Are you looking for an amazing authentic delicious Chinese meal? Then for the love of all that is holy– do NOT eat here! This is likely the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten in my life. It IS, without a doubt, the nastiest Chinese food I’ve ever had. The restaurant is dirty and nasty inside — my husband picked the to go order up and relayed that tidbit to me. I have also had a friend(after hearing me gripe about how gross our food was) tell me she saw roaches after she walked through the doors and turned around and left, once upon a time. The food — we ordered beef and broccoli which was drenched in a sauce that had all the beef tinted pink. Ummm beef and bro olio should be in a brown sauce? The beef was so fatty it was not even edible. The broccoli was barely cooked. They give huge portions but a very small portion of rice to accompany it. Like 6 cups of beef and broccoli and 1 cup of rice. * should have known when I saw the huge potion of beef for such a low price that I was about to eat rat meat… Vegetable LO mein– very few veggies in a monstrous serving of over cooked soggy noodles smothered with overly sugary soy sauce. Sesame chicken– this was the only thing that was somewhat edible. However the fried chicken balls soaked with sugary sweet and sour/duck sauce had a very unusual taste to them. Matter of fact, all the food had a strange melted styrofoam metallic old oily taste. Very bizarre and hard to distinguish. But it was gross. The egg rolls were beyond gross. Very thick breading with little stuffed in it besides a leaf of cabbage with a horrible oil taste of over– used, burnt oil that hasn’t been changed in years. I should add– I ordered this food not expecting real deal Chinese. I would go to ATAN, Iron Chef or Lee Khan for that. No, we ordered this expecting a step up from mall food and few steps down from real Chinese. BUT-What we got would put mall Chinese food on Food Network hall of fame. Seriously. Do. Not. Eat. Here. I feel awful wasting so much food tonight. And Wasting $ 25(yes yes it’s cheap but you get what you pay for people… wait… Actually it’s not worth even being cheap) I do not know how in the heck this place is still open. It blows my mind. I don’t know how the heck you mess up Lomein either though. But they found a way. My dearest Unilocalies– please, if you never listen to me about anything but this… stay away! IF you want junky mall type Chinese food, Go across the street to New China(by Kroger) although I am not suggesting this place of you want it to be good! or down the street to Panda Express(in front of walmart). But stay far far away from Yums, which I would like to petition to be renamed Yucks.

Terrible experience. A friend of my brother suggested that I try Yum’s as they serve«genuine Chinese food». So I treated my family to some Chinese food here. The food was very. Ew. The chicken sauce was syrupy and the noodles were over cooked. The portions were large but it all tasted the exact same.

Very typical Chinese food you would find at the mall. Nothing real special but the portions were big and prices were low. Don’t expect authentic Chinese food. No beer

I got a steak and onion sandwich. It was great. I also tried some general tso’s chicken. It was good too.(Had a nice spicy kick to it.) Service was good. Staff were friendly. I will be back.

While I enjoy ordering takeout from yums occasionally, I must say that they can sometimes be inconsistent with the type of food that they put out. Overall I do enjoy their food but you should always remember to check your order that it’s complete because sometimes they don’t get it right but most often they do. Eating in is not my preference because the tables are cramped and it’s noisy and not very pleasant overall. But in general the take out is pretty good.

Ok… one thing you should know about Yum’s before getting your hopes up and disappointed is that you should never order chinese food there. Simply put, it is not good. People who are used to sub par chinese at the yuckiest buffets may go for it, but its best to leave that alone. That said, they have some awesome food and that is the philly steak sandwiches. They are awesome. The meat is tasty and blended with onions and you can get mushrooms added too. The buns are steamy soft and the sandwiches are large .and a good price and the fries that go with them are also delicious. Go there for the subs and you will be pleasantly surprised as that is the best they have to offer Service is quick too!

BESTBEEFANDBROCCOLI! I gave this place another try last time my parents decided to get takeout from here. I got egg drop soup but it tasted… off. I didn’t finish it. It is very affordable with large portions and friendly service. I love the lady that works there and her family. They’re always nice and if you go often they will remember you and what you tend to order. Also their dinner portions come in tupperware containers that are amazingly awesome. We use them all the time. My favorite thing on the menu, really the only things I like, are their Beef and Broccoli and their fried dumplings. They taste consistently good. But everything else I’ve tried has just been meh. Good: — Beef and Broccoli(fav) — Cream Cheese Wontons — Fried Dumplings(fav) — Shrimp and Lobster Sauce with white rice(mom fav) — Sweet and Sour Chicken — Sweet and Sour Shrimp(fav) Ok: — Chicken Lo Mein — Fillet Chicken Sub — Orange Chicken — Pork Chop Suey Nope: — Chicken Chop Suey — Egg Drop Soup — Egg Rolls — Teriyaki Chicken on a Stick — Wonton Soup Summary: ~ Friendly staff ~ Good portion sizes ~ Very affordable ~ Dinner portions come in awesome, reusable tupperware containers. ~ This used to be my favorite place for cheap Chinese food but my tastes have evolved and now I personally need something more authentic.

Chicken fried rice was bland and required major soy sauce for flavor. Also, their«large» is everyone else’s usual. Egg rolls contain only cabbage. Orders are not served in order. If it bothers you that others who arrived after you are served before you, you’ll have an issue. This appeared to be the norm.

The food here is decent and well priced. A large fried rice is a LARGE fried rice. I have only had the fried rice and General Tso’s Chicken, but I liked both. My only complaint is the smell in the building. It smells like stale old cleaner. They could use some air freshner to improve the smell for sure. Other than that, it is good chinese that is prepared quick. It has a huge menu variety as well!

I liked it. The service was good and the food was just as good. My only complaint would be that I ordered Sesame Chicken, and I could taste a hint of Orange in it which had me wondering, did they mix the sauces up or something? It wasn’t strong enough to be Orange Chicken but the flavor was deff there which kind of irritated me because I’m not a fan of Orange Chicken. Maybe they used the same spoon to serve the orange chicken and sesame chicken… who knows. But the Lo Mien was sooo good. They don’t have Pork Lo Mien on the menu for some reason but ask and you shall receive. I would recommend this place for good Chinese Takeout for sure. ***I want to add that I ordered A LOT of food from them, enough for a family of 5, so the chicken taste was the only complaint out of ALL the food we ordered and it wasn’t much of a complaint because the Orange flavor wasn’t strong so I could eat it and still be satisfied. Hopefully next time it tastes a lil more like Sesame Chicken though***

The saying is «Good, fast, cheap, pick two». Fast and cheap, not good. Go to New China on Byhalia instead.
