They do not return calls. They take no ownership of issues surrounding delivery of their products. They misrepresent delivery of merchandise in order to collect delivery fees even though the stuff to be delivered isn’t even in their warehouse. They want the «white glove» fee and threaten to cancel your order if you don’t pay right away. Then you wait a couple of weeks and nothing happens and you find out your order isn’t even in. Totally bogus operation.

We initially joined in Columbia in 2007. It was worth every dime we paid for the expensive membership fee. My wife and I had built our townhouse in Baltimore and we easily made up the membership fees with the savings of the kitchen appliances alone.
On high end furniture, we save at least 70% up to 85% off. It is an out rage how much furniture is marked up.
Yes, you may be able to get comparable sales on line for lower end to maybe even medium end furniture, but the high end stuff I doubt you will find a better deal. My wife and I shop on line for many things, but we can not find the same type of deals.
We even buy pricey wedding gifts here for much cheaper including high end luggage.
Savings on electronics is not that much and is comparable to Costco.
You can order things to for other people and have it delivered to other direct buy clubs and sometimes even there homes directly from the manufacturer.
I would highly recommend anyone who is planning to fully furnish their new home to join direct buy.

My husband and I redid our kitchen, hardwood flooring, garage doors, living room furniture, upstairs carpeting, and bought a vacuum cleaner, high-​end nursery crib and changing table– all at a fraction of retail price.
Name brands and all with TOP GRADE, first quality materials at deep discounts. We entertain a lot and our guests constantly remark about how beautiful our «exotic» granite is. The staff is efficient, friendly, and very helpful in locating what we need. Buying is believing.
3 of our friends signed up and tell us how happy they are they did. In earnest– this place is all that they advertise. We’ve been happy members since 2005… and regularly go to Directbuy. We are getting ready to do the last of our BIG ITEM home remodeling– the bathrooms. But we know we will continue to buy over the years– I have professional cookware on my birthday present list.. .

Received a mailer from them and checked them out.
Upfront membership of over $ 3k with NO refunds and the offer is only good while you are in the show room. My research also shows that they have horrid customer service.
Sounds like a scam to me. Kinda like a timeshare.
But that is just my opinion. Do your own research.
