What a great place to stop for some much needed ice cream on a hot day! Top shelf ice cream, specialty flavors and a great location overlooking the Hudson.

I went there with my friends. Terrible experience. Very BAD. 1st, I want to try one of the ice scream like other customers, but the first girl did not listen or have any reactions; 2nd time i am the first one in line. And trying to order, but the second girl just ignore me and asked the guy behind me to order. So I just refuse to order anything from them. They need to improve their attitude.

Scoops are large!!! Plan to share or have an empty stomach. Very creamy options, hence the name Creamery. But they had good flavors. Line are out the door but they’re fast and you can definitely taste a few before you order. Perfect to enjoy the scoop by the water, just a short walk from the store.

Really good milkshakes. Next time we. come in town we will try just the ice cream. This place gets super packed. When we walked in there was no one 5mins later there was line out the door. It’s nice to see such a demand.

I wasn’t sure if this place would live up to the hype especially because I’m a total weirdo who’s not a fan of ice cream. I will have ice cream every once in a while if it’s combined with with a warm chocolate dessert but besides that I don’t eat ice cream. The ice cream place is right across a beautiful picturesque park overlooking the Hudson. There was a line to even get into the store but everyone was in a good mood and the line moved quickly. I was just happy once we got inside with the air conditioning, the shop is super cute and they have these really amazing photographs of adorable kids eating ice cream. They have a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from but once I saw cake batter option I immediately decided to go with that! I kinda regret not trying a sample of the other flavors to compare them. Once I saw how the huge the servings were I went with one scoop of cake batter on a waffle cone. The portions here are huge so one scoop seems like 3 scoops! This was the best ice cream I’ve ever had! It was so creamy and delicious, I was stuffed but kept on eating it because it was soo good. If all ice cream tasted like this I would become a fan. If you visit this town make sure you taste this ice cream!

After a nice long hike, this ice cream was everything you could ask for. I got the maple bacon and cherry vanilla and it was amazing. Fresh cherries, pieces of smoky bacon. these flavors were incredible. I would actually come take the MetroNorth to Cold Spring just for this ice cream — it was magical and delicious! OH, and they give mega ginormous scoops so I’d recommend getting a waffle cone!

Best Icecream in NYS. It’s a little far from the city but the ride is TOTALLYWORTH it. Icecream is not expensive at all considering how generous are the SUPERBIG portions. Just like their name, LOVED how creamy their ice creams are. I had Oreo but also tried vanilla and some strawberry«something» flavor; ALL of them were delicious! Definitely recommend this place to all the ice cream lovers out there. I can assure you wont regret coming by! Come by during summer time, there’s a beautiful park on the Hudson River in front of the store, very cozy and romantic as well. High &5 Stars! Definitely planning on coming back during Summer!

$ 5.99 for three scoops of Heaven is worth it! Too it off with whip cream and sprinkles then off to food coma. We had the scoops of Mexico chocolate, nilla wafer, and tiramisu. Every bite was heaven. The shop is cute with limited seating. If you go to the bathroom, you will be moo’d at… Check it out for yourself.

I got two scoops on a cone and they were very generous with it! There’s only a few ice cream spots I saw when I went to Cold Springs and this one caught my eye the most since it’s right by the water. It gets really packed mid-afternoon so we had to wait in line for a while but it was definitely worth the wait. Service was okay, although. We were being helped by a guy, told him our order and he told us to hold on and started handling other business with another customer who I guess had to pick up an order? But then he also started doing phone calls and running back & forth to the back. Other employees asked if we were being helped and my bf and I said yes because we assumed he would come back soon but maybe 8 – 10 minutes later everyone behind us started being helped that I ended up just asking another worker to help us. Eventually he came back to us but we were already being helped. It wasn’t the biggest deal since I understand it was really busy that day. Nonetheless ice cream was great

Moo Moo’s has a killer location in an historic building at the edge of Cold Spring with a stunning view of the Hudson River, unfortunately, nothing else about the experience was stellar. First the young man assisting us after we waited in line persisted for some time with a single scoop cup although we repeatedly clarified that we wanted a three scoop, and then the scoops of ice cream we were served were of indeterminate and undistinguished flavor and texture(since there are no visible labels on the containers in the freezer case it wasn’t entirely possible to know which is which!). We know we did get the peppermint we ordered, but if it really was the Mexican Chocolate it tasted neither Mexican nor chocolaty and the supposedly caramel cashew was lacking on both accounts. This is a basic cones and cups establishment, not a full-scale ice cream parlor making fresh shakes and specialty sundaes. There are steps to get up to the front door and as others have noted, the shop has no seating inside and very few spots on their porch, although fortunately on a beautiful day the town benches by the water make up for that, whether or not you bother with the ice cream!

Scouted this place out after a long day hiking. This place seems to be hidden in a corner. On arrival the décor is pretty cute and Moo-ey. As pumpkin was in season I went with that flavor. The pumpkin flavor ice cream was yummy! Every lick of my ice cream was creamy and soft. As there was little to no seating inside the store there was plenty outside by the lake. Enjoying a great ice cream and watching the water. It was relaxing.

I visited this ice cream shop with friends on a hot summer day after several hours of ecploring the town. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. Moo Moo seemed more like a tourist trap then a small town gem. SERVICE When my friends and I arrived, there was a line of at least 30 people, who looked like they’re not from Cold Springs. 30 tourists? Am I back in NYC? I had to do a double take. Typically a business with a ton of tourists means its not authentic as it caters to the tastes of outsiders. 20 minutes later, my friends and I were inside. I noticed that the staff was patient with all of the customers as they explained the flavors and allowed them to try them. But, due to the long line of people after me, I felt rushed and I didnt sample the flavors I was eyeing. FACILITY The shop is like any other cute ice cream shop in a suburban town. There’s no seating in or outside of the eatery. So, my friends ate our ice cream at a nearby park by the water. Typically, Im cool with that because you can’t beat munching on ice cream by a water front. However, the park has limited seating. So my friends and I had to sit by the side of the road to eat our ice cream. I wish there was seating in or outside of the restaurant. Then we wouldn’t have to sit in the gutter. FOOD I didn’t think that the ice cream was very special. They offer dozens of flavors, but most of the flavors seemed pretty ordinary. Less than a handful were unique. Some were even already run out. That’s weird! Its not even close to closing time. I found that to be poor management. They should offer fewer flavors perhaps to ensure they’re always in stock.

Perfect way to end off the afternoon day tripping in Cold Spring, NY. They stay open pretty late compared to the other ice cream shops in town. Usually until 9:30pm. Sure, the staff are a bunch of high school kids, but when we were there they were more than friendly and helpful. C’mon people, when you were in high school making minimum wage you were a bit confused and not all that focused either. Some reviewing and giving tips on the staff need to lighten up and get over yourselves. The ice cream is terrific! It was so worth taking a walk over to this place before heading to the train station for the ride home. Seemed like 17 or so flavors made daily each day, and after sampling a bunch was torn over which ones to feast on. They were all so good! We went with cherry vanilla and salted caramel. Just wow. It’s a small place with some spots to sit at inside and a few spots on the deck outside. You can also head across the street to eat it by the water for some great views. Both were just delish and super creamy! Really, the cherry vanilla is fantastic. Also, the serving size they give you is ridic and so much stuffed on a cone! Great value for the price and way worth it. After the initial sugar rush I passed out on the train ride back to the city. Oh, and they also offer an option to get a bucket sized serving. Next visit I just might have to accept that challenge…

The only redeeming food item on this drive to Cold Spring, NY! Moo Moo’s Creamery is located by the water and as others have written, typically has a long line. The staff are super young, which is why I think people have likely complained about the service and the attitudes. What would you expect from high school kids who think they’re the ish serving ice cream at the best place in town? Didn’t faze me one bit, and they had some cool flavors. I went for the mint fudge oreo, but there was also a colorful cake batter, dulce de leche, strawberry oreo and the pistachio was also very tasty. One giant scoop for $ 4.53(includes tax) is more than enough if you’re in need of a sweet, cold treat. I’d definitely recommend the ice cream here, and I was lucky enough to miss the line entirely. My aunt, who walked in literally 30 seconds behind me, was stuck waiting with the mob of people who came in with her. Tough breaks. Grab yourself a waffle cone and try the ice cream here.

For those finishing the Breakneck Ridge Trail, Moo Moo’s Creamery is in an ideal location.(OMG. Let’s be real– knowing that ice cream was waiting for me at the end of that hike helped me get through it!) The young staff was a bit confused, but it was understandable since it was pretty hectic in the small shop. Beyond the confusion, the ice cream was great. There are a number of delicious flavors to choose from– my Mexican Chocolate and Caramel Cashew were both excellent. Their ice cream is of the fluffy and airy type so eat fast before it melts! Prices are good for the size of the scoops, and the view of the Hudson River right outside makes it that much more enjoyable!

Excellent ice cream, BUT there’s almost always a line because they seem to be understaffed. Still, the ice cream is very good

Had some cash register issues initially but everything was figured out quickly! They allow samples and have some pretty unique flavors(i.e., Guinness Chocolate Pretzel!). Their flavors are on a board on top of the cash registers to the left of the store, FYI! Their portions are SUPER hearty, especially for the price(less than $ 4 a scoop). One of my friends placed her order, saw the girl begin to scoop up ice cream into our cone, and had to say«Oh, I only ordered 1 scoop.» The girl laughed and said that it was actually a single scoop! We’re talking the equivalent of 3 scoops in any other ice cream shop! They were accommodating with our request to put our ice cream in cups with a cone on top and were very friendly. Happy all around! P. S. — they have bathrooms! Super clean, too!

Perfect after hike reward. The lines are really long, but the wait is bearable. The scoops are huge. You can get two flavors in one scoop, but make sure the person hears correctly. It seems like it’s mostly run by high school students. The person who was helping me wasn’t listening and gave me two scoops of each flavor instead, so I had to pay more than I wanted to. I tried two flavors. The Caramel Cashew is vanilla ice cream with swirls of caramel and studded with cashew. It wasn’t too sweet. I also tried the Chocolate Chunk which is chocolate ice cream with delicious chunks of cherries. This was my favorite of the two. Definitely stop by, especially after hiking Breakneck. Bring some cash. They have a $ 5 minimum for card.

I went on a brutal hike yesterday. And if it wasn’t for this ice cream shop, I might have not had the sugar high energy to get me to the almost tippy top of Breakneck Ridge!!! 3 of of 4 us all had a «scoop» of ice cream before making the climb. 2 of four of us decided on the«Guiness Chocolate Covered Pretzels». So 2 of us made the perfect ice cream decision. I love Guiness and I especially love the salty sweet combo in desserts. Sometimes you just need that salt to cut into the sweetness. And the chocolate covered pretzels were the perfect touch to the ice cream. I also want to point out the spot is super cute, the staff is made up of adorable teenage townies and the single scoop is absolutely gigantic and a little less than 4 bones. Don’t forget to stop by here before or after hike or if you live in town! Happy Ice Cream Licking Season Everyone!
