The food is pretty good, rice and beans have a great flavor but not amazing. They deserve a high rating due to the fact that they have thick homemade flour tortillas, which I think makes any Mexican dish taste that much better. I’ve tried the Posole, chicken fajitas and chilie verde bruttio and all taste great. Customer service is quick and my friend loves the margaritas here. Pro: if it’s your first time here try the flour tortillas.

Outstanding food! The homemade flour tortillas are the best I have ever had and this comes from a Hispanic whom had a mother that made tortillas at home growing up! Ten times better then Bobby Salazar’s next door!

Seriously the most amazing carnitas and chili verde I have ever had. Tortillas are fantastic as well. Everything made in house and staff is very friendly. Wish I lived in town and could come more often.

Oh! Why do people nag about the parking in downtown Clovis? Ya’ll have the best places to dine! Like this fabulous Mexican restaurant. Yumm! You walk into a very clean quant dinning area. The server was delightful and helpful. My friends I was having dinner with were saying wow this place is so close to another Mexican restaurant. Well… This is true, but there is absolutely no comparison. Salsas has their own style and favors! Still traditional but full of flavor oh! Best part is the homemade tortillas! So go check it out for yourself and don’t hesitate to tell the owner hi! She is a awesome person! Very friendly and personable she will make you feel at home!

Salsa’s is an awesome spot in Clovis and a must try for all Mexican food fans! The chips and salsa are delicious, the salsa has great flavor and the perfect amount of spivey bite. The burritos are big and tasty, the homemade tortilla is the only way to go. My girlfriend loves the taco salads that come in a large, crispy shell. I recently tried the steak stuffed empanadas and they were fantastic. The service is also exemplary, the owner is a personable and genuine woman and will make you feel at home. Overall a great restaurant and one of my favorites for Clovis!

We were on a trip to Fresno from Seattle and found this place on Unilocal with decent reviews and after eating here, I think this place is a 5 star! AMAZING!!! The food is awesome, the homemade tortillas are SO good and the staff is incredible. Everyone was so friendly and paid such close attention to us. The food was some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend it if you want great service and awesome food!

Great find! Food was awesome as were the homemade tortillas. Very satisfied with the food and service. They also do takeout orders if you are in a rush or just want to pick something up during your lunch hour.

When we lived in the area we would come to this place on a regular basis enjoying the flour tortillas chile verde and chile rellenos. Now that we are out of town, I sincerely Miss the chile rellenos de res. The handmade flour tortillas remind me of growing up with my grandparents. From the time my children were little, we would come here and be greeted by Jesse and Letty. Now that they’re grown they can enjoy the awesome Taste of authentic homemade Latino food. Keep it up.

This was my 2nd time here, decided to bring my lovely family along. I really wanted some hot soup since it’s cold and wet outside. I had seen a picture of the Albondiga soup they serve and decided that was exactly what I needed. The servers greeted us right away with a friendly smile and 2 minutes later we were seated. They weren’t extremely busy but there was a good amount of tables taken. They took our drink orders right away and brought us chips and salsa. Took about 10 minutes to bring out our drinks though. Shortly after the drinks they took our order. Food came out hot and delicious. That Albondiga soup? AMAZING! The bowl is huge it was filled to the top. Inside there was zucchini potatoes carrots and of course the meat balls. They brought out sides like rice and a cabbage/cilantro mix with a side a lemon. I put everything in the soup. It was soooo yummy! Oh my god. Seriously, I can’t stop thinking about it. The soup also came with homemade tortillas of your choice. The food was very satisfying. Overall the service was pretty good, it could have been better. I say that because our drinks ran out for a good 10 minutes and no one came to refill them even after we asked them, they forgot about it. Other than that everything was perfect. Will be coming back for that soup tho!!!

They were super busy. People were standing around, waiting for a table for forever it seemed. It took them 30 min to take our order and took them a full hour to get the food to our table. Our plates were wrong when we received them and they almost gave another table’s orders to us. They were a mess, understaffed, and food wasn’t good(how do you mess up street tacos?!) and the drinks were weak. Don’t bother if they are busy! Not worth a 3 hour meal and the frustration. Try House of Juju(in the Salsa’s old location) They know how to deal with a busy crowd. And the food is WAY better. Is there such thing as a half star on here?

Great chips and salsa! Grabbed dinner here last night with my nephew and his lovely wife and cute little creatures, Ellie and little Wagner. After waiting a bit to be seated, we were finally given a table and were on our way to dinner. Wait… not quite. Well, about 35 minutes later, four baskets of chips and three servers, we finally ordered. In their defense, they did have a couple holiday parities happening. And, I was again with family I don’t get to see all that often so… or really wasn’t a big deal. Plus, they kept those amazing chips and salsa a-coming. :) Diner finally came and it too was excellent. Even the rice and beans were packed full of flavor. You could tell they made their rice In a chicken stock — always a nice trick/idea if you ask me. I would definitely recommend this place and I would definitely return myself. Update Alert — update Alert… Just returned with my nephew and his family this evening. I’ve decided to upgrade Them to a 5-Star review — they deserve it. The food. As always, was very very good. Tonight however, the owner gave us a special treat! I’m sworn to take it to my grave, but let’s just say it was a very delicious surprise. That’s said, the food was amazing. Updated pics below.

Better be ready to shred some serious cheddar here, because their prices is higher than most other Mexican places in Fresno/Clovis(prepare to spend $ 12-$ 20 per person), YET if you’re serious for some good tasting Mexican food, this is the place to patron, because their Mexican food almost taste like the Mexican Mum I wished I had. I was mind blown by the interior, it has got to be the most beautiful looking Mexican restaurant I’ve seen yet in Fresno, and when Im referring to beautiful Im not referring to the table and chairs they are currently using probably bought at some auction selling tacky things from the 1970s and 1980s; Im rather referring to to the texture of the old style bricked up walls, the tall ceiling with wood work above my head, it felt very old western– I just wished the owners would add real nice dark wood tables closely reflecting their Mexican roots, those deep dark wood with those tiled tables glittered with Mexican eclectic art would have been more appropriate than those tacky table and chairs for the 70’s I had one order of Camarron Calliente $ 16.99 to go — it was basically Large Shrimp/Prawns cooked in a hot spicy red salsa sauce; the taste was a serious bomb ! The spiciness, tanginess, and mashup of flavor from onions and chilies really created a heavenly explosion in my mouth. I really love how the 8 jumbo pieces of shrimp was perfectly grilled and lightly cooked in the sauce, it had really nice flavors and it was juicy and plum a sign of perfectly cooked shrimp. The sides of refried beans and rice was a perfect compliment to this dish; the refried beans has got to be the best I’ve tasted so far and had great flavors of basic spice like cumin, it was perfectly mashed, the smoothness was similar to mash potatoes, yet it was denser because these were beans. The rice was seriously fluffy, and had great flavors from chilies and tomatoes that was cooked with it. The only complaint I have would be the lack of Salad or vegetable that comes with this pricey meal, it would have justified the price for me, if it came with salad too. The service was actually really good ! The server was friendly, smiled and was efficient. I ordered my to-go inside the restaurant and it was ready in less than 10 minutes, now thats efficiency. Although pricier than most Mexican restaurant this place is worth a is it for their homemade style Mexican food paired with such a gorgeous old western interior.

If you’re looking for homemade bomb flour tortillas, you found the right place. Thank you Unilocalers! They seriously taste like the ones my grandma used to make me. I asked the waitress and she confirmed that they use lard(don’t be grossed out) that’s how authentic tortillas as made. I always have the ‘Gordita” with a margarita. They make their own margarita juice and it’s seriously delicious. The prices are higher than most Mexican food places but the tortillas and Margaritas make it totally worth it. It’s my favorite Mexican food restaurant in town.

THE best Mexican I’ve had in a while – this is my new place(sorry, Casa Corona)! The ambiance is the industrial look that’s so popular, with brick walls and an open wood-beam ceiling. It’s a long room with a couple of skylights, dark metal chandeliers, and three TVs above the bar at the far end. The tablecloths are dark-red linen, with nicer wood-and-upholstered chairs. You can sit at high or low tables(two high tables are in window alcoves), or at the bar. The salsa is medium-chunky, fresh-made, and spicy. The chips are warm and not greasy, with little seasoning. The waitress, Joanna, continued bringing them out even as we finished eating our entrees and drinking our(perfectly-blended) margaritas. And let me tell you about those enchiladas! I got the grilled chicken, which is prepared in pieces with onion and pepper slices like fajitas. The sauce is nice and spicy, but they put on a thin layer, so it doesn’t overwhelm everything else. The beans are chunky, half-mashed, with good flavor. I think the rice is only flavored with oil; good texture. Joanna kept bringing out the drinks and checking in. Great service! All in all, excellent.
