Booked a stay on new years eve for 3 nights. 1st room carpet was soaked in front of vanity. Sheets had stains on them. Room was on 1st floor right under stairs and very noisy. Next morning went to front desk to request another room. Employee was apologetic and helpful moved me to another room. 2nd night 2nd room. door look didn’t work well looked like it was about to fall off door. All wall outlets on one wall did not work. Lamps didn’t work, outlets on the lamps didn’t work, toilet didn’t flush well, and shower didn’t drain. Called front desk for maintenance but no one there at night. Went straight to front desk to move again. Got put in a 3rd room on 2nd night. Everything ok EXCEPT remote doesn’t work. DONOTSTAYHERE.

I stayed at this Best Western on November 28, 2015 for one night in a King room. Generally speaking I like staying at Best Westerns, when given the option. The room smelled fresh when I checked in, and the furniture was free of dust except where you typically find it(behind things). I give it a three because of a few things. There was a fair amount of road noise from the adjacent highway… although it wasn’t so loud that it bothered my sleep. If you’re a very light sleeper it could be an issue. The pillows were tiny, and even though there were 4 of them, they were sub-par. They were like 2⁄3 standard size. The bed itself was moderately comfortable. It definitely wasn’t a pillow top, but it wasn’t too bad either. The lamps had built in outlets, which would have been very convenient, but they didn’t work. Luckily there was a wall outlet fairly convenient for my laptop, and I leeched my cell phone off of that. The toilet seat was smaller than the toilet, so your butt touches porcelain… which is kinda gross. The bath towels were a bit scratchy and smallish. The ironing board hangs directly in front of the fridge door, so you bang it slightly every time you go for a drink. On the plus side: The price was VERY reasonable, especially with a Veterans Discount. The WiFi was very strong, some of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. The lights were plenty bright, a problem at some hotels. The TV was clear and decent size. Water pressure was great, and the shower head was high enough(I’m 6’5 and it was just above my head). All in all, I’d recommend this hotel to pretty much anyone that needs an overnight in Columbus.

The complimentary breakfast was mostly yogurt, cereal, and waffles, but there was plenty of seating and wiggle room while preparing your plate. The coffee was awful, but potent. Thankfully, they had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. However, there were popsicles and applesauce cups that had literally frozen over from being left in the freezer for so long — they weren’t ours! I found a ton of hairs in the shower/tub, as well as on the vanity. The rest of the room was pretty clean, but I highly recommend refraining from looking behind furniture; it looked like the space behind the nightstand hadn’t been vacuumed in months. There was never anyone just hanging out on the hotel grounds. I never saw security but I always felt safe, even when I was out very late at night or early in the morning by myself. I hate to give it 3-stars because I liked this place a lot. Matter of the fact is that it just wasn’t very clean.

I stayed here for 5 days over the fourth of the July weekend. Nothing too special about this place, free wifi, the room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a small but pretty nice pool, as well as complimentary breakfast served until 9. One of the positives of staying at this location is that it’s literally right next to a Waffle House(walking distance), as well as a McDonalds, Denny’s, Dunkin Donuts right down the street. It’s also not too far from Fort Benning if you’ve got loved ones you are visiting on post.

Spent 3 nights here for our friend’s graduation at Fort Benning. This place was wonderful. The room we stayed in was definitely big enough, and there was 4 of us in there. The location was only 10 – 15 minutes away from the National Infantry Museum and the base. Exit 10 was about 15 minutes away, for those who don’t know, exit 10 has all the shopping and restaurants. The good thing about the hotel was that rite aide was across the street, waffle house & viva el toro restaurant was right next door so you could walk there if you didn’t want to drive. The hotel had a free breakfast but we never had time to try it, too busy rushing around. Same with the pool. It looked nice, but we had no time to use it. Only problems I had: –the towels, a little rough and some had lint that would come off as you wiped yourself down. –there was no dvd player in the room! grrrr! Those are minor problems to me, I still suggest everyone stay here :)
