Paloma Salon & Micro Spa

Today this was second time at Paloma. Both times Sasha has done my hair and both times it looked great. She’s super nice and it shows how much she loves what she does. The salon is very nice and welcoming.
I love the way they all interact together in the salon. It doesn’t have an uptight feel. Both times I’ve gotten a good laugh listening to and talking to Bruce. He’s a hoot.
I will be back.

You know that feeling when you get after an amazing hair cut? The one where you stop at every window to admire yourself even though you know there are people on the other side of that window who think you are totally insane? The same feeling that leaves you smiling all day because not only do you look and feel good but, strangers are giving you compliments? That’s the feeling you get at Paloma after a visit with Bruce. He’s been doing my hair for a year now and every single haircut leaves me feeling refreshed, relaxed and super giddy. The salon itself has great energy and ambiance, it’s easy going and unpretentious. Plus-it’s a great way to support Downtown Colorado Springs and that is always a good thing!

I feel like Janette, the new nail tech at Paloma, is the best in the city! No seriously! I’ve been to so many salons in the past 10 years & have seen so much carelessness when it comes to sanitation!
Janette is meticulous about cleanliness!
And I love how she is so good about staying current with her continuing education! Whether she is doing a pedicure or manicure, she takes her time & is refreshingly thorough! :)

I have been getting my hair done at Paloma for almost 4 years now. The staff are friendly and funny and very knowledgable about hair.
Hanna has cut my hair for 3 years and i will not let anyone else touch my hair. She has global knowledge of hair styles and after taking a look at you knows what will go best with your face. She is also very hair-​health conscious.
I would recommend Hannah to anyone looking to get a fantastic cut, color, style, whatever you are looking for.
Regarding the complaints about time – this salon is not a butchershop – they take time to make sure you walk out looking perfect. full head massage, wash, cut, style. no skipping corners or wishing they had done a better job of…

I absolutely love this place. This past Friday I had the pleasure of getting my haircut by Bruce. He really took the time to make me feel pampered. The haircut started with a scalp massage with essential oils for my hair followed by a shampoo and conditioning with Paul Mitchell products a brand I love and trust. Bruce used techniques I had never seen any other stylist use to thin and texture my hair. I have thick Hispanic hair so thinning out is a must for me. Moving here from Texas I had some trouble finding a new stylist needless to say that I have found my new stylist while my husband is station here in Colorado Springs. They also gave me military discount with my dependent ID which I was thrilled about :)!! Over all great atmosphere, professional staff and wonderful service.

I love Jackie Montoya, best stylist I have EVER had.
The environment is casual, the décor is lovely. I haven’t used their spa services– but Jackie saved me from a stylist that was intimidated by how curly my hair was. What could have been a disaster– was fixed by Jackie and I have been seeing him since 2005. I recommend Bruce if Jackie isn’t there.
Prices are high– so be prepared.

Lauren at Paloma Salon does a great job! I get gel manicures by Lauren and she is great! Also very time efficient! Lauren is so personable and sweet. I had a broken a nail the night before my nail apt (of course right?!?), and I was so worried she wouldn’t be able to do them. not only was it no problem for her, she also made them look fantastic! (even the short broken one).

The salon is very comfortable and inviting. Corrina, a Paloma hairdresser, is fantastic. She’s efficient and extremely good at her work. I won’t let anyone else mess with my hair and I’m not a high-​maintenanced girl. I love the location as well. Its right downtown; so you can grab a bite to eat or go shopping before or after your appt. I always have a great time!

So it didn’t start off that great! I had a 12:30 appt but Hannah was running late so I sat idle for 20+ minutes. I was aggravated & told the owner they could have called. She told me that a client was late. I told her that is why she should have called me, I have a business to run too! Not to mention that the salon is downtown and you have to park at a meter! Also it is a pretty laid back, casual place. They are in no hurry. I was there nearly 4 hours! I went in on a Groupon deal that included haircut, partial highlight, and deep Kerotin conditioning treatment. My hair was a mess, very damaged, bad cut and in need if highlights. Hannah took time with me to understand what I wanted. We ended up doing a color and highlights. So all that took extra time… but 4 hours? It’s a major detriment that this salon is downtown with meter parking but I am so happy with my hair I already made my next appt. I’ll just have my hubby drop me off!

I wasn’t too sure how to review this place at first because, as others have noted, the staff appearance and demeanor definitely errs on the informal side, to the point where I was at first concerned for the eventual quality of my haircut. There’s a fine line between friendly and inappropriately casual and the owner of this salon needs to set that boundary and enforce it. When I went there were only two people working and the salon was empty of customers except for myself, which also made me nervous.
However, as far as the service… I received a lovely conditioning keratin treatment with a relaxing scalp massage and then one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had from Hannah, which is why I gave this place four stars, because that’s what matters in the end as far as I’m concerned. It even looked so good the next day I basically just shook out the bed-​head and went on my merry way (I have longish, layered hair.)
They need to fine-​tune their image. They can cut hair, though.

I got a good manicure and pedicure, not a GREAT manicure and pedicure. My technician was very nice and knowledgeable. Their polish selection was weak and it took 3 hours! (I didn’t mind because I was not on a schedule but come on) There seemed to be a disconnect between the two nail girls because as I was completing my pedicure the other girl swooped in to BEGIN a manicure so instead of having the other customer wait 5 minutes I had to wait 55 minutes! Unprofessional and not customer focused… glad I went on a groupon.
