5 out of 6 of us in our family go to Mountain View Vision and love the practice. When we get there we are seen promptly, both doctors take time with all patients whether it is an adult or a child. They are both super patient with my kids and have listened to any concern that I have about the kids vision or my own. They have a very good selection, which I wasn’t expecting for such a smaller office. Their selection is frequently updated, as well. The only reason they don’t get a full five stars is that they are super booked and you most likely will not get in quickly. I am talking a few months out, at times. This isn’t a big issue once you start going there, since you make your future annual appointment at your current one. However, if you have to cancel and reschedule, you have to wait one to two months to get back in. That becomes problematic when trying to keep the family on the same schedule to keep track of yearly benefits and such. It also is a bummer when you’re trying to get in as a new patient and you have to wait so long. My husband goes to another eye doctor/office because of that. His eye doctor is available every Saturday which is good for his work hours and he can get in within a week of calling for an appointment.

My kids and I have gone to Mountain View for eye checkups. The two doctors here are Dr. Melissa Tada and Dr. Stacy McMullen and are both really friendly and great with kids. The office uses high-tech equipment and they offer the optomap retinal exam. Unfortunately that isn’t covered by most insurance companies so you’ll have to pay $ 42 and $ 35 for kids if you opt to get it done.(I have had an optomap done by a previous eye doctor and it was included in the eye exam, which of course was paid for by the insurance.) You can also choose a regular dilation instead, which is included and paid for by insurance. They offer a selection of de$igner eyewear and kids eyewear. And yes they are pricy but they seem to be good quality too. The staff was nice enough to adjust my kids glasses too even though we didn’t get it from there. As a tip, just note that appointments need to be made at least a month in advance as they are a busy place. So no walk-ins.

Seeing Dr McMullen for pediatric optometry — fantastic office & doctors. Would highly recommend. One of the few offices in the springs that does visual therapy.

I started struggling with chronic dry eye disease and came across the fairly new treatment of lipiflow offered by this doctor. I have learned a lot in dealing with this condition and am grateful for the treatment and care Dr Tada has provided me with. She is a joy to be around. I know she has other patients but she has a way of making me feel like I am her only one. The front desk is organized, friendly and efficient. She is very perceptive and intelligent. I am now seeing her for my annual eye exams as well.

I hate having to get my eyes checked but Mountain View makes it easy and convenient. The staff is always laughing and smiling which makes for a nice atmosphere. Dr. McMullen is always friendly, professional, and knowledgable. If you are looking for a new eye care home, look no further.

WOW! Dr. Tada has it all. Intelligence, caring, passion and the will to never stop learning. Plus Dr. Tada has a sparkling, endearing personality. I am nearsighted, and have developed dry eyes in last year and half. Dry eyes is one of the most painful conditions I have ever had in my life, not to mention it causes intensely blurry vision. Working together, we conquered it using a Lipiflow Treatment machine. Not many patients have resolution with dry eyes. I also want to give a big shout out to all of Dr Tada’s staff and assistants. A sure sign of a great Doctor, is one who surrounds herself with great staff. Dry eyes is a little understood condition, and there is hardly any medical research on it. Which is odd, because it affects a large percentage of the population. What may explain this, is, the artificial tear market — It’s huge, with revenue close to $ 4 billon dollars annually, and creates users for life! Dry eye sufferers — Ask for the Lipiflow Treatment! It might be the miracle you need. Since you can pretty much throw away those artificial tears and hot compresses.(And I have only had one treatment.)

After being told my daughter needs glasses, I wanted to look for a good facility to ensure my daughter got the best care. The office and the staff are exceptional. The woman at the front desk that I spoke with to make my initial appointment was considerate of my need for an appointment that same week and managed to get us in. The office is very modern, the staff was great, and we weren’t in the waiting room for too long. It was obvious that the doctor is used to working with children, so my daughter was very comfortable with her. I will definitely be going back when the need arises.

I highly recommend this clinic for anyone who has children with special needs! Friendly, competent staff, efficient process and skilled, patient and compassionate doctors. We have two children with Autism who both had exams here a few days ago. My son can be especially defiant at times, if he has to wait too long, if lights are too bright or if things don’t go his way. But the environment was comfortable, low lighting during the exams helped, and Dr. McMullen handled him with ease like it was completely natural to her. She moved so deftly through everything that he didn’t even get a chance to get impatient or unsettled. When she shared the news that to him meant his eyes weren’t «perfect», instead of being upset he decided to be excited that he could have glasses and«be like Dad»! My daughter was the same way with her results. They both went bouncing out to the front to pick out their glasses, which I also thought would be a difficult process but I barely had a chance to take a couple pictures of them trying on a couple different pairs and they were done! Choices were made and they were happy, no negotiating or cajoling needed. Wow!
