Great food. Great host. Great prices. Great atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my husband and son and we were glad we did. The falafel was the best we’ve ever had, there was a spicy dip that was amazing and the bread was piping hot. The server saw that my son ate the falafel and brought him a few more pieces on the house. This is a great addition to the area and very family friendly. I’m happy that they don’t start the hookah until after 9pm, smart decision in a family filled neighborhood.

Ordered from here last night, I am very confused by all the glowing reviews. I ordered the chicken shawarma. The chicken was rubbery and didn’t taste like real chicken. The pita was not fresh and definitely store bought. The hummus was way too salty. I didn’t even bother to eat my delivery. Needless to say I will not order from here again. Better off going to Fatoosh much better quality and cheaper.

Great spot. Delicious food. Service was okay. I just wish their hookah would be a all day thing not just after 9pm. But overall a great place to have lunch/dinner with friends or family.

Amazing food. Good prices and a nice host. Had the chicken kebab twice and it was amazing! A new gem, unfortunately not well known yet as its so new. Spread the word. Btw they start shisha after 9pm so if that bothers you come before :)

While wandering this area looking for food on my lunch break, I stumbled upon this place. With slight hesitation I decided to give thier chicken shawarma a try. It turned out to be superb, especially at that price. Definitely coming back to try other items.

I love Middle Eastern food, but I was disappointed with 2 of 6 items which was ordered for delivery, once they found out about my dissatisfaction they called me back and made it up! That was nice.

Ordered on and was very pleased. Food was delivered on time but best of all the food was great. The best Middle Eastern food in the neighborhood. The grilled lamb chops were flavorful and juicy. The salad, grape leaves, moussaka and hummus was very fresh and tasty. Next time, I will have to try the restaurant as the delivery menu was limited.

We just discovered this restaurant that recently opened and are thrilled with our discovery. The food was excellent and the prices can’t be beat. The kababs were tender and delicious. The whole grilled orato and bronzini fish were fantastic! This is by far the best deal in the neighborhood. Already looking forward to our next meal there.

Really charming place with great service and wonderful food. Try the spicy Sultan Dip; it and EVERYTHING else was delicious. Apricot pudding and mint tea for dessert!

Just ate here for the first time and it was terrific. Food is incredibly fresh and well-seasoned, the owner is super-friendly, and the décor is perfect. I’ll definitely be coming again and again. Such a boon to the neighborhood!

The first thing you notice about Sultan is its beautiful red décor — it has the best signage on Atlantic Ave, and the interior matches it in style and atmosphere. Initially I thought it was mainly a hookah bar, but it turns out the hookah only comes out after 9pm, which is great if you’re mostly interested in dinner, like me. Speaking of dinner, the food here was excellent. My wife and I ordered the combination meat platter, which comes with perfect hummus and saffron rice. The meats in the platter were all different and satisfying — my favorite was the lamb chop, which I will order as an entrée next time I go. In a neighborhood with lots of excellent Middle Eastern options, this place stands out — give it a whirl!

Went here with some girlfriends for snacks and shisha. Lentil soup and hummus both delicious. The shisha was quality and lasted several hours. The owner was friendly and attentive, and clearly has a lot of pride in his restaurant. Great find!

Chicken gyro or chicken shwarma? Decisions decisions, which is my favorite… BOTH! And the spinach pie rules. Oopsie, last time I said the meat pie was super, but can’t I have two favorites? Seriously, Sultan lives up to it’s name. The owner is part hawk, part mother hen meaning everything is done just right. And if it isn’t, you forgive because it’s all done with heart. BYOB means dinner won’t empty your wallet.

Wanted to try this new spot in the neighborhood. We both ordered lentil soup which was tasty but watery. Shared the eggplant which was quite good. The mint tea was mediocre and $ 3 a glass. In general, a little pricey. Not rushing back, especially in this neighborhood which has excellent restaurants everywhere.

So impressed with this restaurant, had to write something. I am literally Unilocaling as I am eating! Couldn’t wait. The restaurant is long and narrow with an extremely red décor. I mean red everywhere:). But it’s nice. It’s not gaudy. It will eventually become gaudy if not kept up with. But right now it’s nice. Music is nice in the background– super middle eastern. The whole place is middle eastern. They have Turkish coffe and chicken shawarma.(Cheap too). A whole platter for 11 $. Their teas are very good. They have hookah too but they are not obnoxious about it. Very good food. Best Tahini I’ve ever had. Every platter comes with pita and sauces on the side. A platter comes with rice, meat of choice, salad and humus. Owners are super nice and accommodating. I don’t come to this area often but I will definitely come back for this restaurant !!!

Great new addition to the neighborhood. Excellent prices and very very nice service. We tried the moussaka, lentils soup(amazing) and shish kebab. We also tried the baklava, we are definitely going back. Only down side the bread, not home made.
