Heard wonderful things about this place and came for a special occasion. The food and service was just as good as everyone said it would be. The food is not the cheapest, but I think it’s worth the price.

I love Jake and Telly’s! We have been here three times now and we have had consistently outstanding service along with delicious food! The mixed vegetarian appetizer and the spinach salad are my two favorites! They’re so good that it’s hard to order anything else.

I came here for lunch once and was pleasantly surprised at how nice of a place this is and how good the food is. The service was also very good! The food is fresh and delicious. I ordered seafood and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend people go here! I also love that it is in old Colorado city which is one of my favorite places in the springs!

Came here for dinner — was crowded so my expectations were high. Appetizers were good — we ordered the Saganaki, very enjoyable. Entrée, however, was incredibly disappointing: I ordered the gyro, since I assumed a Greek place would do it well, but the meat that came out looked and tasted exactly like 2 McDonald’s hamburger patties. For $ 18, I expect slightly better gyro meat. My friend ordered a lamb platter, and the meat was very gristly. If you come, stick to the appetizers.

Just okay. It seemed like it took longer than would be expected to get our food(30 minutes?) and we were one of two tables in the place(Friday lunchtime). We each ordered a cup of split pea soup and shared a full appetizer plate. That’s it. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately there was another staff member(a woman) who seemed intent on filling our water glasses over and over again — even to the point of reaching across the table for the glasses. I’d tip double if I was given a waiter/hostess who could time that delivery with finesse vs interrupting a deep conversation every time just to satisfy the mechanical impulses that go along with that job(and I can say this because I waited tables once too). The food was okay but the meat was neutral in temperature and not very tasty. Loved the tzatziki on pita but boy was it garlicky! Definitely bring gum or mints with you if you happen to be on a date(there were no mints at the restaurant). Overall, just meh. My dining partner and the soup were the best part of this experience. The ambiance was/is nice but will be twice as nice on the patio in warmer weather or at night(inside with a glass of wine).

Great service, food and atmosphere! A little pricey but you pay more for better quality. I ordered the Chicken Kebabs and it was cooked to perfection. My girlfriend ordered the stuff gyros and those were amazing as well. We rarely eat Greek, however if most Greek places cook as well as this establishment; then we will probably eat Greek more often. Definitely worth a try! Friends & family recommended.

Opa! This place is a blast. The food is excellent and every once in awhile they concoct a reason to give ouzo shots out. We love the flaming cheese appetizer that is presented with a ;lemon to squeeze to extinguish the flames. Not recommended for handicapped people, a long flight of stairs must be negotiated and I do not think they have any sort of elevator, but you might wish to call, they might make provision with a service elevator I am not aware of. Be sure to appreciate the original artwork on the walls – actual murals. The mother-unit had paintings hung there, but she wanted to return to Greece and take the framed paintings with her. Rather than leave bare walls, she painted directly on the walls. As I understand it, she replicated the very paintings that were removed, but directly on the walls. Don’t go here if you are going to be a stick-in-the-mud, the staff wants you to be part of the fun.

Great service. Food was well-prepared fpr the most part. Super yummy. We got the cheese pie and the appetizer plate. More than enough for 2 people. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that my meatball was a shade pink inside. But it is mixed with lamb. Overall very good restaurant, look forward to eating here again next time I’m in Colorado Springs.

really good greek food, but honestly not even the best in town. But they price their selves at the top of the market. it is a nice place to go and enjoy some drinks though.

Phenomenal. When I first moved to Colorado 4 years ago, I was shocked by the overall sub-par service that I received from most restaurants in town. The service at Jake & Telly’s reminds me of home. They are not happy unless you are 110% satisfied with your experience. To the point where our watress brought out 4 tasters of wine without me asking, to ensure that I had a glass of wine that I was thrilled with. The food blew me away, and of those that love fresh seafood, they make calamari the correct way: without breading. I wish that I could give this place 10 stars. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

Girl Friend wanted to get a chicken salad, so we went here before our drive back to Denver. asked for a lunch menu and saw dinner prices. Kind a lot of money to spend at lunch. I ordered one of the salad’s with gyro meat It was very good. Girl ordered same salad but with chicken it was very good. Just very expensive.

Keeps the old time feel of the downtown old Colorado Springs. Located on second floor, this place boasts a mom and pop kind of feel, very comfortable with very hospitable staff. Did not indulge in libations but had a nicely stocked full bar thought it was a little odd that there wasn’t any tv but that should help you enjoy your meal and company all the more. Fresh baked pita with olive oil came out first. The warm fresh bread was heavenly. I ordered a small Greek salad with grilled chicken. The salad itself comes in either small or large($ 8 or 12), adding any protein is an extra $ 5. The size of the salad was generous enough for a single serving. I thought the vinegrette was a little lack luster. Amongst the salad, tomato wedges, cucumber salad, red onion and feta. For the price definitely a let down. Our server was a gentleman’s gentleman. Kept our waters full and had helpful suggestions. There is a private lot in the back, otherwise it’s street parking for you buddy.

My family and I ate here while on a bike tour of Pikes peak. In all honesty, tour lunches are rarely something to write home about, but this place was great. Thanks to preordering our food, our meals arrived within minutes of sitting down. We enjoyed it all wth drinks from the full bar. Most of us had the gyros… Delicious and as authentic as I’ve ever had. If you’re in town and need a bite for lunch… Stop in here. Great place!

I really love the location for Jake and Tells. We were down in OCC and there just so happened to be a car show. We sat on the deck and over looked the show. The hostel was rude when we asked for the deck and sighed heavily at the request. Our server was very friendly, kept our drinks full, no mistakes. The food was unfortunately just missing something in every category. The gyro was cold and missing flavor, my fiancé has the tzaiki appetizer, the sauce was again just not up to par. Service was good once past the gate keeper, food was fast, just felt like everything we ate I had better somewhere else.

Had to entertain some friends over here for official business. Food as well as service was awesome! I will gladly say they went an extra mile to accommodate us and make it comfortable and fun!
This place is certainly on our list if we meet in town again or if I had to find place to entertain guests.

Service leaves much to be desired. Our food was great, portions were generous but not overwhelming. We were seated quickly, never saw a server for 15 minutes, when she arrived she apologized & said she would bring us some pita bread. Which wasn’t brought, until we asked for it when our dinners were served. Seemed like there was more than enough staff, but no one managing what was being done. A lot of empty tabels, many needing to be bused, others set, and staff engaged in conversations with each other.

Superb service! They were running low on red wine, so he hooked me up with a $ 14 glass of wine for $ 8! Got dolmas, SO good!!! I’ve been here a few time before, always a great experience and wonderful food & wine.

Great food and service. Couldn’t have asked for better. Very surprised they were empty on a Friday night. I had the stuffed gyro with a blended red wine. They a complimentary shot to clean your pallet at the end. If I wasn’t stuffed I would have liked to try the bread pudding. Will have to go back to try. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been nomsing at Jake & Telly for about 15 years. I don’t live in the Springs(my stint there lasted a mere 5 months before I skedaddled) so I don’t get there often… But after this last visit, I’m beginning to think that the hour-long drive may just be worth it. Because, Reasons: The Appetizer Platter: First, it’ll feed you for three days. Seriously. 2 huge meatballs, Grape Leaves(Dolmades), Hummus, Tsatsiki, Grilled Gyro Meat, Pita, Olives, Feta, Tomatoes…(And Spanokopita according to their Online Menu, but I don’t recall if it was on their in-house menu, and mine didn’t come with it.) The Chicken Gyro: As the Hubby puts it: «This is the best Chicken Gyro I’ve ever had. It’s spectacular.» The Service: Oh my gosh. So obviously, I had leftovers. We were going up to Cave of the Winds for the day… No fridge in my car(Got the economy version…) These people HELD our LEFTOVERS for us in their fridge. And they did it with a SMILE. Like, Woah.
