After spending $ 80 for lunch we left extremely unsatisfied. Never I repeat NEVER order chicken teriyaki entrée!!! We ordered two because who the hell can go wrong with chicken teriyaki??? Omg disgusting! The salad and miso that comes with it is somewhat edible(husband took one bite) but the rice was dry, chicken was smelly. Shrimp tempura is ok tastes like fried dough, seaweed salad was good, seafood salad was ok. Second time here and will not return!

I’ve tried to like Feng Shui. I’ve made excuses for the food time after time but it comes down to a few negative things: the Chinese food is greasy. I’m all for hangover-killing, Saturday night greasy Chinese food but this is too much. The fried rice is always full of oil and clumped in blocks after refrigeration. The boneless spareribs are good when they’re fresh & hot but the next day– a block of solid fat. The last straw was a few nights ago, we ordered takeout including a half Peking Duck and it was next to inedible. What a waste. I think the duck had been dunked in fat prior to packing it up to re-warm it before packing and the skin was awful. Crispy but icky with oil. Even the duck meat was tasteless and unappetizing, and a small portion as well for half a duck compared to other local restaurants. The Japanese side of the menu has always been more pleasing to me, as the fish is fresh and a good selection. But the portion size is as small as they can make it and still get away with charging what they do. Sushi is a bite, no more, cut about an inch long. I love a sushi Chirashi plate, and the selection of fish is delicious, just cut too small. Barely any vinegar on the rice as well. The sashimi and sushi alike is skinchy — it all seems fresh though, so that’s positive. With all the other choices locally, I just can’t see going back again and paying premium prices for less than premium food, especially after the most recent order,

First off, I have been to Feng Shui quite a few times since moving to the south shore, I’ve always considered it to be basic Chinese food. When my fiancée and I went out to dinner and were not served drinks due to our out of state IDs. Good luck once summer comes with family’s coming in from out of state. The salad I received was doused in dressing, no plating presentation at all — it looks like it was just plopped on a plate. The entrée was just your typical, run of the mill Chinese food, expect slimy with oil. Not sure I’ll eat there again.

If you could combine the Chinese or pan Asian foods with Mickie D’s it might give you an idea of Feng Shui. First I need to be honest and say a lot of people seem to like Feng Shui. Having said that after living in NY, San Fran, Chicago, LA, etc I am not one of them. I have also had the privilege of working and visiting Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzen and Hong Kong where every meal was a blast so I am confident I know what real versus«white guy» Chinese is. Also lived in Japan and lived /worked in NYC East 40’s and 50’s where there are real Japanese places full of ex pats enjoying some home cooking. Same fir Thai and Vietnamese food. Feng Shui purports to be capable of all these distinct cuisines and only succeeds if you consider aforementioned Mickie D ‘s the height of the hamburger. The presence of water chestnuts dies not in itself constitute real Chinese food. Go to Quincy first choice where local communities deliver the real thing. Boston has eastern in china town of you like ok dim sum. Just don’t go to Feng Shui!

Are you kidding me?! Wickety-wak poorly conceived«asian cusine». They are to Asian food what Papa-Ginos is to Italian. No competition from real restaurants. Mushy flavorless & overpriced. Go to Quincy for better options or really respect your tastebuds & get out of the ‘burbs & hit up Chinatown. You’ll be glad you didn’t settle. Just sayin’…

This rating is based solely on the lunch buffet(sorry haven’t tried the Sunday night buffet; it has more seafood and twice the price). We been here numerous times to eat. The food is consistent, tasty, and freshly made as it runs out. This our go to spot for the lunch buffet. BUT, our only gripe is that we see contractors(plumbers, landscapers, etc.) going to the line and not washing their hands prior to heading to it and helping themselves. Also, the common people do as well(I was a care giver to a cancer patient). UGH… ONLYSUGGESTION — BRINGHANDSANITIZERORWASHYOURHANDSAFTERGETTINGFOODANDBEFOREEATINGIT. It would get a 5 star rating if the food would change periodically(at the buffet) and the host and servers would be genuinely nice and friendly to see you. Such a shame, they have so much potential.

I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about. I went with my son for sushi and found a clean restaurant, attentive staff, and great food. Service was fast too. We had sushi rolls and will definitely be returning!

Serviceable lunch buffet but dinner dishes are suburban Chinese slop. Had a «must try» Szechuan shrimp and scallop dish tonight, came in a nasty brown sauce(you know, «the» generic Chinese brown sauce) with not a hint of spice or Szechuan. Service was slow we went long periods without seeing wait staff.

3.5 stars really. It’s the best Chinese take out in the cohasset Scituate area. I always get the general goa which is good. It’s not the best, but I’ve had many worse than that. Good size portions. Fair pricing. The lunch buffet is 5 stars though. It’s all you can eat including sushi for $ 10. Can’t beat that with a stick!

It’s a mix bag. I’ve been there several times tried different things non of them give a lasting impression except for one… please DONOT order the teriyaki chicken unless you love the worst dried out chicken ev’a! Truly I sent it back and after 20 mins got the exact same dish. Not sure if it’s the way they cut it but save yourself!

My family and I are from Cohasset and have been frequenting this restaurant since they opened. There was a time(many years ago) that we would have happily given a five star review for Feng Shui. Unfortunately the longer they have been in business the worse they have become. The food is now sub-par, the service is horrible and the management is even worse. My most recent experience will be my very last. It was a Saturday night in August 2105, we had just finished seeing a show at the famous South Shore Music Circus. We arrived at Feng Shui at 10:25 p.m. The manager seated us and as he handed us the menus he said, «We close 10:45.» I said, «Oh, it’s almost 10:30.» He said, «You leave at 10:45.» At first I though he was kidding, but he was very serious, and rude in fact! He expected us to order and eat our meal in 15 minutes! I told him that was not enough time. He told us to leave! I am very disappointed that what use to be the best Chinese restaurant on the south shore has turned into a dining nightmare!

I used to come here often but over time the quality and taste has drastically deteriorated. Today I arrived at 11:45 am for the lunch buffet and virtually everything was empty and no one was in a hurry to replenish it. The orange chicken was drowned in sauce and the other dishes with a sauce base were way to soupy. I wish someone would wake-up and build another Chinese restaurant on 3A. It wouldn’t take much to put this place out of business!

If you have no idea what great Chinese food tastes like, this is the place for you. Sushi fish was ok, not great – the rolls looked like a child made them. Clearly this place survives because there aren’t other options.

Had good experiences here until I saw a manager in the dining room telling an older woman to «get the @&$! Out of here» over a 10 dollar coupon she had, which she wanted to use instead of the 5 $ one she had. She wasn’t yelling or being one of those people, he obviously forgot what a customer is; and with the place close to empty that day, not a good idea. I gave 2 because the food is pretty good, and I don’t want to slam the place. Anyway scituate china gourmet just opened and has superior food, no sushi, but the Chinese is excellent.

Wow, what awful customer service. From the phone order to the pick up; rude, rude, rude! Food is good and ready on time, but wow. I was barked at, and then thrown my bill, which did not warrant a tip, but I was greeted with a scowl when I did not tip the poor customer service.

This rather expensive place apparently charges per minute depending on how long you will wait for to go food. Spent $ 40 to wait 40 minutes for a sushi roll and lo mein, absolutely insane. Save your time, money and sanity and go somewhere else, anywhere else.

Decent food but horrible service. Gave my takeout order to someone else. I didn’t find out until after I had been waiting for 10 minutes while they kept telling me it would be right out. Finally got order 1 hour after I ordered it. These guys screw up at least one order from us every 4 – 6 months. At least they are consistent.

I want so much to like Feng Shui as it is literally just down the street from me, BUT… I still lament the loss of Koko Island. I keep trying but I am disappointed every time. I am finally throwing in the towel on this one. I think that the only thing they do well is crab rangoon, and is that even Chinese? For whatever reason I have a serious weakness for egg rolls, heck, I even used to eat the ones at the Blue Hills Drive-In in my youth. Every time I order them at Feng Shui, I literally have to squeeze the grease out of them in a paper towel before I eat them and I vow that I will never go back there again. I do finally mean it, I am done. Any suggestions on a decent Chinese restaurant within a 15 – 20 min drive of Cohasset???

Amending a previous review. Indeed, La Dalat is more upscale, but now has price parity with Feng Shui — while exceeding it greatly in quality and service. It is also not great for those who need gluten-free dining. While Asian cuisine is better for GF options overall, I agree that Feng Shui does not specifically cater to this, so buyer beware. But I have dined there dozens of times without concern, and I am allergic to wheat and tree nuts.
