Sami’s Salon & Spa

As a biracial woman with biracial hair I do not trust 99% of hairdressers to know what to do with my hair nor how to approach it properly. My texture is made up of very fine pin-​straight hair, thick kinky curls and waves. I have been to salon after salon after salon with a horrible cut, intense breakage and awful results respectively. Not only is Sami very thorough but she is a perfectionist. She will not accept anything less than excellence on her clients and her attention to detail is top notch.
The most important thing is to be honest. I went in for a straightening treatment and gave her a full history on what was done to my hair and she knew EXACTLY what and how much product to use, where and how long to apply and I walked out with the least amount of breakage I’ve ever seen and with my hair feel MUCH healthier than when I came in. Mind you, I keep extremely good care of my hair and it had been left natural for almost a year. I asked her to just check my ends and not to cut if it didn’t need it and she ended up trimming less than a half inch off the ends. She showed me before she cut and by the end all it looked like she cut was peach fuzz. I was so happy!
I do not trust anyone else with my hair. She may be 45 minutes away and take her time but the value is well worth the money. Sami is wonderful, Tim is wonderful, Noi is amazing with nails, the young man that also cuts hair (god forgive me I forgot his name!) is also very talented.
It is reasonable to ask that small children (who harass her little dogs) not be in the salon unattended because there are shears and chemicals and sprays everywhere like a normal salon and Tim and her don’t want them getting hurt. That way Sami can’t put 110% attention on her clients.

Sami has been doing my hair for a couple years. There has never been one time where she didn’t make my hair look great. She is a true hair artist if she touches your hair no matter what she will do it will look awesome. Not only is she a great hair stylist but a amazing person that I have all the respect and love for. One word to summon her up Amazing. Marion

Sami has cut my hair for a couple of years now — she always listens and makes me beautiful!

It’s been a couple years since I was in the Springs but I feel compelled to leave Sami some feedback. First off she has been hands down my favorite stylist of all time, she is masterful with her skill. If I had the money I would fly back to have her do my hair again.
Her entire staff is pleasant. She always took her time and is a bit of a perfectionist… which is awesome. I miss her and I miss my hair looking fabulous.

I love this salon! Cory is a great hair stylist! Everyone is friendly and it’s a nice comfortable place to be.

My family was asked to come to this salon by a friend who was getting her hair done there. The owners were rude and told us that children were not allowed in the salon at all. My children were in no way impeding their business or causing distraction to anyone, but were told they needed to leave. Their yippee dog caused concern to my son as he was barking and rushing at him without any sort of control. While I do not disagree that Cory is a great, the owners certainly aren’t and are rude to people with children, but I bet if I also brought a yippee dog with me it would be well accepted. I hope that people looking for a salon think about the way the owners treat the members of our society who can’t stand up for themselves the children.
