I had just moved to COS when I decided to do box color hair, thank goodness I found Shyer! Shyer fixed my mistake, and ever since my hair color is AMAZING! What I really like about Shyer is that she really understands what I want with color and cut. For a long time I had a really hard time finding someone who was truly good at both color and cut, so I am so happy I found Shyer. She also helped my daughter who is 12 and has wild curly hair(mine is as straight as it comes) she did a diva cut for my daughter and taught her how to style her hair. Now my daughter loves wearing her hair down, and is proud of her curls.

Pam has a passion for hair, and it shows in her work. My cut and color is fabulous, and it wasn’t hard to see all the effort that was put into making them that way. It was a lot more pricey than previous up scale salons I’ve been to(not moderate as listed here), but you definitely get what you pay for.

Meryl is awesome. Complete transformation for my husband’s mop. I’ve been a long time client of hers and I absolutely refuse to go anywhere else. I naturally have black Asian hair and she can get it the perfect blonde, you know, not the gross brassy orangey yellow tones. She’s super attentive and will make sure you walk out satisfied.

When you find a good hairstylist, grab on and hold on tight! I have been seeing Sheralee for years and she never fails to amaze me. She knows exactly how I want my hair to look and has a strong client base because she goes above and beyond. The salon is a nice gem on the southside of Tejon, which is nice because the parking is not a hassle and traffic is fair amongst all the other chaos on Tejon. I met the owner as well who was very nice and welcoming. Definitely my go to salon.

I am so sad to have to change my 5-star rating to a 2! They have completely changed over their staff, and not for the better. I went in for a color and cut and to my dismay, my color wouldn’t lift. Okay, not too big of a deal. There is only so much one person could do. I opted for a trim, since I am trying to grow my hair out. I really liked the weight that she took out and I was pleased when I left. I even booked another session of coloring with her for a few more weeks down the road. When I got home, I started playing with my hair and I realized that my hair was completely off balanced. The lengths in the front were off by ATLEAST an inch! I called and asked to have it fixed, but they wanted to put me with the gal who originally messed it up in the first place. I did not feel comfortable with that, so I ended up cancelling my future appointment. I have had the owner do my hair in the past and he does wondrous things with hair! I hope that he can pass on his wisdom and skill set to his new employee.

I went to Salon Seven a handful of times and I love that they are locally owned. The stylist(from checking their website, she’s no longer listed as working there) who cut and colored my hair was personable and did a great job. The color was perfection. In fact, everyone from beginning to end seemed pleasant. Their hours are what has me prevented me from going back anymore. It was so hard to schedule an appointment due to the hours I work. They are open Tuesday — Saturday 9am-5pm almost exactly the hours I work. Though, their site says that they will schedule outside of working hours, it was never mentioned to me on the phone while I tried to get an appointment that fit my schedule. At the time I must not have noticed it or I would have mentioned it to them. Trying to get in on the weekend was next to impossible unless you’re one of those«together» people who has their life wonderfully organized and planned out for months. I wish I could say I was one of those people but I’m pretty much a train wreck. I can’t dock Salon Seven for not accommodating MY lifestyle BUT in order to get a weekend appointment I would have to schedule 3 – 4 weeks out. In addition, sitting in a salon for two hours of my weekend getting my hair colored is not something I’m willing to do with my limited free time. I feel a bit passionate about this because I really wanted to continue with the stylist who was doing my hair.. .. . she was great. But due to the limited hours, I could not make it happen. My quest continues to find a stylist to stick with.. .. .(dramatic sigh)

It took me forever to find a place in this town that could cut hair! The art of a razor seems to be gone, they don’t teach it in schools like they used to! So if you want texture, its hard to come by. I have Ria do my hair, but I think the owners(men) are great too. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can have wine while you have your hair done. I love this kind of place where everything seems comfortable and casual. very good customer service and fun people. They have great hair color products and let you help with the styling of your hair if you like. I have super short hair, so if I think their good, believe me, they are! I picked 4 out of 5 starts because I think its pricey… but, when you can’t find anyone else who comes close, you pay up!
