The pasta was okay. The service was good but we weren’t blown away by the food.

Great atmosphere, great staff, really cool menu. I got to try 4 of the pasta dishes all were really good. The sauce was really sweet and there was a little too much of it vs the portion of pasta. I would go back.

Everytime we go here, it’s stellar. Complex flavors, varying degrees of spicy, and a killer Rockabilly waitress. Plus, there’s a Sailor Jerry sign in the ladies room. Tell everyone you know!

This place is nice, but the theme is over-rated and misleading in a sense. When you hear of a Rasta place, you expect to see some actual Caribbean items on the menu. Granted, the menu titles were all Caribbean names, however, this is truly Italian food. The ambiance is awesome and it gives you that Bob Marley feel, but the food was subpar. The name should be Rasta and Pasta.

My husband and I recently did a road trip of west Texas, Colorado and New Mexico and this was my favorite place we ate. I was expecting it to be good but holy cow not as good as it really was! The staff is very friendly, the restaurant has a great vibe, really chill when we were there and you can smell the goodness as you are walking up to the place! Tip: make sure you get the bread with curry dipping sauce. No joke: life changing! I wish I had the recipe because I would eat it weekly! Also try the dishes with pineapple in them! Pineapple and pasta together are fantastic! And the drinks. Rude Boys are the way to go. They let you order lunch sizes at dinner and we had so much left that we took it back to our hotel and had our leftovers the next night for dinner! Definitely an amazing place and I can’t wait for our next trip to Colorado Springs!

While perusing the menu online, I could hardly wait to try this place! I was especially excited to see them offer to make anything vegan since I have a dairy allergy. It is rare to find vegan pasta dishes in a restaurant. I had the rasta pasta(which was served with a very buttery piece of garlic bread — errr NOT vegan), my friend had the tortellini and I can’t remember what my other friend had but none of us liked our food. It was drowning in sauce and lacked in flavor. Mine was supposed to be spicy but ketchup is spicier. Since no one ever asked us about the food we didn’t get a chance to express our opinions but will express them by not returning! Why 2 stars? The passion fruit iced tea is delicious and the place very clean. But I’d skip it if you like flavorful food.

Went for dinner on a Friday night with a group of friends. We had a little trouble finding a parking spot, but after we parked and went inside we had a great experience! It busy, but not packed. I ordered a Rum Rita(super strong!!) it was delicious, & only $ 4 on Happy Hour! I got the Chicken Montejo Bay pasta — so flavorful — white sauce with pineapples! Dinner portions are huge, so I’ll consider splitting a meal nex time. 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 dinners and a Bananas Marley ice cream cost under $ 50! Yumm! 5 Stars!

All I can say is wow! We saw this place on Triple D on Food Network and had to try it. The rasta pasta dish is as advertised, unique with a deep flavor profile. My wife had the dreadlock ravioli with jerk chicken and the combination of jerk chicken and cheese ravioli was very creative and the raviolis didn’t get lost in the jerk seasoning. The rum specials are fantastic and the bananas Marley desert was heavenly. The reggae vibe made me want to stay and just hang out. This is now in our regular rotation in the springs, what a nice surprise. Suggestion to Rasta Pasta: offer a rum drink sampler so its easy to find a rum drink you like, our server was super nice but didn’t know much about the rum drinks.

From outside the restaurant it looks like you’re in Italy, but when you walk in you’re in JAMAICA mon! Bob Marley everywhere. I definitely love the scene of this place. We ordered the seafood marinara and sundria — yummy yummy in our tummy with a side of garlic bread. Definitely worth trying. good portions too. the small is enough for two people. Service is ok… could have been better.

Well, when Guy Fieri checks out a place, so do I! And, Rasta Pasta did not disappoint. This eclectic, Jamaican/Italian joint is a cool mix of jerk spice and pineapple infused into traditional Italian delights. We chose the«The Natural Mystic» and added the first level of heat(Feel the Heat) since this was our first visit. This jerk chicken curry dish is awesome and we will even go up a level on the heat next time round. I was also dying to try something with the Veghetti-Spaghetti(a mix of carrot, squash and zucchini ribbons that substitute for the pasta) and I chose the Chicken Montego Bay with white wine alfredo sauce to create a low carb wonder. Both dishes were ordered lunch portion and were more than enough food for anytime of the day. They also included a side of garlic toast. The quirky interior, good food and fun service adds Rasta Pasta to our list of Colorado Springs go-to(s).

The only reason I decided to try this place is because the restaurant is going to be featured on Guy Fieri show«diners drive-ins and dives.» When cooked properly pasta needs to be al dente«to the tooth», meaning the pasta has to have a certain consistency, it has to be firm to the bite. Our pasta was a mush, italians call that pasta scotta, over cooked. My wife had the seafood alfredo which lacked flavor, it was insipid. I had the chicken montego bay, I was not impressed with the attempt of fusion cuisine.

Nestled among a plethora of independent stores and restaurants, Rasta Pasta is aptly located on a section of the ever-eclectic Tejon St. The restaurant is Jamaican themed with an Italian fusion(hence the pasta element). The restaurant is consistent with the Jamacian/Bob Marley theme, with red, yellow, and green colors throughout and Jamacian accents. The menu offers items as appetizers like salad and garlic bread with three different sauces: a marinara, a rose, and a curry sauce. We opted for garlic bread appetizer as we chose to forgo breakfast and by mid afternoon we were hungry! The garlic bread was nice and light in texture and had good flavor. The marinara sauce that accompanied the bread was rich tomatoe-y tasting and appeared fresh. The entrees are a bunch of different pastas with ingredients for every taste. You can sub whole grain or gluten free penne in any entrée as well as vegetable noodles(called«vegetti») here. I had the Chicken Montego Bay and subbed the pasta for«vegetti». The«vegetti» was a combination of zucchini and carrot spirals, with the zucchini being softer than then carrots but still enjoyable. I really enjoyed my pasta and the sauce wasn’t overly heavy. Our server was attentive and helpful and we didn’t feel as though we were forgotten about despite it being busy and her working the outdoor and indoor areas of the restaurant. I heard that the dessert offerings are mighty good but I will have to try them at a later time. I enjoyed the atmosphere and laid back vibe here. I had a great time catching up with friends on the front patio adjacent to the street and soaking up the Colorado sun.

I hoped that this place would not disappoint & it did not. My Seafood Alfredo had a lot of yummy flavor & that’s a lot coming from me concerning Italian food since I’m not a big fan. I will be back!

Just remember to sandwich it with them bloody banana Marleys man! Bob would of been very happy… The service, the ambiance, and the décor worked harmoniously to create the perfect atmosphere.
