Eden Salon & Barbershop

I love this place, the atmosphere was great and everyone makes you feel at home. Employees are very courteous and Alicia works wonders with facial cleansing. I would and will recommend this to all my friends.

Jenna is awesome. She took the time to find out exactly what I wanted. She cut and colored my hair and did a fantastic job. She made sure I loved it before I left. I definitely will be back. She is my new favorite stylist. I’m so glad I found her. I have curly hair and some stylists don’t know how to cut it. She does. I highly recommend Jenna and Eden Salon.

Jess Nordstrom is patient understanding and really goes out of her way to give you what you want! It took 3 hairdressers messing up my hair to find Jess. & I am so happy with it now! I definitely recommend her :)

Just an update to my previous one:
Katelyn is no longer with Eden Salon.
As far as the salon itself goes, I was last here last on Monday. it’s a cute place and well-​maintained. The only thing I would note is that it is downtown and parking can be difficult. The street parking is all metered (cash or card), and there is a 2-​hour limit. I was ticked 8 minutes after expiration once, so be careful.
They do have a coffee shop here, too. I’ve never gotten coffee so I can’t attest to it, but it could save you time. I would call ahead though as last time I was here on a Monday it wasn’t open.

Jenna Bowden is a good friend of mine and she is also the best hairstylist I have ever had. I consistently change my hair color and cut and she always provides exactly what I came in wanting! She is always going to classes, seminars, etc. to get further education and certifications. I love that she is certified in several techniques including hair extensions and Brazillion Blowouts. She is even teaching others now and teaches classes in our area. I wish I could have her move every time we did!

I had an amazing experience today, with Marcus! I originally had a barber I was using at Paul Mitchell school, and when I called they became very weird and told me that he was «unavailable» but would not tell me why. The woman on the phone was whispering into the phone, and telling me some very strange conspiratorial things… So I was so concerned about the whole thing, I decided to find a new stylist. I walk by Eden regularly when I am down town, and have wanted to stop in for some time now, but didn’t have a reason to. So I called and scheduled with them, and they set me up with Marcus. Turns out, we have both seen each other riding the bus, multiple times. He told me he loved my haircut and really wanted to give me a cut, but didn’t want to just approach me and ask, cause that would seem weird. He was amazing, he did my hair perfectly, as I am a female with a versatile men’s and pixie cut, sometimes it is a little hard to get a stylist to understand how to do my hair right… But he just knew exactly what to do, and needed barely any instruction! He even detailed around my ears and hairline, and my neck, really well. It is the best cut I have had so far, with this style. I will definitely be returning there, and Marcus is my new permanent stylist! I highly recommend him for men’s and pixie cuts!

I’ve getting my hair done by Marcus since February and I can’t imagine having to find another stylist. The salon is clean and inviting, Marcus is a gem. Not only is he extremely friendly and easy to talk to, I’ve also never been complimented on my hair as often since seeing him. He does exactly what I ask for while taking into consideration my thinning hair and bleached ends. He always makes it look healthier and modern. No more frumpy mom hair for me.

Ever since I moved to Colorado, finding a stylist has been a nightmare. I used to be able to get full highlights, a cut, and style in 2 hours. The first time I made an appointment with Alyssa, she wasn’t even at the salon. They called her and she said she wrote the date down wrong and would come in anyway. It was almost an hour after my appointment time, but all I got was a single process color and a cut, which turned out well. The second time, she started my appointment about 15 minutes late. I wanted to go from all over medium brown to mostly blonde and ended up being there for almost 5 hours. It’s never taken more than 3 hours for me to go from brown to blonde at my old salon! After reading that she has also not shown up for another client on Unilocal,I won’t book with her again. There are a couple other stylists here who have amazing photos on Instagram and I would consider booking with them.

I made an appointment with Alyssa and showed up prior to my appointment time. I guess she no showed, so they set me up with Marcus.
I only wanted a trim on an asymmetrical cut. He was polite and friendly and cut my hair great. Only took about ½″ off. Shampooed/​dried and styled (although it wasn’t needed)
I went to pay and they told me $ 50?! For just the cut. Online had stated cuts were $ 20. So I was baffled. I cant even name somewhere that just a hair trim is $ 50. I told this to him about the online prices being $ 20 and was told each stylist sets their own prices? That should be listed here or online. as I was in complete shock with $ 50… He ended up giving me a discount, but sadly I don’t think ill go back because of such a jump in prices.

I’ve had two haircuts here. The first was just ok, definitely had better. The second may have been the worst haircut I’ve ever received. Had to get it fixed at a different barbershop. I made an appointment online and the female I booked was a no show. I’m sure they do women’s hair just fine but men should skip this place.

REQUEST KATELYN WILLIAMS !!! You will be so happy you did. I found my new hair salon thanks to her. She is awesome and creative with her color. She did a balyage ombré and we did a peekaboo violet chunk as well. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair and that never happens to me. I felt like I’d known her for years because she was super nice and talkative in a good way. She really listened to the direction I wanted to take my hair and she delivered as best as she could considering I had really old color on the ends of my long hair. I’m really happy and excited to see my hair after my next scheduled appt. Thanks for the awesome hair!

Katelyn is no longer with Eden because she opened up her own kickass salon called House of Color out on Garden of the Gods rd.

Needed an emergency haircut. Made an appointment online, with Julie who had pretty good reviews. She was not there, and there was no one else available. What’s more, she was not answering her phone. What a frustrating waste of time! I would not recommend this salon to anyone who does not have lots of time to waste.

Come see Kelly! Excellent consultations and creative cuts and color. You will not be disappointed!

If you’re looking for a great deal on a top notch stylist, go to Katelyn at Eden Salon! Especially if you want fun colors. She has only been here for a short time but has a big following! And rightfully so. She’s sweet, funny, honest, and listens to what you want and works her magical hands on your hair. If seeing her work on Instagram doesn’t sell you, then take the «risk» and visit her yourself! You won’t be disappointed! I’ve found my go to stylist, she could be yours as well!
As for the salon itself, love the location. It’s very clean inside, beautiful architecture, trendy, great location, everyone was very nice. Walking inside, you’d think everyone would be pretentious or snobby — absolutely not the case here. There is street parking with meters, you can use quarters or dimes, or even your credit card. Two hours is the maximum time, so after it runs out, you can add time in (I believe) 15 minute increments. I love this place, mostly due to Katelyn’s beautiful handwork on my hair, but I’d definitely recommend this salon to anyone.

Jenna Bowden is a great stylist, and she knows more about hair color than anyone I know. Her hair color has lasted longer and looked better than any other professional color I’ve had. She really is an expert when it comes to hair color. I always get lots of compliments on my haircuts from Jenna, and it always grows out spectacular, which we all know is the true sign of a great stylist. She’s easy to book appointments with, shows me how to style my hair with my morning routine, and makes product suggestions that are good for my hair. I have very fine hair that Jenna Bowden is great with.

Very nice atmosphere, and Annette was very friendly and helpful. Visiting the Springs, I found Eden Salon and Barbershop on Unilocal,and once again, was not disappointed in the service provided. I was able to walk in on a Saturday morning with no wait. I am partial to the true «Barbershop» experience (barber’s license, trained with the straight-​razor), and this is not that. However, for a «vacation haircut», this place worked out just fine, and I had an enjoyable experience.

I began frequenting this place about 6 years ago when Holly, my Toni & Guy stylist, left to open this place on her own. Luckily it is right in my neighborhood. They accept walk-​ins and appointments.
The staff here is great and the customer service is excellent. Sarah is great.

Cute shop, friendly relaxed atmosphere. I was surprised when I came in to find the person I’d made my appointment with leaving to pick-​up a child at school and I was being «moved over» to another stylist: «is that okay?» I was already there, had driven 30+ minutes in pouring rain; so yeah, I guess it was okay.
My stylist was very nice, down-​to-​earth. The cut was ok, color ok. Price for cut/​color was reasonable, but color however has faded after one week. I’ll be calling to see about that. So 3 stars for now.

Went back, and decided i needed a drastic change.
We did a combination of espresso and eggplant– I said «I want it to be purple, but not so purple that it looks silly, or that i can’t get a legit job interview»
he picked the color combo. he also shagged out my cut (i said make it «messier” — he designed an awesome cut)
mmmm new hair is so good, and so very very me.
after we were done, another one of the stylists showed me how to back comb my hair in an amy winehouse esq beehive, which is something i mentioned i’ve always wanted to do. No charge, she just thought it would be fun to do for me.
ah. i love this place.

Justin is the best. I have seen a lot of great stylists, but I’ve never had a stylist as awesome as he. Having an at-​home dye disaster prompted me to see Justin at Eden Salon. GO SEE JUSTIN! He is AMAZING.
I have naturally dark brown/​black hair. After about 2 years of using black permanent boxed dye, I thought that I would try using a dark brown dye for a change. Oddly enough, the color on my undyed roots went weird and I ended up with dark golden brown roots and a horrible demarcation zone on my damn head. The rest of my hair was still jet black. WTF, Garnier? The color on the box was only one shade up from black.
Anyway, Justin never even mentioned my mistake, except in context of what we should do to get the results I wanted. He asked me lots of questions to figure out what end result *I* wanted, which was very much appreciated. He was positive and upbeat, which made me feel tons better about my boxed dye disaster. He mixed the perfect shade for my hair and corrected my wretched mistake. His skills are indeed unicorn-​like, Summer Z.!!
To recap, I’m super-​happy with this salon. Everyone there is professional, and kind, which is kind of rare in some salons. The interior is tasteful and the décor is soothing. I also checked out the work that other clients were having done, and every single stylist at I saw at Eden this morning was spot-​on talented. I HIGHLY recommend Justin.
