Out of searching, we found out that this place delivers, so it is our staple go to for Chinese delivery when we are on the broker side. The food is very reasonably priced– generally under $ 25.00 for both of us for delivery. Some of the food is bland, and the sweet and sour has an unusual sauce and I am not sure if I’d order it again. The crab wontons are good, but the filling is really runny, not sure if there is crab even in it, but I like the taste. I love the mushroom beef, they stir fry meat and whole button mushrooms in a dark brown sauce. The Garlic Chicken is great as well but it is fairly spicy.

This place is good. If you live in the area, don’t hesitate to order from them! The food is very standard chinese food flavors. They do have their own take on sauces and all, most of their entrees are great. I LOVE their eggrolls. Cheap lunches, and this place is never crazy busy, so it’s always quick service. They also deliver, pretty late too… I think until 9−10pm!

A hole in the wall located in a strip mall owned by a nice Asian couple. The wife does the waiting, while the husband cooks in the back. I really love these mom and pop shops, but I was a bit disappointed by the food quality. I really wanted to like this place, but I had a few gripes. First off, the fried rice had very little flavor. It’s as if they put it in the wok for 5 seconds and then served it. It didn’t have any vegetables or pieces of egg in it either. For my appetizer, I ordered the wonton and sad to say, it was the packaged stuff that you can find at any fast food Chinese place like Panda Express. I expected a little more flair out of a mom and pop. For my entrée, I got the beef and broccoli and it was tasty. Definitely better than a typical fast food Chinese joint. My egg drop soup was good too and I especially liked the little pieces of tofu. Shanghai Chinese restaurant is a great alternative to the fast food Chinese places and the price is right. I just wished that they put a bit more passion into it and cook with their own ingredients instead of packaged stuff.
