You get a lot of food for the money. I enjoyed my eggs Benedict and my mother liked her eggs and bacon. The reason I took away two stars was they offered to substitute pancake for biscuits and gravy but failed to mention that it cost 2.00 more. My mom had not asked to do that, the waitress mentioned it as an option without revealing it cost more. I didn’t like that very much but I liked everything else.

We are here for a weekend getaway and just came across this place! From the moment we walked in we felt right at home! The food was amazing and there was lots of it! I definitely can’t wait to go back!

I don’t know how the food was because they wouldn’t accept my coupon, so my daughter and I walked out. This was a legitimate coupon I received in the mail«Val-Pak» or one of those. It had been burning a hole in my pocket for about a month, so on Saturday morning my daughter and I drove all the way up I-25 north to Garden of the Gods exit, then on out west to Centennial Blvd. just to give this place a try. They have a huge sign posted outside making a correction to the coupon, so I took a moment and read it thoroughly and ascertained that it wouldn’t affect us. After we ordered drinks and perused the menu, the waitress came back to take our order and when I told her we were going to split the Breakfast Burrito, she condescendingly informed us that we would not be able to use the coupon on a split plate. That’s not what the coupon said. That’s not what the big poster outside said. The coupon said 50% off any breakfast or lunch. Period. So after we walked out, we stopped again for a moment to read the fine print on the poster outside. The poster said the coupon’s no good on split checks. We weren’t «splitting the check», I was paying the entire check. We were sharing the meal because we do that all the time. Why order two huge breakfasts that we can’t eat and make us feel fat and throw food in the trash. The coupon says 50% off any breakfast or lunch. What do they care who eats it? The waitress was ill-informed and unpleasant. It didn’t smell very good in there either.

Our waitress Deidra was rude and rushed us the entire meal. If you tried to ask her a question she’d cut you off before you could finish. Never refilled our coffee, we had to ask other staff. «Grandma» wanted to seat people behind us and told me(didn’t ask) to push my chair in so she could try to squeeze in a 5th chair at that table, which didn’t end up working. OK breakfast but I’ll never go back! If you go, ask to not be in Deidra’s section, a couple could be heard making this request while we waited for our meal.

The classic quantity vs. quality battle. Seems like this place would choose ‘quantity’ 99 times out of 100. Otto’s is a greasy spoon born of a similar mind that created ‘King Chef’ but got lost somewhere along the way. Everyone says«get the hobo eggs.» Don’t get the hobo eggs. If you like scrambled eggs with(essentially) raw vegetables and zero salt whatsoever, then this dish might be the best breakfast you’ve ever had. If you’ve developed a taste for a decent breakfast though — don’t. Within 60 seconds of starting to work on my breakfast I was handed a takeout container without requesting such device. I didn’t stop in for leftovers; just a good early-morning meal. The machaca eggs were actually decent, but same shortcomings as the other food. Overall underseasoned and undersalted. I can’t say I’ve ever emptied an entire bottle of cholula on one dish before this day. If you’re in the neighborhood and starving, this food will do the job. I’d take Einstein Bagels any day though(onlya few shops down the strip mall). If you’re craving a really greasy, sloppy breakfast food, this food will do the job. I’d rather drive a few extra miles downtown to King Chef though, hangover and all.

My family and I went here on New Year’s Day so I don’t know if it was super busy because of that or if it is always that packed. This is an issue right off because there is one bench that fits four at most while waiting. Otherwise, prepare to stand right where people walk in or wait outside. There was no official«host» and went on the honor system which is a pending disaster. We waited five minutes if not longer, to get a lukewarm coffee. By the time the waitress(I use the term loosely) we would’ve been able to order then. Lord knows we had enough time to decide our order. It took forever to put our orders in also. My son and I opted for the avocado burgers; my husband ordered his diner usual, chicken fried steak. Kudos to the cook’s speed because he was cranking out the food in an impressive rate considering the volume. Sadly, the reason for this is that he clearly skips the most important cooking step: seasoning. We both ordered our burgers medium rare and they were not even remotely close to cooked that much. They were rare at most, the temperature reflected as such. I’ve never had a burger that cold. I’m not saying heat lamp warm. I’m saying cold. Picture the rawness and coolness of steak tartare, now apply that to a cold piece of ground beef minus the tartare quality. I am still at a loss as to why it was so «watery» because the burger slid around off the bun so much I had to eat it with a knife and fork. My son’s was exactly the same way so it wasn’t a fluke. I had a side of onion rings for an extra two dollars. They were ok. My son had the chips and he said they were«ok» as well. He is a fifteen year old that eats almost anything so take his his opinion with a grain of salt. The salt that was omitted from the food. My husband’s chicken fried«steak» was in fact, a slab of ground beef. They are literally using the same mediocre ground beef as my undercooked burger, clearly not an actual steak. My husband requested extra gravy on the side as well at the time of the order which he did not receive.(Side note: we also had no creamer and looked around to snag a few off of a neighboring tables. There was none within about five tables). He said that his meal was drastically under seasoned as well. During the course of our single course meal there was a pleasant gentleman running around filling drinks and serving plates. He was a bright spot in an otherwise metaphorically dim place. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have known we had a waitress at all. Why? Because we practically didn’t. I didn’t even bother sending mine back because it didn’t seem worth it but I did overhear the table next to us sent some things back so the issues weren’t isolated, I expected as much. Not shockingly, our«server» didn’t know to bring our tab, that would require knowing we needed one. After my husband waived her down to grab our check(yes, we had to request to pay) she brought back the wrong tab. Luckily, my husband noticed quickly enough so that some stranger wasn’t able to run off with his credit card! Somewhere along the line it must have come to her attention that leaving plates that are finished isn’t good service because she said, «let me get these plates out of your way» at the exact time she took our card to run… Please by all means take our plates as we are leaving. Super helpful. Thank you. On the one hand I felt a bit bad that perhaps they were understaffed because of the large crowd but then noticed there were enough staff, they were just unorganized and so overwhelmed that she must have left her nice attitude at home. Luckily the gentleman brought his to work that day. Please don’t ask me if everything tastes ok AFTER you took our money. The appropriate time to do so would’ve been when you should’ve checked on us while we were still eating. I didn’t realize it was a new establishment but once I found out, the décor made sense. It is obvious they are going for the«Americana» look and started with the border of license plates(um, Americana plates are vintage, not circa 2013 btw). Sadly, I don’t think anyone has had time to call American Pickers to buy chachkis and instead decided to run to the closest Hobby Lobby and grab some metal pictures/posters/signs to put on the wall. The result of the minimal(clearly not complete) décor is it ends up looking depressing like they didn’t have time to the 8th buy-one-get-one for a penny special at the craft store. I honestly don’t like giving such a low rating but this place really earned their 1 bubble. Sorry guys. I’m embarrassed for my state that the giant train painting conductor had a CO flag on his shirt. It is a CA based chain, please kindly remove our state’s brand from your train painting and choo choo back out west. :(

They won’t let you use a coupon and split a check. Waitresses talk badly about customers behind the register. Lacks professionalism. Overpriced for just decent food.

Oh my goodness. Okay first tried crazy ottos because i had a coupon. We went for breakfast and it was off the charts good. Portions are huge. Everything is fresh. And you can tell. Upon first glance you might think it’s expensive for a diner, but boy is it worth it. Qualify And portions are way above Any other diner I’ve been to. It’s a drive for us but we are going to become regulars! Ownership, management and servers are all excellent!

All I can say is Wow! The food was all fresh made from scratch and the plate was over flowing when they brought it out to me. Service was fast and friendly. The day we went in was not very busy, but hope they staff up for those busy times as there was only one server when we visited.

This place is awesome, We are from California where Crazy Ottos originated! And we were pumped to find it here. Any breakfast place we go to is compared to Crazy Otto’s. SO far NOCOMPARISON! Nothing in Colorado even comes close. Thanks C.O. for the great breakfast!

Mediocre, at best. A $ 30 for breakfast should be decent, this greasy, bland, and disgusting food is an extraordinarily expensive. The bacon(spam) in the burrito turned my wife’s stomach. There was probably a time in history this restaurant earned their customers, but both of our meals went into the trash. The owner should be ashamed they took our money.

Ummm. Was not aware before stepping in that this place is a chain. :-( Well, that’s ok I guess, but I try to support local businesses as much as possible. So I was not thrilled to find out. This is a restaurant that began in California near the railroad tracks… hence their logo with the locomotive. The restaurant is new, so all is clean from the booths to the tables to the walls. It is sparsely decorated with license plates and americana tin signs. The food was not cheap, but the portions are HUGE. I had to ‘custom order’ my sausage and cheese biscuit as they don’t have any on the menu. They charged me around $ 10.50 for my plate. I guess given the size it makes sense. Their sausage is not the regular size patty type. It’s a slab as big as a steak, so they decided it in two biscuits and gave me some hash browns as a side. I took ½ of my plate to go, because it was WAY too much. I would suggest to order one plate and share with another adult. They do charge $ 1 for sharing, but that’s still what I would do since the food is just way too much. My husband got the country fried steak plate, which came with 2 gravy biscuits, and it was way too much for him. He did not particularly enjoy his though, so he left some on the plate and did not want to take it home. I did try his steak and I found it very garlicky. But I was happy with my sausage biscuits. So it’s a toss up on food. The server was very nice and polite. We may end up going back since this is very close to Rockrimmon and we don’t have much of a choice in our area for eateries in general.

Lots of food per plate. Unfortunately it wasnt that great. Had the Corned Beef hash, hash browns, eggs and the biscuits and gravy. Even if it tasted great I couldn’t finish it. The coffee is below average.

This food did not live up to it’s hype. We waited maybe 15 minutes for a table. I was really thinking this place had done great food. We had the hobo eggs– potatoes with eggs tomatoes, onions and mushrooms. With toast… It was not the best breakfast nor did it look appetizing. I promise you it looked like something slopped together– I was a little upset over the taste also. Tasteless — and nasty… The size was huge — like wastefully large, I felt like the waitress should have told us. — also order chili cheese fries which never made it completely to the table. Only the chili did — which was bland, and tasted like hormel chili out of the can. The server was not what I would call great — it was just service — Lastly … The little show they put on was cute… Every hour they spin a wheel and give away a table meals for free.

Decent but not great by any means. I paid around $ 6 for a Egg Salad sandwich and it was a very basic sandwich. Then $ 2 more dollars for fries and then a few more dollars for a drink. So did I get a $ 9 meal, not in my opinion. Will I be going back? Maybe to try breakfast but I doubt it. I just didn’t feel like i got my money worth.

I’ve been here a few times: * Enormous portions * 1950’s-1960’s rock music in the background. Yay Beatles! * Excellent quality food. * My service has always been excellent, but I’ll give you a hint; if you come in with an attitude, prepare to get attitude in kind served right back, at no extra charge. Friendly? Nicest people in the world! Asshole with pretensions? Go eat somewhere else. * The green chili is especially good.
