Mattress Firm North Academy

Really enjoyed this experience– easy transaction overall. Was just looking for a simple Mattress set for the Guest Bedroom. No high– price sales-​pitch, just the facts and 3 different mattress options that were recommended by the staff. Had a little communication glitch as far as when we could pick it up, but it was handled professionally and I am still a happy customer. Very pleased with the friendly demeanor and professionalism.

A bit pricey, but they were willing to work with us and got us a decent mattresses for a great price.

I am writing this review to let everyone know how wonderful my experience was shopping for a new bed at Mattress Firm. Leandro, an associate at mattress firm, on Academy and Woodman Road was simply the best. He took his time to explain all of the mattress options available to me. I ended up buying two mattress sets and I am very satisfied with my purchases. Thank you Leandro and Mattress Firm for your wonderful customer service and the comfy beds!

I went to Mattress Firm on Academy next to Home Depot and spoke with Cameron. He promised he would beat any price in town. I then shopped around and came back. He quickly honored his promise and gave me a very good deal. Store is clean and neat, Cameron is helpful and friendly and clearly very knowledgeable. Great experience I would shop there again.

Okay let me just start with if you need a bed Leandro is the guy to talk to! My husband and I spent about an hour just trying to figure out which bed was best for us. Leandro helped us find which firmness and size was best, he explained the difference between a king and a California King to us which also helped with our buying experience. Worked with us on pricing and financing and just an overall great experience. First time buying a bed and he made it stress free. I highly suggest going to this store if you are in the market for a new bed, very knowledgeable and friendly!

I have been saving up to get a new queen size bed (never had a bed of this size before) and checked tons of stores and websites to both price out the cost and actually test out the mattresses that caught my interest. A couple of days ago T went to get some items at home depot and saw the mattress firm store… thought ‘what the hell, I haven’t tried their store yet’ and went in. The salesmen Howard was very straight forward about the mattresses that fit my budget and even gave me a great discounts on: the mattress, delivery, and hailing out my old bed set for recycling. He was very patient and upfront with me the entire time. He never tried to push me toward anything out of my price range or towards something I would not need. I ordered my bed at the same visit and worked out a good delivery date for my schedule. I have already recommended him repeatedly to others and I will shop with him again if I ever need a new bed for any reason.

Michael Russo was our outstanding sales associate! This was our first and last stop for shopping for a new mattress due to his knowledge regarding the type of mattress system we were looking for and the amount of time he spent with us and no pressure at all to make a purchase! It is very refreshing to be able to have this type of customer service, we will certainly be telling our friends about Mattress Firm! Keep up the great service Mike!!!

Keison Palafox is a fantastic person. I’ve purchased several mattresses with him when he was with Mattress King, and if he had gone to Denver Mattress, I would have gone to Denver Mattress to buy this last mattress we purchased. That’s how good he is. It’s not Mattress Firm that made this last purchase great, it was Keison. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Trisha. She was equally impressive though we didn’t have as much interaction with her. But when we did, she was spot on. It should be mentioned that these two had great personalities. Easy going, not pushy. Keison was well educated but didn’t force it down our throats. Trisha and Keison are the way most sales reps should be. And I’ll say it again, if Keison goes, so does my business. What is Mattress Firm if not the people anyway. Time to recognize the people that are making companies great — not the companies themselves.
One negative (that’s why only 4 stars). The delivery team. Clearly contractors (and they said as much). That’s not the problem. Part of the deal for us, was that if we were going to spend nearly $ 5000 on a mattress, they had to take two queen sets away. You see, about a year ago, I spent about $ 5000 on an adjustable bed from Mattress King (with Keison) and told him that I might have to bring a queen set by later for them to recycle. Well, we still had that set and needed to get rid of it. He, of course, said, «no problem.» As any good salesperson would do. Keison noted it on the delivery ticket but when the drivers got there, they acknowledged the notation, but felt it necessary to inform me that that isn’t how they deliver mattresses. «Just for your future purchases, it’s always a one-​for-​one delivery and take away.» You’ve come across those guys before. The guys who feel it’s necessary to let you know that they don’t like being told what to do and how to do it with no appreciation that the customer and sales person is what allows for them to work and if I want them to take 3 mattress sets away in order to secure a $ 5000 mattress sale, well, who wouldn’t take that!
You could clearly feel the tension between the Mattress Firm sales team and the contract delivery team. Which, a customer should never see, hear, know about, or otherwise get in the middle of. Very poor service from that perspective.

We were really impressed by Mattress Firm. Ian was fantastic– very patient with us and very knowledgable too. We were so glad that we didn’t feel pressured at all. He helped us check on delivery dates on several models because he knew we were anxious to get it sooner. They have great deals and also a price guarantee. We also thought that the manager Keison was excellent. We received great service. Delivery was fast and on time too. We are very happy with our purchase!
