O’Briens Carpet One Floor & Home

Having never purchased carpet before, walking into the showroom was pretty overwhelming. It seemed like there was an assumption we’d know what we were supposed to do — the sales team was ok, but clearly on aggressive commission — asking someone else other than our rep to help seemed to be an imposition. But, after 3 trips, helpful consultation by our rep and hours of even more helpful internet research, we were pretty confident in what we needed. The final price was on the higher end of what we had expected, and given the nonstop sales you see for carpet on TV, the best I can say is that we got a reasonably fair deal.
I’m dropping a star from the review because the installation came up short of carpet that we had to wait another week for, after having already waited 3 weeks for the first batch. The installers were very efficient for the size of job and there was absolutely no way they messed up. I was surprised it was that big of a mis from the estimator, and overhearing a conversation, it sounded like the installers have had this happen several other times in recent memory.
All that said, the carpet is installed well, is exactly what we wanted, and looks great. End result is ultimately what matters, though the journey wasn’t entirely what I had in mind.

To begin with, O’Brien’s sales staff, led by Dan’elle, were informative and patient in answering questions. They provided us with all the information needed to make a good choice in carpet. I got the quality I wanted at a fair price. Pedro and Efram (subcontractors) did a good job with the installation. They arrived right on schedule, were quick and efficient with their work, and were happy to explain things when I had questions. Yeah, there was a bit of language problem, but Pedro was patient and we worked through that just fine. I liked the layout of the carpet with no unnecessary seams. All in all, a very professional job.

We had an unfortunate incident with cat urine in one of our bedrooms. We really needed to do something about the bedroom, but unfortunately it matched the rest of the carpet in the house.
I went to O’ Briens Carpet One on Academy with a sample of our current carpet in hopes of finding a close match. Cathie spent a great deal of time showing us options and found us several close matches within our budget. She was patient knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful.
We checked out several other places, but couldn’t find the quality of matches for our existing carpet that O’Briens offered us. Also, none of the other locations were able to match their pricing for the carpet we were looking for.
We ordered the carpet and were able to schedule the installation within 3 weeks.
The installer just left my house and did a fantastic job! The carpet is not an exact match, but is so close you wouldn’t really notice the difference. He blended the seams so well, you can’t tell where the new carpet starts unless you know where to look. The installer was on time, polite, and even vacuumed before he left.
Based on our experience we would recommend O’ Briens Carpet One, off of Academy Blvd., to our friends and family.

Love, Love, Love this location for area rugs! O’Briens Carpet One on Garden of the Gods Rd does not carry area rugs, so you must go to their Academy location, but it’s worth the trip!!!
The quality, choice, and salespersons are superb. I even found one rug that I dearly wanted, was the perfect compliment to another rug I had purchased from O’Briens, but it was too large… however, they were more than willing to cut it down (locally) with a fast turnaround and either serge or bind the edges for me — your option.
I also like that they have pre-​cut & packaged rug pads for purchase.

I was able to purchase some great quality and VERY affordable area rugs here. Lisa was very helpful in explaining the differences in the carpets and helping me to match colors. I would definitely buy from here again!
