Bru’s Room Sports Grill

Eat lunch regularly and always love the burger or the Buffalo Chicken Salad! Yum! They have outdoor dock seating on a lake, which is nice. Not just a sports bar!

Cold overcooked mahi, old tasting fries, and a waiter that never cracked a smile, and rarely checked on us. never again

This place is going downhill. I’m on a low-​carb diet and their chicken fajita salad was the perfect meal. It was on their weekday lunch specials and was a fantastic value until it was removed about 6 months ago.
I switched to the chicken fajitas (no tortillas, rice or beans). It was a couple bucks more but had lots of chicken and they would throw in extra veggies since I left the carbs out.
About a month ago I order it and find it was noticeably smaller. I would guess ¹⁄₃ smaller for the same price. When I mentioned it to my server she took 5 minutes to tell me how corporate is squeezing everything including what the employees eat. She had recently worked a 12 hour shift but was only given 1 meal.
I used to go weekly but they have dropped in my rotation which is unfortunate. I used to love that meal.

Yup, I give Brus Room a MEH!!! 2 stars for the new menu, I like that Brus will redesign and reinvent the menu and food on the menu. I took a chance at a pizza (sausage and bacon) — 8″. The first few slices were good but the dough was too «doughie and thick». The sauce was not flavorful. What happened to the days when Bru’s had excellent food especially the baked wings?

If you want poorly made drinks that take 20 minutes to get and then to wait another 35 minutes for your check… this is the place for you

I came here a few times with my friend trying to like it every time I go. But how does this place make money? Worst food I’ve ever actually eaten, and the price? I paid $ 12 for NACHOS? No offense, but I won’t come back

We were excited to stop in but we Ordered 2 soups and 2 entrée’s. Everything had to be sent back to the kitchen to be heated up… Everything came out cold to warm. The chicken wings are extremely dry. The service is good though.

Just picked up my takeout order of 25 wings and waffle fries. Not only was my order cold but we paid about $ 4 for about 6 waffle fries. Not happy at all. The order was taken by Hailey on a Sunday at about 1:33pm.

I think we may officially be done with Brus… Its been a while since we’ve been there… we used to go weekly but when things changed we stopped. I decided that it was time to see if they had pulled themselves back together. Unfortunately the first thing we tried to do was order a beer and found out that they had NO tap beer! Not off to a good start. Brus has always been my favorite place for wings so I was looking forward to them… unfortunately it appears that they’ve changed those too because they just were not the same. The server was super nice but service was extremely slow… and considering that we were the only table in the entire side of the restaurant this was annoying. So, what used to be our favorite weekly spot has officially moved to the no list… lack of beer, lack of real fountain drinks, lack of quality to their food, I’m surprised they are still in business.

I used to come to Bru’s with my dad all the time when I was a kid. I have so many memories of eating here (all of them involve sauce-​covered fingers), that it’s a wonder I can even write a review and stay objective.
Though the original location off Sample has closed, the franchise appears to have branched into several other locations around town.
This is a sports bar, and the pleasure of coming is in sipping beer and eating finger food while watching «the game». Bru’s does a fine job in recreating this atmosphere – but what’s a person like me – I don’t drink and don’t like sports – to enjoy?
WINGS.
Though almost obvious enough to not have to mention, I still feel obligated to do so. Their buffalo wings are worth your dollar, and probably some of the best in the area. When I was a kid, I considered them the ultimate wings. I was a little nervous to try them again after not coming for nearly 20 years. Though not as good as I had romanticized them to be, they still very much get the job done, and still grease up your fingers just as nicely.
The rest of the menu is filled with your choice of highly caloric, heart attack-​inducing guilty pleasures – in other words, standard bar food. In fact, I’d largely steer clear of their non-​wings food altogether. But Bru’s, how could I hate you? Please stay around for those times when I want to satisfy my wings fix.
If you’re here for the atmosphere, but prefer something quieter than a room full of beer-​chugging sports fans, this location actually has a pretty cool outdoor pier area that’s built over a lake.

This place has been going down hill for some time now. The menu has been depleted of many of the popular items and variety. The last straw came for me when the absolute BEST bartender that worked there was fired, and she wasn’t even working at the time. This person knew more about the hospitality industry than all the managers combined. She was disrespected by the manager and fired for enjoying herself and her friends (also now ex-​customers) as a customer. The reports I have tell me she was not being disruptive or disturbing. She was on her own time, and should have been treated as any other customer. I recommend that you BOYCOTT this place.

I have found out that not all Bru’s Room restaurants are the same. Sure, the menus all might be the same, but it’s the staff that can make or break the dining experience. I normally enjoy Bru’s Room, but this location is definitely not one of my favorites.
Sitting at a table in the bar, my friend and I ordered drinks and a few appetizers. My girlfriend ordered a glass of wine and she thought the price point was fair. I stuck to my usual water with lemon. The server forgot the lemon which is no big deal. Eventually she brought it out to me after I reminded her two times. I don’t understand why she couldn’t remember my lemon because she was not slammed with tables or anything. In fact, they were kind of empty.
We shared a small order of hot/​bbq wings. The hot bbq sauce is fantastic. Not overly spicy but still has a kick to it. This is the thing, we asked them to prepare the wings well done and extra wet. So naturally we were quite surprised that the wings hardly had any sauce on them. They got the well done part right, but forgot about making them wet. We ate them because we were hungry and they were good but certainly not how we ordered them. We asked for an extra cup of blue cheese and celery and our server forgot that too. After several minutes of waiting, we had to remind her to bring it to us.
I had a small salad with a vinaigrette dressing which I asked to have on the side. My salad was okay but really could have been a little fresher. I didn’t say anything and I just picked at it. My friend ordered a cup of chili with cheese and onions on top. Unfortunately the chili arrived semi warm and my friend requested a new cup since cold chili is not so good. I have to be truthful, sometimes I like cold food. I love cold pizza and I admit that I sometimes like cold Chinese food. I know, your probably saying YUCK right? I know, I know, I am weird, but it’s good! So anyway, the second time around, my friends chili was hot. She must of liked it because she ate it all.
We also shared the fish dip. I love fish dip and I was looking forward to ordering this all day. We sent it back immediately because it looked horrible, something was just off about it. Not looking to take any chances on getting sick, we didn’t have them bring us another order.
On two separate occasions I have ordered takeout from here. Not everything has been perfect, but not great either. This location is hit or miss. Sometimes good and sometimes not so good. I gave up on trying. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t give up on Bru’s Room, only this particular location.
I would like to see a stronger management team at this restaurant. Someone who can come in and give the staff some general direction. Time and time again, I have observed employees standing around and chit-​chatting. Yes, I understand the staff is young, but they are at work to do a job, not to socialize with one another. And for the cashier who was attempting to eat ribs while taking phone orders, that’s just wrong. Shame for the management who allows these shenanigans to go on. You never see this circus show at the other locations, so why here?
Unfortunately, I can not recommend this Bru’s Room. I work hard for my money and will not be spending anymore of it here, at least not for a long, long time.

Eating and a cockroach just on the table and the floor we just called the waitress and she just kill it and keep working like nothing happend. Terrible experiece and with my kids eating and watching was worst!

If you are looking for great hand breaded chicken tenders, look no further! The chicken tenders at brus are my absolute favorite and I try to go at least once a week to get them. They also have great drink specials and are very fairly priced. One my favorite places in south Florida!

I like Bru’s Room, we frequent the one close to my house pretty often.
We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children. Upon arrival, we ordered a pitcher of beer. As I was drinking out of one of the mugs, I cut my lip. Looking at the glass, it was chipped pretty badly. We waited a while for our server to come over, we told her the glass was chipped, she didn’t apologize, just took the glass back and brought a new one; a dirty one. She just dropped it and left, it wasn’t frosted, it was hot and dirty. We could not get her attention again, so someone at the table actually had to get up, go find her and request a new, cold, clean mug. She brought it to the table a few minutes later, again with no apology. The server’s overall demeanor was just negative and rude. If she had visited our table more frequently, we would have bought another pitcher or possibly 2.
The food on the other hand was excellent. The fried pickles were so good. I got a wedge salad, which was huge and loaded with bacon and dressing. My chicken philly was also very good.
It could have been just an off day, but if we do return to this location, I will be sure to not sit in this waitress’s section, she put a damper on the mood.

Gave this location another chance yesterday for college game day with friends. Our server in the outside bar area was Natalie a typical unmotivated so fla millenial. We ordered drinks and they were fine. Then we ordered food. I had the pulled pork sliders. Total dissapointment. A teaspoon of pork covered in cole slaw on a bland bun. And i had to request bbq sauce. Pulled pork without bbq sauce? Come on! My wifes flatbread sandwich was over balsamic’d and wet. Gross. The wings are their only decent item here. Sketchy crowd, trashy looking staff and by the way French’s ketchup at tables. Really? This ain’t Ohio Bob Bru. Heinz is what most prefer here bubba. Will stick to Duffy’s in the future.

Saturday 8÷8÷15 visit… welcomed by our waitress who when asked a question about the menu says «I don’t work here too often… and today is my last day…» hmmmm… uh nice attitude and we really don’t care we are here for lunch… that is of course if she can be bothered to help us. With the puss on her face and the ‘effort’ it took for her to refill our sodas a couple of times you’d think she was a day trader on Wall Street totally stressed out. Where to begin…3 adults and 2 kids. Kids don’t care they will eat anything as long as there is a game room next door (and that there is at Brus) so expect your kids to bug you for a million quarters but they will be SO happy. They were. Bonus… kids meals have a push pop at the end.
Now on to the adults. One ordered the «Cowboy Burger» …waitress said «What’s that?» our response… it’s on the specials board at the front when you walk in. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich ordered. Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla — sub grilled chicken for the tenders if you can…‘oh ok let me see if we can do that’ OK so they are able to do that — apparently. Clap clap.
Quesadilla was bizarre. Lettuce inside of a grilled chicken quesadilla, tomatoes, jalapenos inside as well — all hot temp which means it is soggy… and wilted. And buffalo sauce thrown on top so it looks like someone threw up on it. No sour cream with it… blue cheese dressing. I had one bite and was done. I did not sent it back or ask for a credit because I did not want to bother ‘last day girl gone’. Regular fries and not waffle fries like asked for.
It’s loud and fun for the kids who don’t want to eat anyway just run around. Nice location, lots of tvs… and its probably better in the bar than in the dining room where we sat.
Probably ALOT better if you are drinking at the bar instead of having soda! :) Enjoy!

I’m done with Bru’s. Not even the low priced doubles can keep me coming back. Servers at the outside seating are so sweet but the food has gone WAY downhill — watered down salad dressing, no brand name sodas («we don’t have Coke or Pepsi, it’s just cola»), frozen grilled chicken, French’s ketchup? Sorry Bru’s, you’ve lost a regular and my entire family due to new management or ownership and cheaping out on your food quality…

The overall restaurant is good but the «main reason» why I go their is for there «Specially Prepared» Chicken Wings that was suggested by our waitress many moons ago ~
~ The «Double Grilled and Extra Wet» ~ with Sweet & Spicy Sauce. This is a finger-​licking-​good culinary experience is worth going to check out. They are grilled to perfection, with that tangy/​sweet taste you can only get someone who take pride in their cooking.
The service is always pleasant and consistent and on occasion when we do have a inappropriate situation with either our food or service, management is always there to be sure that your dining experience will be a pleasure.
Definitely a good sport bar for those who like that atmosphere (inside and outside seating available) and they also have a separate dinning area for the more family orientated crowd.
