IHOP

This place deserves a ZERO! 30 minutes passed and no one approached our table; had to go the manager. Then we got the rudest waitress ever! Her name was Shante. No introduction. No humor. Not smiling. Nothing! She was just plain nasty. After taking the orders, we were very skeptical about eating at all. Didn’t know if she was going to spit in our food or what. Didn’t want to risk it. Walked out! Please be warned.

Do not go to this restaurant! Over 30 minute wait time for a carry out order of 1 omelette and 1 sandwich is ridiculous! And your food comes to you halfway packed. Poor customer service. All servers walk by without even acknowledging your presence. It’s like everyone is leaving it to the next person to take your order. I actually had to call a server to take my order. Your hard earned money deserves better customer service.

I have been coming here for years and the reviews reflect the kind of experience you will most likely have. It’s all or nothing. Overall I like IHOP breakfast I think it’s good. I love their fresh brewed ice tea it’s yummy and has the caffeine kick I need. Being a huge chain there seems to be a lot of turnover on the waitstaff. Most here are friendly and attentive but you will also get a few who are apathetic and lazy. I usually get outstanding friendly service here but have had some horrible experiences as well. I used to know several of the servers here but they have moved on. Give this IHOP a try but come with a gambler’s mentality and hope luck is on your side.

Don’t do it. Just don’t. Go somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. Food, service and wait times were horrible.

A group of coworkers and I went here for an early lunch for National Pancake Day. Parking was very tight and thankfully, we got one of the last spaces. We were somewhat worried that it would be packed, but when we walked inside, we were seated right away.
The hosts and servers that we interacted with were all very friendly. We all ordered a short stack of the buttermilk pancakes with sides and it only took about 10 – 15 minutes for our food to come out. Not bad at all. The pancakes? They were really delicious! I also ordered a side of the hash browns and they were really good too. It was really the perfect sized meal. The servers made sure that our water glasses were also constantly filled, which I always like. Overall, great experience!

Brought the kids for free pancake day and what was better than free pancakes was our server, NNamdi. He was all smiles and so friendly. It was expected to be busy but he apologized for taking so long with our food. Whenever we visit again I’m only coming when he works. Oh and watch out for Savyon, the waiter, he steals syrup from your table. Just kidding! He was a great server as well

I was on a wait list for 15 minutes, i was called to my seat, sat down with the family, the hostess gave us our menus and sat us down, there was only one fork on the table, only one sugar in the little holder, and a sticky menu, all we did was wait… For 30 minutes until a server saw us for drinks, our waitress came to us after a long time and asked us what we wanted, she apologized for the wait, but when my mom asked for a chicken noodle soup, the server yelled to another waiter, «what’s the soup of the day?» And eventually ended up asking all of the servers, no one knew what the soup of the day was… Than she said «sh*t» and walked to the kitchen herself and came back with what they had today.

IHOP is our Sunday brunch tradition. The service at this IHOP was very attentive, so much so that my 9 year old filled an application in crayon to work there. The pace was packed with family, college students and hipsters – very diverse. The food was so good I’d to take a 3 hour nap to sleep it off.

Terrible service. No less than 3 waiters walked by, along with the hostess, and no one greeted me. What does it take to get a table here?

When we walked in the first thing I noticed were the hostesses idly chit chatting as we waited for a few minutes for them to finish their conversation. Okay.
Then when we were seated it took another 10 – 15 minutes for a waitress to even notice no one had taken our order.
Luckily, the food came out pretty fast soon after and the waitress was nice. Food was okay.
But it took another 10 – 15 min after we had finished eating when maybe 10 minutes ago we asked for a glass of water to get the water. By then we were ready for a check.
All the waiting didn’t seem to put out enough benefits to balance it out, unfortunately.

Ok, I know what you’re thinking, 5 stars for an IHOP?! Well, they have made major changes in management and staff so I think it is deserved. I’m a very picky eater and will only eat paleo. They are able to accommodate me and they do it with a smile every time. I’m able to stick to my strict diet and not feel like I’m cheating. Also, they offer cracked egg omelettes if you ask for them. They always give me extra veggies and never charge me :)
It is nice to see a chain restaurant that cares about the needs of the customers and listens to constructive criticism.

Literally the worst service ever. Our waitress had the worst attitude. We had to get up and walk to her every time we needed something. The food was okay. But definitely not good enough to bear with their awful attitude. Do not come here unless you want to ruin your day.

iHOP is usually a great place to eat no matter where you are, and from a food standpoint it certainly was. Everything we ordered was excellent. The problems start with the service. We were literally the only family (5) there at 7am and it took forever to get our food. The internet here is pretty great with 180 ping, 20 down and 4 up. Brace your ears when you walk into the bathroom because they’re blasting the music in there.

Sunday 8 am breakfast crew:
Excellent friendly service.
Delicious warm Swedish crepes.
Crispy bacon.
Perfectly cooked eggs.
Coffee, on the acidic side (otherwise, would have given a 5.
Arrive early, can get busy on weekends.

Service: literally the worst. I still remember my server’s name which is Cora. I and my husband had her serve us two times including today and she was unbelievably rude every time. I don’t even want to bother explaining how rude she was because I don’t care for this restaurant anymore due to her extreme rudeness. Other servers had been nice but this lady made it hard for me to believe that she has not been fired yet.
Food: Decent. But when they are busy they seem to undercook the food most of the time.
Will I go back?: Why would I when I have Denny’s a couple of blocks away from here?

I have the slightest idea how this place is still open with the unprofessional, immature and rude staff. I have only been to the place twice since living in College Park and both times HORRIBLE. Calbert and Shaquita are simply the worse… It took every thing in me not to curse them out however, I did not want to stoop to their level… I wanted to place a to go order Calbert literally walks away and never comes back. After 10 minutes of waiting Shaquita takes my order, my second encounter with her… Just RUDE, I work in hospitality management and I cannot fathom treating guests as poorly as they treat their customers. That was MY FINAL time ever PLEASE DO not patronize this place PLEASE. I am only giving one star because I have to

The service is good. I esp like the pancake and omelet with syrup. Also, it’s inexpensive at all. Some vegetarian things make this place special

the servers were very nice and professional. When my food came out it was still hot, and most of all the restaurant is well kept. I recommend this IHOP

I was extremely happy with my recent visit to the college park IHOP. Immediately upon entering the doors I was greeted by a server with two menus in hand for my boyfriend I. It was almost as if they had been waiting on us. The service was great! They really made sure we were comfortable and I appreciate that. The food came in decent timing. The food was so fresh. I was very satisfied with my visit.

Worst ever. We waited 90 minutes without even seeing our food. The waiter said there was a computer problem, but after he put the order in again we waited for another 30 minutes and it was still not ready! Whats even worse was the cleaning waitress was so rude that she asked us to pass the bottles and sugar bags as if she was the customer and we were serving.
We left without eating anything. Dont waste your time here.
