about the LELP program. The ratios are low, there is so much attention given to each child, and the boys are excited to go in the mornings. AND – their language is already improving greatly after only a few months. The once-a-week individual therapy is also proving extremely helpful and we love our therapist. Everyone is genuinely concerned that our boys are succeeding. I would recommend this place to any parent or caregiver.

Stopped in here the other day with my Mom as she had an appointment. We had to park around the back side of the building and walk around to the front.(It was lightly raining that morning, but it wasnt too bad.) But we made it inside to where we needed to be. The admin took our info and paperwork and we waited. It was a little odd that there wasnt anyone else in the waiting room. Thought maybe there would other people, but there werent. We are going back for a followup appointment. I need to be inspired a little more of this place.

Through helping the Columbus Speech & Hearing Center figure out ways to reach audiences with a deeper and broader depth, I was able to take a tour of their facility and learn more about their services. These people are doing cool work! Of the many speech and hearing services they provide, including audiology, speech therapy, and hearing aid/testing services, I was most surprised they also help with vocational placement for people with disabilities. On site they provide four floors of therapy(including lots of rooms for occupational therapy and even accent ‘therapy’), testing, education(sign language) and even have a preschool! The most surprising fact we learned is that there is a growing population of teenagers coming into the center with hearing loss from mp3 players! Crazy! But believable. From babies to seniors, the Speech and Hearing Center offers assistance with all things related to effective communication. It’s amazing to learn about all the cool organizations helping others in this city. And even more inspiring to learn about how passionate the people are about helping and the community of people supporting them!
