All American Eyeglass Repair

I appreciate their tremendous customer service!!! I have had several pair of glasses repaired there and they are a lifesaver!!! Cheaper than buying new glasses and I greatly appreciate their work. I would recommend anyone that needs eyeglass repair pay them a visit. They are extremely honest as to whether or not they can effect a repair on your glasses. They do outstanding work and the turnaround is incredible!!!

Lenscrafters said my rimless glasses couldn’t be fixed. (I really like them because they are so lightweight.) I found American Eyeglass Repair online, mailed them my glasses and got them back in a week, fixed beautifully. They replaced the nosepiece at a very reasonable price. Great service — thanks!

Unbelievably great work!!! I sent two pairs in to be repaired (both pairs, i was told by the optician in Cleveland, could not be repaired), but Nick at All American Eyeglass Repair in Columbus fixed them both! And, the pair he put new tortoise shell arms on (for only 49 bucks!) matched perfectly!!! Truly, if i could rate above five i would. Nick is my new hero.

Hubs broke his glasses and took them back to the place where he got them. They said they couldn’t repair them and would have to order new frames. But they said for the break he had he could get them repaired for way cheaper than new frames at this place.
Just walked in one day, handed them to the guy at the counter and he said come back in 2 hours after explaining to me how they would be repaired. No problem! Came back and they were fixed good as new. They had to solder part of the frame around the nose piece back to together and it left just the tiniest discoloration on the frame but for 60 $ which included replacing the nose pads as well to have the glasses good as new? Heck yeah!!!

I had previously said that there ought to be a way to rate businesses that exceed reasonable expectations. Well, All American has just done that … AGAIN! It’s not as if my last review could get any better, but I have to mention that one week ago (Sunday) the other hinge on my glasses broke. Of course, I didn’t think twice before sending them to All American. I had them boxed up and in the mail by Monday. Got a call from Rick on Wednesday, saying that they had received my glasses, and that the price was going to be even lower than the last time they repaired the same kind of broken hinge. Unbelievable!
Oh, and I’m wearing those same glasses right now, since I got them back yesterday. So they went from NY to Ohio, got fixed and sent back from Ohio to NY, all in the span of 5 or 6 days.

They are lifesavers! I was on travel in Columbus and broke my glasses. With Bent metal frames, popped lens and snapped the nose pad holder, I quickly drove right over there.
They repaired the glasses in 30 minutes while I waited. Only $ 49!!!
These guys got me out of a tough spot and did so very economically. Super professional, expert workmanship, their facility is clean and relaxing.

I’ve gone there twice to get the arms reattached to the rest of the frame, and it’s both quick and inexpensive (like, $ 10 – 15.) I was worried they’d look down on my glasses for being cheap, but it was obvious the technician/​owner didn’t care at all.

VERY nice and professional! Arrived just before closing and Brian greeted us as if we were the first customer of the morning. He took time to diagnose the problem and gave us honest advice. Definitely recommend this place for its excellent customer service!!!

I had a good experience with these guys last October (2012). I have this pair of cheap knockoff metal frames from Hong Kong, designed to look like an expensive discontinued high-​end Italian frame that I used to have. The Hong Kong version is very cheaply made. One of the earpieces snapped off, so to put the glasses back together, they needed to be carefully welded so that the screw mount would line back up with the frame. To match the other side of the frame, they would also need to craft and mount a new spring housing + spring.
The guy at All American Eyeglass Repair was very up-​front about what kind of work this would require, how much it would cost (about $ 70 if I remember correctly), and that he couldn’t match the paint on my glasses but that nobody would be able to see the repair unless I took my glasses off my face. He told me that I should really think about it since that’s enough money that I should arguably just get new glasses; in other words, he was not pushy about the repair at all. But I really loved this particular frame, so I told him to go ahead and do it. To my surprise, he said it would be ready in just a few hours. I went back later that day to pick them up, and they look and feel great.

Walked in to get hinge of glasses fixed. Was advised my glasses were wood and he could not fix them. OBVIOUSLY WERE PLASTIC. They were made to look like wood but are too light to even be wood. The texture feels like plastic. The nose piece (one piece) turns clear, so obviously were not wood. Not rocket science.
Took to somewhere else out of town and they laughed when I said this guy refused to fix because they were «wood»…
