Ever have one of those days when you just wanna be a samurai or a fairy? Well stop dreaming and make it so! This little shoppe has the wardrobe inventory and accessories for ANYTHING you want to be. I’ve stopped in here a few times and have found it to be quite magical — the kind of magical that transports you back in time to childhood when you played dress up. It encourages the average, 9 – 5 adult to play and be silly and uninhibited! My most recent reason for pulling up to this little Victorian-style house was elementary school-related. My kid needed a Revolutionary era costume and this place was recommended by his school. They delivered! He was given not one but several options to choose from. The ladies who hold down the fort are very helpful and I thought the pricing was pretty reasonable(although the price list published at the counter did not seem to be very accurate at the time). I think we paid $ 45.00 for my son’s costume. Beats buying it or sifting through the awesome but hit-or-miss inventory at Goodwill for something that looks the part! The bottom line is that this is a great small business to check out. Please do. Zeezo’s on Tejon is really great too but more expensive and maybe the quality is not as good. The costumes at Ivywild really seem to be more authentic and well-made — not cheap plastic crap at all. Good stuff. Hope you checkem’ out and get your alter-ego on!
