I really wanted to like this place. i really did. Such friendly owners, but none of our food came out at the same time and everything was just warm, not hot. Everything was also a little dry and bland. The grocery store in the back was interesting and we bought some of the yummy tea. I really want this place to be good… i may give it another try.

The food was excellent and everyone was really nice and polite. I didn’t know I’d like Egyptian food until I ate here. Oh, and it’s worth pointing out that their Egyptian hot tea is probably my new favorite tea.

Recently moved from Cairo to start this incredible restaurant, and they nailed it! Most authentic and delicious Egyptian dishes I’ve found in the U.S., including desserts! Great great service, great prices.

When a restaurant nails the majority of the meal they become memorable and even, dare I say, interesting? When a restaurant nails every. single. aspect. of the meal they put themselves on a certain pedestal. 4 – 6 table [miniature] dining room in front; halal grocery store in back. Can’t say I was expecting a Top 10 quality CoS restaurant given the setting, but that’s where I was happily proven wrong. The owners were welcoming, friendly, and excited to introduce first-timers to authentic Egyptian cuisine. Kufta kabob — rich, but tasty. Chicken Schwarma — slightly better than kufta but not quite as rich. Egyptian rice — just get it; sneaky good. Olive salad with citrus vinaigrette — again very simple and sneaky good. The weird-looking white sauce — a thicker garlic lemon aioli; as the owner calls it — magic. Baklava and rice pudding — better and more interesting than almost any dessert you could get in the springs. Enough talk — just go there.

Saw their great reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Spent a lot of time in the Middle East and absolutely fell in love with the food. This place was amazing. We had a couple falafel sandwiches, a chicken shawerma plate, and an order of seasoned fries as an appetizer. Everything tasted homemade and was absolutely delicious. The owners were very friendly and made us feel at home. The Egyptian hot tea had so many depths to its flavor that all I can say is try it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a very reasonable price.

What a treasure! This place is actually an eatery in an Egyptian grocery store. The people there are very friendly and are happy to explain each menu offering. I had a falafel sandwich, which was quite delicious and filling. Very reasonably priced, too.

Great food & hospitable service. The tea and the coffee are to die for. Will come back and bring friends. Also a wide selection of Middle Eastren groceries and Halal meats. They just opened so some parts of the store ate s work in progresd, I’m looking forward to seeing them grow and becoming a regular.

This place was great. A family from Egypt owns it. It really should be classified as a restaurant, but it doesn’t seem to show up under that in Unilocal.Me and my friend tried 5 different things, and we liked everything we had, especially the(homemade) falafel sandwich which is a bargain. I agree with the reviewer who wrote that it was very clean. Definitely going back.

The simple menu is a tease but beautifully executed. We also received complimentary baklava which was amazing, balanced and well presented. Really hoping this inexpensive, perfect lunch spot thrives and has time to grow. The service was attentive. The grocery unique and fun. I can see this space thriving by using the majority of the space as a restaurant with a smaller grocery section. Anyone offering a halal deli in C. Springs deserves to succeed.

We stopped in for tea and a snack. It was delicious tea was a very exotic flavor. Then we had Kunafeh which is a sweet treat was pistachio and fresh cream. The owner was very courteous and friendly. She gave us a sample of the baklava which was also delicious and homemade. We will definitely be back to try some of the savory food that looks very delicious.
