I enjoy the happy hour food but my biggest complaint with this place are the wait times for drinks along with the wet beer glasses. After five or so visits it has always taken ten minutes or longer for drinks despite a sometimes empty restaurant. And we are ordering beer… a very easy thing to expedite. The second is the frozen beer mugs… Just serve the beer in normal glasses please! The idea of a frosted mug is cool, but what it ends up being is a sticky mess of melted water on the table and my hands. I’ve come with multiple people and everyone looks down at the beer with a weird look when they see so much frost and water making everywhere. I wish the staff would order themselves a beer and watch their table get covered in water and their hands get sticky. Not a fun thing. Rating goes up to four of those two things were addressed.

Great food! However service is never very good. They don’t have a changing table in either one of their bathrooms which is very annoying when you need to change your baby’s diaper.

Been here several times. The drink selection and my choices do not disappoint. The food as well has been delightful. Service sometimes isn’t evenly focused.

So far I am giving this a four star review as I have not had an entrée yet. My girlfriend and I had martinis and the trio dips(happy hour is fantastic) and enjoyed every bit. We will definitely be back for entrees soon. The décor was subtle but definitely urban industrial with hints of old speakeasy, jazz era bars. The bartender we had was an enthusiastic trainee and the two regular bartenders were very attentive. It was a very quiet Wednesday night so it wasn’t exactly busy. The food was decent quality and the queso was far better than typical chain quality. I had a Rat Pack martini which was pretty good, mixed well and tasted perfect and my girlfriend ordered a «90 miles to Florida» and enjoyed it. It wasn’t too sweet and I liked it as well. Overall, it was a positive experience and I plan to return soon.

We had a great time. From the fun atmosphere(everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves) to the $ 5 burgers on Tuesdays, which were amazing and come with fries or tots. The service was also good. We will be back!

Their Tues burger deal is decent and the apps aren’t bad. However, do not, I repeat do not order a drink off of the menu. For instance, their cucumber martinis is refreshing and delicious. However, when I have the bartender my standard«sidecar test» they failed with flying colors. When a martini bar bartender has to Google what a sidecar is, that is not a good sign. It was a really poorly made drink and even though they clearly made it about as incorrectly as one could make a drink I was still charged a very high price for it. Did I necessarily expect to not be charged, no. But was I kind of surprised they didn’t even offer to take it back, yup. I basically would’ve increased their tip by the cost of the martini had they at least made the effort. Off the menu drinks aside, they aren’t bad and I appreciate that they have a large glass and a pretty full pour. The service isn’t bad but it isn’t amazing either. The service is more attentive at the bar and really slides downhill when they get busy. I’d recommend going earlier in the evening or later in the evening. One great aspect is the very large outdoor decks that you can smoke cigars on!!! These days it is very rare to find any cigar friendly establishment and I love that this is one of them. The deck is large enough that non-cigar smokers would be able to space themselves away from the rest of us that enjoy a stogie. I haven’t been here in a while since they’ve opened so hopefully when I return I can give the fourth star.

I got the Stackhouse burger. It came with Bleu cheese, mushrooms, onions, etc. The burger was cooked great but overall it was way too salty. I substituted my does for a side salad so that was a $ 1 upgrade. The salad was tiny and normally costs $ 5 as an extra, but the house dressing was amazing. The service was really slow and food was overpriced. I won’t come back unless it’s only for drinks.

Beer is beer. No change. But the service was not that great, despite that there weren’t that many people. We waited for our drinks more than 5 min. Chicken pot pie soup thing they have? Not good at all. Peas taste like one from a can or a bag of frozen peas. Soup tastes loke water down cream soup with some chunks of chicken and bread in it. No not good at all. Many times I were there, i get disappointed. I don’t know why I go back there. Maybe next time I’ll get a burger. We’ll see.

After giving this place a couple of tries I’m on the fence. On one hand they have a great bar with a decent selection of beers. On the other the food is pretty meh and the prices are too. I want to love the place but every time I order a $ 7 beer and my meal comes out overcooked or with some other issue I think to myself, what are you doing here. With all the other options in the area I’d probably keep walking.

Stopped by for dinner and drinks after a movie. Liked the layout and thought the atmosphere was great. Burgers were delicious and really enjoyed the loaded tots. Had strawberry lemonade sangria; which was very tasty, but for the price($ 9.50) I felt they either need to serve with less fruit(I had 5 pieces of lemon, 2 limes and 4 strawberries) or serve in a larger glass(came in a standard wind glass). Music was a little loud for conversation but well within reason. Service was good.

Best place in town for awesome burgers and drinks! A few of us go about once a month on a Tuesday for their $ 5 Tuesday Burger deal. Never have had a bad experience here. The only downfall to this place is how long you have to wait for a table. They are very busy and popular. But if you don’t mind the wait, you will be glad you did.

We went in Nov 10th for the free meal for military promotion. It also happened to be $ 5 burger and fries. As a result, the place was packed. It took us a while to get seated. There was a group of people just waiting on the stairs and we didn’t realize that we were supposed to seat ourselves. Once we realize this we found a spot for the two of us and sat down. We sat at the edge of an 8-top near another couple. We were greeted almost right away by a server in the bar area. He took our orders after giving us some recommendations. It took over an hour to get our food, but we were able to tide over with some chips. After there was a mix up as to where our food was supposed to go to and the long wait, a manager came to check on us and apologize for the delay. We definitely understood the delay was beyond their control, result of circumstance of multiple promotions. I had the BBQ Burger and tots. Patty had a great flavor and was perfect with a touch more BBQ sauce which the manager happily brought. My soldier had the voodoo pasta, excellent! Great spin on a New Orleans style dish. Tuesday $ 5 burger and fries is an an excellent deal(combined with ½ price apps until 7!) We will definitely be returning. Thank you for supporting the Military!

My go-to happy hour restaurant close to home Unless you’re a fan of Chili’s and Red Robin restaurants, there’s not much along the Powers corridor. Louie’s is one of my go-to’s though — between its happy hour specials and rooftop patio with twinkle lights. Is it perfect? No. But it’s one of the better options we have out here. |FOOD| Most places I frequent, I have that one thing I just have to have. Not here. Everything I’ve had so far has been just OK enough for me not to hate it but not enough to be craving it again. The pig and pepper sliders and salmon sliders are both good. My mom liked the shrimp wraps. Their burgers aren’t frozen(bonus points) and are handmade patties. I’ve liked the BBQ one and the Stockyard one. [Warning though: The waiter told my husband he doesn’t like blue cheese, but he liked the Stockyard burger because there wasn’t too much of it. The blue cheese is literally a hockey puck of cheese on this burger — not just a few crumbles.] My husband does love their bruschetta. And I’m all for the loaded tots when I’m feeling the need the splurge — they have cheese sauce, bacon and giardiniera. Wasn’t a fan of their tuna sandwich(and I usually love tuna). The meat difficult to bite into. The pear and blue cheese salad with salmon was good. Grease factor on the calamari is hit and miss. |DRINKS| GREAT happy hour specials(see Costs). They have 30+ beers on draft, a decent selection of wine and signature cocktails galore. My friend really enjoys their Diva martini. I’m not a fan of super sweet cocktails and tend to lean toward the Clover, the Dirty and Effen Good. |COSTS| Their happy hour is where it’s at. Monday-Friday from 4 – 7: $ 3.25 drafts, $ 4.25 wines, $ 5.25 martinis; flatbreads are ½ off; and there are select other apps(chips and a trio of dips, calamari, bruschetta, quesadillas, and a few others) that are ½ off. On Tuesdays, they have $ 5 burger night. Warning though: It will be SLAMMED. I was told last week that it was 1.5 hour wait for a table, so I saddled up to the bar where people were jockeying for spots. Otherwise, their prices are middle of the line. On a normal night, apps are $ 7-$ 10, burgers/sandwiches are $ 10-$ 12, salads and entrees are $ 10-$ 15 with a few more that are more depending on what the protein is. Text CSP to 52051, and they’ll send you a coupon for a free app within about 24 hours. |EVENTS| Happy hour: Monday-Friday, 4 – 7(see details above) $ 5 burgers: Tuesdays(see details above) Blues and Brews: Thursdays after 10 p.m.: I’ve never been but from what I’ve heard it’s live music |LOCATION/AMBIANCE| I actually really enjoy the feel here. It’s got a modern grill/urban bar feel to it, but the menu suggests somewhat of a Creole flair. Everything is nice and clean. My favorite part is that the entire restaurant is on the second floor and the west-facing windows are floor-to-ceiling sliders that they roll up when the weather is nice to give it an open feeling. They also have some of these on the east side of the building that separate the inside dining and patio and open those up, too. And the views are nice. There is also a small patio area to the north overlooking the courtyard area of the movie theater and a nice huge patio on the east side you can sit at under their lights. It’s my favorite place close by to sit at, enjoy the views and weather, and a grab a drink. |SERVICE| With the exception of some off recommendations, we’ve never had a problem with service here. Everyone has been friendly and largely knowledgeable. I’ve been on busy nights and slow nights, and the only difference in service has been that they’re typically a little more difficult to grab if you’re at the bar. But I wouldn’t fault anyone for that. They do allow waiters/resses wear almost whatever they want as long as it’s black, and they’re allowed to show tattoos, which I have no problem with. And it’s in line with their whole modern-flair décor. |CHILDREN| This place is kid friendly. But their house rules state: «Unattended children will be given espresso and a free kitten.» So watch out for that one. ;)

If I could give 10 star for customer service, I totally would ! Nicolle, our server, was not only super friendly, patient(and not lots of people are with how picky I am lol), helpful, but also very knowledgable about the foods and drinks on the menu ! She was on top of her game, and that is the most important in my eyes ! Order was delivered quickly ! Food was really really good and drinks? Oh man, my mojito was strong! But that’s a good thing right ? I would totally recommend this place to people, and I will be more happy to take there my family from back home(Poland) when they visit, so they can experience the amazing customer service we did ! Also, need to try their happy hours Mon thru Fri 4pm — 7pm next time we go !

Average restaurant among a fairly sterile food scene along Powers Blvd. For some reason I had lofty visions of this restaurant before visiting. I was expecting an intimate restaurant with an upscale, selective, creative menu. Instead this restaurant and bar were crowded and about the size of The Cheesecake Factory. Bar Louie appears to be a themed restaurant, but I can’t quite figure out what the theme is. I’m guessing a little Creole? Haunted New Orleans? Servers wore a mishmash of black: some had on black club wear, stretchy dresses, leggings, off shoulder tops. a couple others were in floor length black prom dresses. It was strange. The menu was as expected for a restaurant of this scale with variations on burgers, salads and standard appetizer fare(like calamari, wings and spinach dip). There were some other entrees on the menu but none were memorable enough to mention here. The cocktail menu was pretty extensive and during happy hour the martinis were just $ 5.25. If you’re wanting a place to meet someone before or after a movie, Bar Louie is a safe pick, though not particularly crave-worthy.

Aside from the waitress spilling a glass of water down my mother in laws back I thought the food was spectacular and the Bloody Mary was quite tasty! The atmosphere was amazing and not at all what I was expecting. Seemed really laid back and a nice place to just hang out. Would love to come back on a nice day and enjoy some drinks on their patios.

Consistently inconsistent! Like many others have said… Great new place on the northeast side of the springs but just like the other bar louies I have visited the service is mediocre at best. And seriously we would never choose to drink there outside happy hour but it’s way too overpriced and it seems when I order martinis they never come the same twice! I will say CHARLES is a fantastic bartender that we have gotten to know but if he isn’t working… Your screwed. The last time we visited… It took 7 minutes to even be greeted… on a Friday… during happy hour. Two visible bartenders were cutting limes and seemingly no one was really helping guests. One of them, poor girl, had clearly slicwd open her finger and was visibly in pain and quite pale. She was the most helpful for being they injured one. Then when I did order my rat pack had TWO fruit flies in a very visibly dirty glass with lipstick on the rim. Kinda yucky. The replacement wasn’t dirty as requested so I just drank it… Then when I ordered another it was terrible and tasted like a glass of straight gin… ugh. We won’t stop coming because happy hour is very reasonable but we just come to expect poor service and inconsistency.

Excellent service on a slow Wednesday night. Decent drinks selection, including a healthy menu of craft beers, wines, and cocktails like mojitos and others. Any place that serves well-made fish and chips is alright in my book, and this particular food quality was high, better than most pubs I’ve been to, albeit it’s not exactly a five-star restaurant and it’s not meant to be either. Great, attentive service staff! Catered extremely well to a group of seven in this instance. Very nice ambiance without excessive background noise or obnoxiously loud music. I was also very happy to see it conveniently located in a shopping center, meaning it’s accessible and not at all exclusive — it’s next to a Dick’s Sporting Goods, for example. It’s also close to both the airport and Peterson AFB.

Great drinks, great atmosphere and great food! Highly recommend the«Chicago Stockyard» burger. Yuuuuuuuum!!! Only complaint. AC was blasting. Burrrrrr. Temp was 11* outside. We asked to turn off the ‘wind’ blowing down on us, but it never happened. Will be back. Hopefully to a warmer table
