Did a couples massage with Kari and Diane and it was amazing! I’ve never felt so rejuvenated in my life! We booked this as a special date day away from our kids and highly recommend this as a mini couples retreat. I would also like to add that they are sooo affordable. I researched a bunch of places for a couples massage and this gave me the most time for my money. Loved it!!! We will make this a monthly thing I think :) THANKYOU Kari and Diane!!!

I visited Lotus for a full body massage plus additional scalp massage, and thought my experience was fantastic! My masseuse’s name was Emmy and she was phenomenal! She asked before hand if I had any injuries and desired focus areas. I informed her about my shoulder injury and back injury and she was extremely attentive and sensitive with those areas. I also informed her that I had numerous knots in my neck area, which she provided additional attention The entire treatment lasted from 11:15AM to 1:15 and I honestly don’t believe I could have received better treatment and a better experience any where else. I would highly recommend Emmy to anyone looking for a great massage.

Didn’t even get to go to this spa. I called to book 2 massages for the same time. The person I spoke to said she didn’t have to time slots available at the same time. She would call the one of their therapists to see if she would be «willing» to come in so my sister and I could be booked at the same time. Never called me back. She repeated my number back to me, so I know she had the correct number. Guess they don’t need the business?

I got a gift certificate for a spa day here, otherwise I would not have gone due to previous Unilocalers’ reviews. Overall, no one was on the same page and I got lost in the shuffle more than once. It was far from luxurious and relaxing. I considered leaving in between services several times, but didn’t want to have to come back to use the credit on the gift card. It all started with inconvenient scheduling(they had to call me back after they figured it out). When I got there, a front desk girl was picking something out of the eye of the other front desk girl, and neither greeted me. When I just stood there for a minute, they eventually looked up at me as if confused about why I was there. I was walked back to the«locker room» and given a robe to change into. At this point, I still expected a lovely spa day ahead(which I had been waiting months for). That’s when a man walked into the locker room where I sat in my robe. Awkward for both of us, but apparently there is no other waiting area. My facial was okay, the best part of the day, not that that says much. After the facial, she started walking me to the front, but I had several other services scheduled. I told her and she put me back in the locker room. The massage was not good. First she asked if I wanted to order Panera since I was there for a while, but she didn’t have a menu and said I’d have to pay extra(even though«light lunch» was on my gift certificate). The bed heater wasn’t working and it was winter in Colorado. I could not relax because I was freezing. The relaxing music kept skipping and turning off for brief stints. She then also tried to walk me to the front desk afterward until I told her I still had more services scheduled. I was then forgotten in the locker room for about 30 minutes. The esthetician walked by and noticed I was still there and tracked down the nail tech. I went back for my pedicure, and now was eating my soup on my lap(yes, during a pedicure) because I was just now getting my lunch. The nail tech was okay, and very nice, but kept talking about how she is quitting and moving to Pueblo. Apparently the nail tech finished early, and I then waited 45MINUTES(!) in the locker room to wait for my shampoo/blow dry. The hairstylist was nice, but burned my head several times with the dryer– and I am far from tender-headed. It ended up looking pretty weird and mushroomy(I have a bob), so I fixed it when I got home. Overall, a bad day. Which I have never said about a spa experience EVER. My poor boyfriend then felt terrible about his gift. It was bad. Don’t go here.

I drove up from Denver to get my hair done by Cassie! She did such a great job and was greatly priced! I suggest that if you need your hair done in the Springs or if you want to make a trek up she will do a great job! When shampooing and conditioning my hair they use Precious Oils by Pureology and it was amazing and now I have to have that shampoo. The overall customer service was great! I look forward to this experience again. Go see Cassie Smelker! To make this even better she went to Kansas State! :) Enjoy!

I have been going to Lotus Salon and Spa for 9 years and will never go to another salon. Their customer service is wonderful and the atmosphere puts you right into«pampered» mode. The women are friendly and«down to earth,» never giving me the typical salon impression that can often make people uncomfortable. Sara C. is a wonderful hair stylist who truly listens to what her customers want and I have always walked away from her chair ecstatic about my new hair!

I went to Lotus Salton and Spa for the first time and was very impressed with the way my hair turned out! My hair dresser was Kristen Boss and she made me feel comfortable, was professional, fun to talk to and did a fantastic job on my hair! I got white highlights, layers and bangs and it looks so hot! Kristen is from Los Angeles and seems to have a lot of experience under her belt! I highly recommend using her!

(This isn’t Andy writing this review, it’s his girlfriend, Crissa) I have never been to a salon that treated their potential clients the way I was treated here. First of all, the two girls at the front desk don’t acknowledge you until they have to. They didn’t even crack a smile the whole time I was there. I wanted to have my hair re– highlighted because it was growing out. I showed the stylist a picture of a celebrity who had pretty blonde hair. While she was coloring my hair, she asked if I wanted more blonde than brown. I thought that was a silly question since I clearly wanted to have all over blonde highlights with different shades of blonde. Then after she was done, she used a ton of toner on my hair and left it in awhile. When she took the towel off, my hair was mostly this dark, ashy brown. Um, what? It looked nothing like the picture I showed her. After she was done blow drying it, it looked so ashy, almost grey. Looking back, I should’ve just refused to pay, but I hate causing a scene or confronting people, so I just reluctantly payed $ 110. While I was waiting to pay, the two girls at the desk didn’t look up from what they were doing for like 10 minutes. One of them just stared at me and told me to wait while they were working on something else. Which is fine, I wasn’t in a hurry, but they weren’t friendly or courteous at all. after that, i went to another stylist who colors my friend’s hair, and she fixed my hair, touched up my roots that were still dark(I have no idea what that Lotus girl did to my hair, I was there for 3.5 hours and came out with still dark roots and grey hair), and finally made my hair the shade of blonde I wanted in the first place. Well today I went back to Lotus to ask for my money back. I hate confrontation, so I quietly explained what happened: that the stylist didn’t do at all what I wanted and that I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed, and I wasn’t planning on spending around $ 300 to get my hair the way I wanted it. The two girls sitting at the front desk(Sandy was the name of one of them) just stared at me. Then this older lady came over and looked up when I had gotten my hair done there. It was a few weeks back. I work until 7 ever day, when the salon is closed, and this was the first Saturday I could get off and drive over there to get a refund. Well the owner wasn’t having it. She said there was nothing she could do about it now. She said if I had asked for a refund the week that I had gone in, she could’ve given me my money back. That was«salon protocol». I’m sorry I missed that memo. I told her what difference does it make how long ago, it was only like two weeks ago, and I still had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. She just got up and left. If that’s how they treat potential clients, they need serious help in the customer service department. So one of the girls said I could get some free shampoo.(Really??) I didn’t want free shampoo, I already have some. I just wanted my money back for the crappy hair dye job I got. But like I said, I hate confrontation, so I picked out some shampoo. The girl helping me clearly knew nothing about what she was talking about either. She recommended this one type of shampoo and on the bottle, it said it was for aging, grey hair. Well I didn’t have grey hair anymore, thanks to the second stylist I went to. So anyways, I picked out two huge bottles of shampoo which didn’t even total to the amount that I payed for the horrendous hair appointment in the first place. No one, not the two girls at the front desk or the owner herself, said sorry or anything! I couldn’t believe it. I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know not to go to that salon. The owner was a joke and rude and not friendly or helpful in any way.

Have to agree with Carianne(the previous reviewer) on this one-not all Aveda Salons are created equal and Lotus Salon and Spa proves that case in point. I was a little hesitant to try this one after the previous review, and I should’ve trusted my Unilocalsters to steer me true(bangs head against wall). I have learned my lesson well, my friends. First of all, the appointment scheduling started out on a frustrating note(five phone calls back and forth to guarantee an appointment, only to have the front desk staff call me after I was already at the salon to tell me that they couldn’t fit me in until the following week… um… hello? The stylist I was very attentive to making sure she understood what I wanted done with my color, but the little extras you come to expect from an Aveda Salon(i.e. magazines while you wait, beverages and perhaps an extra hand or foot massage) were totally absent. Those aren’t really a big deal, but they do go a long way to creating the whole«Aveda experience» you know and pay for. My color itself was less than inspiring and the weird styling was instantly covered by a ballcap the moment I stepped out of the salon. If that was the end to my Lotus experience, I probably would’ve given them two stars and chalked it up to a «meh» learning experience. But the star dropping conclusion to my less than stellar experience occurred during the pedicure I received after my hair color. I’m a little(ok– a LOT) fanatical about cleanliness when it comes to my tootsies, so was pretty appalled at their cavalier attitude towards cleanliness and sanitation. Equipment is not sterilized, gloves were not worn, and the biggest shock of them all? I watched a staff member drop the cuticle clippers not once but TWICE on the floor! She proceeded to dip them into the footbath water, shake them off a little and went back to using the SAME clippers on the client. EEEWWW! Run, Forrest, RRUUUUNNNNNNN!

I had a spa mani-pedi. It wasn’t bad, but it was not worth $ 100. The overall salon feel was cluttered and junky, the nail techs had to share scrub and other supplies because they didn’t have their own, and the massage was mostly smoothing on lotion. Very disappointed since I was looking for an indulgent spa experience and definitely paid for one.

NOTALLAVEDASALONSARECREATEDEQUAL. I went to this unfamiliar salon in an unfamiliar town based on the Aveda name, which I know well and trust. I had a certificate that entitled me to double Aveda points for a color service. I paid 50% more here than at my regular salon at home, and was not thrilled with the result. Then, it turns our they do not participate in the Aveda points program. I did really like my stylist, but I was surprised that she did not use Aveda products exclusively and also that she did not offer me a magazine while the color sat on my hair. This was not a $ 150 experience. Bottom line, I need to stop cheating on my regular stylist at home when I travel. I regret it every time.
