This place has consistency! They severe food that is fresh and delicious. The salads are my go too and they give you alot of food. As they should because it is quite pricy 2 large salads with chicken and alvarado is going to run you around 28 $ but is worth it on occation. Because they give you a meal that makes you feel good! The atmosphere is nice with quite places to take a date and they also have a outdoor area out back that us nice. I recommend this place. At the very least give it a try and let me know what you think. P. S. New to Unilocal and trying to make some foodie friends… So friend me I am friendly and love food.

Poor Richards isn’t just a pizza joint with great pies… there’s a wine bar/coffee shop attached to Poor Richard’s book store(a huge selection of books and a cozy atmosphere) and the toy store. I spend hours there whenever I happen to be tooling around downtown. Read, play, gnosh, sip a cup of coffee… what more could anyone want?

It’s a place that has been here for ever, the reason is good food, good service, great prices. Along with a book and toy store. They have a a great vegetarian lasagna. I’ve never met the owner but I know of him, due being so involved in helping our city become what it is today.

One of my all-time favorite places in Colorado Springs. A great place to meet friends for dinner, hunker down and work for a few hours, peruse the gifts, and find a great new read. One of Colorado Springs’s best gems!

EVERYTHINGISDELICIOUS! I have tried many of their options, and EVERYTHING has been fantastic! I love sitting on the back patio when it’s nice out. Not only is there fantastic outdoor seating and spectacular food, Poor Richard’s composts and recycles. Enjoyable atmosphere, food, AND environmentally friendly? Total win. You can purchase their salad dressing to take home and it has been a staple in my house since the discovery several years ago!

Really cute place. You could probably spend a whole day enjoying the patio, the food, the shopping and the cool laid back atmosphere. Especially in the summer months. My kids enjoy playing there while I read a book and have a drink. I do recommend for a chill afternoon if you have nothing specific to do.

Pizza is over rated but their vegetarian entrees and soups are ah-mazing! The mushroom Swiss sandwich and Reuben was good. You can even swap the side for fresh vegetables too. Interesting photos framed on the wall.

This is a very casual place serving good NY style pizza. The crust is thin and crisp and not too much cheese, although I wouldn’t mind a tiny bit more sauce. They also have lots of toppings to add to your slice. Some very standard and some very unique(avocado!). The house salad is really good with a variety of veggies, homemade dressing and a little feta. There is a also build your own salads, sandwiches, veggie burgers, soups and some yummy looking homemade cookies. The meal deals are a nice value, for the price. Kind of worth it, since 1 slice with a few toppings is just shy of $ 7. It’s a great place to stop in for a slice on your own or to meet a friend. The patio will be great come summer. Service can be a little slow. I’ve waited well over 15 minutes for a slice to-go. So, maybe call ahead or throw an extra quarter in the meter…

This was my favorite food in CS. It took a while to come out, but I really liked it. Somebody in a nearby shop mentioned that Poor Richard’s has amazing salad dressing so I gave it a shot. I typically don’t like condiments, but will become slightly obsessed if I like one and I’ll put it on everything. I went with a single slice, which is probably about the same size as two slices of large pizza and comes with whatever toppings you’d like. The crust was the perfect amount of crispy… and I ended up putting the salad dressing on the pizza which was a great combo. The side salad wasn’t the typical iceberg lettuce junk; It had garbanzo beans, green beans, cheese, etc… mmmm. I sat at the bar facing the street watching all of the Christmas shoppers. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere. Overall, I’d recommend this as a cozy little stop with nice staff and yummy foods at a low price.

Great New York style Pizza. Richard is a great Community supporter. Plenty of healthy menu offerings. There are tapas on the menu as well. Rico’s offers a great cup of coffee, too.

This has been one of my favorite haunts for the last 6 years. Everything is consistently good. Sometimes you’ll see Richard — the owner — waiting tables and walking around in an apron. This is the best adult and family-friendly place in town. I always recommend it.

Incredible Pizza!!! I love that avocado is a topping option because it really makes me happy. Nice chewy, crispy crust and great sauce! You can order a single slice anytime, which is fantastic as the slices are large. Patio seating is great! Ooh, and lest I forget the Belgian sipping chocolate… amazing!

First time here and loved it! It’s an all in one spot with the bookstore, restaurant and coffee shop. My husband and I had a whole wheat crust pizza with chicken and ham. Delicious! And it was only 15.95! I will definitely be stopping by whenever I’m in springs.

Poor Richards is great for relaxing, studying, finding a last minute gift, having a quick snack, or hanging out when they have live music. This time I stopped by for a matte latte and a cup of soup(both of which were very satisfying) only to discover that they now have a soup/stew bar – ingenious – I will be back. My only complaint is that they need to bring back the cheese plate that they used to offer. My friends and I very much miss that.

This place is awesome because there is a play area for my kids so I can go check out the toy store. With several different lounging areas you will find a place that suits your mood. This just misses 5 stars because the pizza, while good, is too expensive!

Fantastic pizza, and overall awesome ambiance! I came here on a whim while I was on a road trip back to NM over Memorial Day weekend. I was looking for some high quality sandwiches and locally made food to eat on the road so that I didn’t have to eat any yucky fastfood, and this was just the right place. I love how they can customize just a single slice of pizza, so I got a chicken, pesto, garlic slice meal which accompanied a fantastic salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese, olives, and a creamy vinaigrette. The pizza was superb and on point. It wasn’t to greasy, and was a very generous, but decent sized portion that didn’t keep you hungry or make you to full.
