Loved the atmosphere. The free chips, queso and salsa on Friday until 7pm(I think) was a surprise. The place was so full we were at a 45 min wait so I eat at the bar and was seated right away. The bar staff was friendly and the tacos I ordered were fantastic.

So I took the b-friend here for his b-day. He already knows I’m cheap(pronounced financially conservative) so he wasn’t surprised when I used a Groupon {Living Social deal?} to get a discount. And I’m glad I did… I’m giving this location 3 stars because I just wasn’t impressed. I have no opinion on the DT location because I haven’t been there. I understand it’s a better atmosphere, but I don’t have any complaints about the overall vibe of the place. The crowd was a healthy mixture of couples, multi generational famines, friends hanging out and a random single-looking person chilling art the bar. Our waitress mentally switched off & on all night. She was super about checking on ingredients and substitutions, but I had to tell her at least 4 times about the birthday, and b-friend never did get his song or free T-shirt. Dammit… He could use another random shirt in the T-shirt section of his closet… The food was good. Nothing to rave about, and we took home our leftovers. They made for a good lunch at work. We both had the chimis, I substituted black beans for meat since I’m a freak and don’t eat dead animals. Yes I know, bacon is amazing… But back to the topic at hand; the food is good. The portions are proportional to price(say that after a scorpion bowl!) I do wish they didn’t have so many TV’s. Or at least would put them on the same channel. It’s distracting… Or no TVS… Really, restaurants shouldn’t have TV’s. I’d go back, probably not pay full price. Yay for deals if the day…(And yes, I tip on the pre-discount price… sheesh!)

Jose uses the same food vendor that Taco Bell uses :)This is the worst Mexican food in town. I gave Jose 2 stars because the waitress was nice and prompt. How does Jose sleep at night?

The outside patio is nice but can be quite loud in the area that has a garage door. We were the only two in the room other than a family with what seemed like an infinite amount of children screaming so I imagine happy hour with lots of people can be quite loud. Not Muldon’s fault about the brood, just a volume observation. Definitely not as «cool» as the one downtown but that’s a classic and impossible to reproduce. It’s a pleasant size though and a great idea to have a half inside/outside patio. The happy hour is decent but again, my pet peeve, pre-mixed margs. Always a bummer but they are better than some. Not too sweet and a decent portion which is good. No buzz after two so perhaps more generous with the booze. Tastes cool down the gullet. Always a positive. I had the soft shell chicken tacos that were very fresh and well priced. They had all of the accompaniments that a taco should have and none of the stuff that doesn’t belong. I appreciate a good taco without mangos, pineapple and things that belong in a fruit salad, not tacos. My husband had tostadas and said they were also enjoyable but on the small side. He said, «don’t go nouveau and bring small dishes. Stick to authentic Mexican food and go big or go home.» I however found the size perfect. I was able to walk out feeling full, but not so rotund that I had to roll to my car. To each his own on the portion sizes. The sopapillas are good but a bit bready for a sopapillas. I like mine to be like a large hollow cave so that the honey can hang like stalagmites and stalactites of sweet and sappy bee gifts. Sadly, these had too many dough impediments inside for my honey to flow freely. Still tasty though. A good deal for lunch and a couple of not-too-strong drinks but I would feel a bit remiss if I’d paid more for dinner prices. It isn’t bad, could be worse, but could definitely be better.

I’m not really sure I understand why a few people are so upset. I live in Aspen and expect great food and service. The margs aren’t the best you’ll ever have, but they are good. The tacos however, are AMAZING!!! Had carnitas street style and my boyfriend got the fish tacos which he loved! We had a lovely little lunch. It’s not ever going to receive a Michelin ranking, but for what it is and does, it is excellent!

Stopped by for lunch on our way to the Parade of Homes yesterday. The service was okay, but not great. I mean, everyone was polite, but uninterested. For example, we were told it’d be a 5 – 10 minute wait, which was no big deal, of course. But, the hostess still called us by name and waited for us to come to the hostess stand when we were the only people waiting and we were sitting five feet away in plain sight. Our waitress was polite, but brought us a basket of chips that were just the leavings in the bottom of their bin — very few were whole, which makes it difficult to dip the salsa. The salsa was bland and when I asked for something spicier, I was charged for the extra salsa, which was still bland. Actually, all of the food was bland… like the cooks forgot to use salt. I ordered the a half-order of the nacho appetizer and my wife ordered an enchilada plate with chicken and cheese enchiladas. The green chili on her enchiladas was okay, but the chicken had no seasoning and tasted like it came from a can. The nachos were okay, but the ground beef lacked any real seasoning, as well. Overall, the food is mediocre. I recall it being better, which is why we stopped in. If you want good Mexican, go to El Padrino’s up at Northgate & Voyager.

I have nothing to say except this place blows. Tacos suck, chips suck, margaritas are decent. I will never come here again. I laugh everytime I see someone actually recommends this place as «good Mexican food». Please.

Five stars for Britneys service. What a sweetheart! Three to 3.5 stars for food and everything else. Typical corporate place. Clean neat appearance of restaurant. Ask for Britney to wait on you! You won’t regret it! :)

I’m a happy hour junkie and they have a good one. $ 5 street tacos w/4 tacos, taste excellent. My quesadilla with ground beef was great but was a little spicy for my wife, which was awesome cause I didn’t have to share! We went on Thursday and there is $ 1 coronaitas(7oz) all day! There are some great deals to be had here. The service(bartender) was great. He recommended the chicken quesadilla and we wound up getting half chicken, half ground beef. I wasn’t a fan of the chicken and he insisted on refunding half of it as he saw we didn’t really eat that half. I didn’t ask, but was really impressed with that level of service.

One word… terrible. Despite some of the negative reviews we read, we decided to at least give it a chance and are regretful we did.

Wow! If you want fast service DONT come here! Go to the one downtown way way way better. The wait staff is nicer and you don’t wait for 20 minutes for 3 Tacos. Yea this is such a waste of time.

My husband & I have been coming here for great Mexican food for over 2 years. This place is great — the food is really good, but honestly, we keep coming back because of the outstanding service. One person in particular is Brandon Hickman — Every time we walk in, he greets us with such a warm welcome & always makes our dining experience so nice. My husband always orders his favorite item(that is not on the menu) and it is always done perfectly! We always look forward to our next visit & coming in to see such friendly faces. Thanks, Brandon for always making our dinners a pleasure — we will certainly see you soon!

I was here and left because of the slow service. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes waiting to get a drink. I figured if it would take that long for a drink then it would be extremely long for food.

Jose Muldoons is keeping with the current trend of expansion and following such Denver gastronomic Goliath’s such as Snooze, It’s Brother’s, Lodo’s and many more. As a former Colorado Springs resident and patron of the OG Muldoons I was pleased to see their prosperity– but oddly hesitant to try this new NECS location when visiting my folks last weekend. The menu is pretty much the same I remember from the OG Downtown location including Sunday Margarita Brunch– entrée AND a house Margarita for under $ 10 Bucks= Deal. Service was friendly and prompt even during the Stetson Hills area After-Church crowd. Interior and design are updated but reflect the OG Downtown Tejon Street feel.

Been a regular for years but have noticed a significant decline. They changed the menu and stopped serving our favorite wings. They damn near give them away on football nights all they had to do was charge normal price. Not a fan of what we ate off of the new menu but the Dos Equis on tap is great and cold. I’ll come to drink here but not to eat. Bartenders not so chatty but OK, it is one of the more difficult places to bartend with around 20 seats at the bar.

I went to this location quite a bit when it first opened and this evening was my first time back in a while. Hostesses were friendly and sat us quickly. However when we arrived at our booth we were sad to see that the floor looked as if it took a beating the night before and still hadn’t been tended to. Broken tortilla chips and various food crumbs everywhere. The server was friendly but wasn’t around much. Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down significantly since my last visit. My party had ordered fajitas, a burrito, chimichanga, torito, queso, guac and margaritas. The rice looked like it had been served sparingly among the plates and tasted like it had been prepared earlier in the day. The guacamole was clearly brown as if someone tried to stir it up to hide the color and was sour(not in a lemon/lime way). Now for the margaritas. Lets be honest, they tasted like watered down lemonade and were OVERFLOWING with ice. I really wish I was exaggerating, but I cant make this stuff up. Sad to say after many years of frequenting the downtown location and then the powers location when it first opened, we will not be returning.

Don’t go here. The decorative water fountain in the lobby would be nice if the water wasn’t disgusting. It was foamy and murky. My family of three waited 25 minutes on Sunday afternoon for a table and when we looked around the restaurant, we counted 7 empty tables for that duration. So it looks like either the hostess is incompetent or they are having staffing issues with having enough servers. My wife and I ordered shredded beef burritos. The only thing that had flavor was the red sauce. The meat wasn’t seasoned at all and was very dry. The burrito was very bland. I could have cooked something fresher and more flavorful at home.

I absolutely love this place. The food is great, the service is always great, and they have the best fried ice cream of any Mexican restaurant in Colorado. I wish they had one up here in Denver, because I would be there quite often! Keep up the good work guys!

The food was average to poor. I ate Santa Fe enchiladas and the tortilla’s were so stale I had to use a sharp knife to cut through them. I have never had chicken enchiladas I couldn’t cut with a fork. The menu said the enchiladas were topped with sour cream. When they came, the size of the sour cream was barely enough for one bite. I asked for a little more sour cream, never expecting they would charge me for it, and the waiter never told me I would be charged. When I got my check, they had charged me for the sour cream, and I could have gone out and bought a half pint for the amount they charged. The chips were average, but the salsa was pretty good. Save your money, there are much better Mexican Restaurants in the area with much better food available. The food was way over priced for Mexican food.

This location seems to have flaky servers. We had to ask for silver ware after they brought our food. We have tried the taco Tuesday deal and they are pretty thin tacos but seemed fresh. I really love the chips and salsa and the margarita I tried was good.
