Finally!!! A real coffee house experience and bonus that they have wine haven’t tried that yet but def will considering this is like the first and only place since moving here that has android/apple pay and squarealso they have empanadas Ilove it! It was also super convenient to the bike shop I went to literally next door. The atmosphere is more what I’m accustomed to in LA, chill, inviting, modern but kind of industrial, no annoying tweens/bieber look alikes(read not douchey) and busy rather than weird empty. So basically a normal café, not chain coffee place.

Not a bad ambiance or setup, there’s lots of room to sit. I was, however, disappointed in the quality and the barista. I asked for their recommendations and what was good here and they just stared at me. Very average overall and need better service.

I don’t know what it is about this place but I am always a little disappointed. Sometimes it takes too long for a drink. Or paying $ 2.40 for a «large» iced tea that is a small anyplace else in town. Or the room is hot and stuffy. I’ve just never had a great experience here.

This *would* be a great coffee shop. Great atmosphere, lots of art for purchase, quiet. However, every time my husband and I go, there is only one person working behind the counter. It takes FOREVER to get a coffee. And if we also want food? Forget about it… we’d be there all day. Plenty of people walk in and turn around when they see the line, presumably knowing that the wait times(even with just one person in front of you) could be very long. If this coffee shop would hire more than one clerk, they could double their profits AND please their customers. This is where the arguments for only supporting«mom & pop» coffee shops fall flat. Service can be abysmally slow. I actually feel sorry for these clerks too — I don’t know how much they make per hour, but whatever it is, it’s not enough. The job is too much for one person. I’m writing this from a Starbucks down the street, where I was served quickly at a comparable price. We came here after leaving the stationary line at Pikes Perk. I’m in a chair and not one of those comfy couches at Pikes Perk, but at least I have my coffee!

You know you’re a native when this is a regular meet up spot. I’ve spent countless hours at this location since the Denny’s off of Flintridge and Academy died… I enjoy this way more, because you usually get to sit on a couch. The coffee can either be a hit or miss, but the tea is always on point. They have dairy free alternatives, which I greatly appreciate. For my 4 stars: All I have to say, is don’t come hungry and expecting table service. The selling of local jewelry is tacky, but really, as a local artist I appreciate it beyond measure that they are always willing to hang up fliers for my band and any shows we have without question. They support local, and that is where they thrive. The Colorado Springs natives have the back of Pikes Perk, whether you go to pick up a quick«pick me up», or to meet a friend to have a drink and a muffin… This is my favorite place to go in the springs. If you want burnt coffee or a coffee flavored milkshake served to you by someone who is often quite callow, go to Starbucks… But if you want a more friendly and relaxed environment while sitting on some couches with free wifi… Go here.

Popped in for a quick coffee but had to leave after standing around the counter waiting for the barrista to help a guy in front of me with just a cup of coffee. Not sure what her problem was but she seemed befuddled and upset over the process of payment or something. She never acknowledge me and disappeared totally for a couple minutes before I gave up. There was a guy sleeping on a couch and maybe two tables with people so that gives another clue about this place.

Just so-so. Coffee was only luke warm and just ok. Too many coffee shops out there to come back again.

For a place that is supposed to be a morning place, where you can get a cup of coffee and a smile, this place gives neither. The girl at the register was not only rude to me but to the people before and after me. It was like she believe she was doing us a favor by giving us shitty coffee. Shitty coffee is what it was as well. If i could have given zero stars I would have. Thankfully there are other coffee places near by.

Walking in, my first thought was that Pikes Perk was everything that a coffee shop should be – cosy, quiet, and with plenty of squashy couches to lounge in. With that said, my disappointment was, unfortunately, rooted in the coffee. I wasn’t impressed. Soundly disappointed would be more accurate. I ordered the café au lait and flavor-wise the coffee was very weak(I would have guessed it was a blonde roast rather than a dark roast). My friend ordered the hot chocolate and he was prettty disappointed with his drink as well. The chocolate taste was weak and not nearly as good as a packet of Swiss Miss.

This coffee shop is my favorite when I’m in Colorado Springs. It’s a cute local place with abundant seating, good coffee, tasty pastries, and fast wifi. I always get an Iced Caramel Mountain and a blueberry muffin… so good. There’s plenty of parking, and they keep it at a great temperature even when it’s cold outside. — My only complaint is not at all related to the business… it’s about my fellow patrons. There are 3 groups of couches each around a coffee table, plus probably 20 tables. Now people. Go with me here. If there are 3 groups of couches, and someone is seating at 1, you should think to yourself, «Is what I’m doing congruent with that this person who is ALREADY sitting there doing?» For example: if someone is sitting in 1 group, and there are two other couch groups available, is it appropriate to sit right next to them and make out? I’m going to go with PROBABLYNO. Probably making out is not okay in public in a small space when there are other small spaces available. If someone is working at a couch area, and there are two other couch areas available, is it appropriate to bring your 4 toddlers right next the person working? Again… PROBABLYNO. Probably it’d be a good idea to chose one of the other exactly identical couch groups. Okay, so let’s all agree. When picking a couch area, think to yourself: «Is there an identical couch area that I can choose for my making out and/or toddler play??»

Came in for a meeting and decided to have a hot tea. I asked for an Organic, NON-GMO tea and Dillon made a suggestion so I hot it. I am just waiting for it to come down to drinking temp.

This place was just ok. The coffee was decent. However, the worst part of this place is that it feels dirty. As soon as I walked in I could see the barista microwaving food in the back. Everything is really dark and outdated. I would go back just for coffee if I was in the area but I would never go here for microwaved food or to sit and hang out for a while.

Stood in line for ten minutes with no one to take my order. I finally just left without ordering. Terrible service.

It is just«ok.» Won’t blow you away by any means. I’m a black coffee guy, and I thought their drinks were mediocre – not to mention overpriced. Live music is a nice touch, but the overall atmosphere just seems a bit forced. I might come again, but if I had the choice, I would go elsewhere.

This is my absolute favorite place to sit down, have some coffee, and talk with friends. The environment is perfect, very calm, and quite peaceful. The only downside is that there is usually only one person working there, so the service, while very friendly, is not fast. I wouldn’t recommend coming here before work to get a quick cup of joe, but it’s great if you want to actually take your time, hang out, and maybe even read a book. It’s very easy to just sit and enjoy your drink. Their prices usually beat Starbucks and the coffee is typically much higher quality than you’re going to find at a drive-thru.

Good not great. A local fixture, I kind of expect better. For one, they under-staff. I’m sorry, but having one person working a full-service café is silly. The poor barista can barely keep up if there’s more than one person here.(Not her fault… I feel for her.) Coffee’s good, food is good, service(when you finally get it) is great. So all in all, it’s a good place to get coffee and a piece of pie, if that’s your thing. However, what kept me from giving 4 stars is the wifi. Now, I know, we’re getting spoiled by free wifi at coffee shops. But the internet access experience here is abysmal, IMHO. Next to impossible to connect, and if you’re lucky enough to, it’s painfully slow. Just awful. Offer no internet and own that. Or, charge for internet and make it awesome. But half-assed internet? Frustrating. If I had hair, I’d pull it out. I won’t be coming back any time soon, but I encourage you to check it out if you haven’t yet. Especially if you’re just grabbing coffee with a friend.

It’s okay. Coffee is mediocre, customer service is on par with quality of coffee, and prices are high for coffee. Take for example their Americano, $ 2.40 for a small with a single espresso shot. Additional shots are a $ 1 each. You are better off going to Whole Foods for their coffee; better quality of espresso blend, better customer service, and better price. $ 2.25 for a small with 3 shots of espresso.

Stopped for the first and last time. Ordered a medium cappuccino and as soon as I picked it up I knew it was«light.» When I went to the counter to ask, she told me that all«cappuccinos» are half foam! Bye bye pikes peak coffee shop, I’ll go spend my money on coffee. … The flavor was very good so it’s really to bad that the customer service ruined my first impression.

This place has withstood the test of time. I love this place. Ever since I was in Middle School, this place has served great coffee from the get. Every time I go over to this place, I’m given a smile and great coffee. I got their breakfast, awesome. I had lunch there once, legit. I like how there are couches to lounge around with friends, or there are tables outside for a more intimate setting. Pikes Perk is much better than Starbucks.

I like this coffee house. Roomy, comfy and with good coffee. Free wifi is good too. Now if there were only some young girls to hit on, but alas, they don’t really drink coffee. Now they don’t serve you coffee in a thong bikini like Bikini Xpresso does, but at least it’s child friendly here.
