If you are looking for traditional Americanized Mexican food, this place will not disappoint. It’s got your basics, such as fajitas, burritos, taco bowls, beans, and rice. I ordered the pork, which was nice and tender. Not super impressed with the food, but it wasn’t bad at all and you get a lot of it. The atmosphere is quirky with funky decorations on the wall. The front area is a bar and on the night we were there they had Karaōke going in that section. It was a bit loud, so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a nice place to talk.

Always one of my favorite places for Mexican food. I like to dine in(they make an amazing chimichunga) but, honestly, I go for the party platter. Taquitos, burritos and quesadillas with a huge shell full of guacamole in the middle. Yes, please! The food is always great and the service is always friendly and efficient. Can’t get much better than that.

Never again. Been here for over an hour and still have no food but the tables around me which arrived after my family did, all have finished their food and are leaving.

Went here for a birthday dinner & a table was reserved. The only thing good here was the bar but the service at dinner was HORRIBLE. I understand our party had a lot of people but the waiters took a long time to take our orders and then when we recorded our food we ordered water that never came until I started getting loud with the later about why our water didn’t come 20 mins later. Then my friend ordered Guac and Never got chips after she asked. She had to eat the crumbs of the chips we got when we sat down and then my enchilada was too salty. I probably would only go here to get drinks

The older manager with the pony tail was very rude, cold, and un inviting. She only seemed to be friendly to customers that were regulars and nobody else. The bartenders made up for her unfriendliness and the food was good but maybe you should tell her that a smile goes a long way for customers who don’t visit as often

Yeah I don’t know how people eat this stuff. I got chili relleno, rice & beans. First bite tastes of the grease. I find out there is some kind of meat on top. Waiter offered to get one without meat but I thought it would still have the greasy taste. I tried to eat the chili inside, where I didn’t find cheese, but the chili had the greasy taste too. I didn’t even care for the taste of the sauce on my husband’s enchilada. Rice and beans nothing special. The place 2DOORSDOWN has the best rice I think I have eaten in a Mexican restaurant. I have no idea how traditional it is, but I ate it all. I didn’t eat much here.

Great place! I have reserved a reservation for 35 people and we had a lot of our guest show on time but a few came really late and I already gave up our extra tables. But they worked with us and added chairs to our table, very nice, very understanding! I didn’t know the front desk girls name, but amazing staff! Our waiter was great! Joseph our bar tender amazing! I’m not a big drinker but he made some good drinks! My only complaint was there wasn’t enough menus at our table. We ended up having to pass a few menus around so our food wasn’t serviced all together because everyone was ordering at different times.

Very nice place wasn’t very busy tonight there are only maybe 5 of us here. Wasn’t sure about it because of how empty it was. I was greeted promptly, as well as seated right away. The staff was very attentive and really took care of me. The waitress was very friendly. The food was great

Horrible food. I can’t believe the positive reviews people have posted on this page. They probably don’t know what Mexican food or even gringo Mexican food is supposed to taste like. Short ribs were horrendous. Tasted like stewed meat in mole sauce which is not my thing. $ 13 for that mess. Fajitas were a serious disappointment. Fajitas are universally understood to be cuts of grilled meat and maybe some grilled/sautéed onions and peppers on the side. At Bobby’s it’s tons of random vegetables with random shavings of beef. We all thought they had brought out the wrong meal. Seriously the only good thing at this place is the chips and salsa. Other than that I will NEVER go here again

We’ve been coming here for years and can not believe the terrible service we received tonight. After waiting 30 minutes for someone to even help us we finally asked a server and she told us it would still be a few more minutes until we were helped. The hostess heard what was going on and felt bad and took our order. We had our hungry 2 year old with us and they could have cared less. For Mexican food that is not even that great the service should be outstanding.

Got to love the food at Bobby Salazar’s! We moved away from Clovis 14 years ago and upon return to visit friends, we had to visit our favorite Mexican food restaurant. We remember when the restaurant was Sal’s. Then it became Bobby Salazar’s. Regardless of the family member running the restaurants in the Fresno/Clovis area, the food is still just as great as we remembered it: snap! We moved to the east coast, where great Italian food and this pizza rules! But, there’s no Mexican food back east. If you call Chevy’s great Mexican food, you must be from back east. But, that’s like calling Taco Bell Mexican food, right? Back east in NJ, there’s Italian restaurant everywhere. And the food tastes great! And back east the only folks going to Olive Garden are the same who visit Taco Bell and think it represents Italian and Mexican food! These folks from the south, where everything is BBQ and comfort food. We Love Bobby Salazar’s food and last night they were also doing karaōke in the lounge! I love singing karaōke and I love great Mexican food. So last night was perfect! We will return. Hopefully sooner than 14 years! But whenever we return to Clovis, know that our mouths will be watering for great Mexican food and we will look for Bobby Salazar’s again.

I love this location! The staff is very attentive and the Manager is always friendly. There Guadalajara Shrimp appetizer is my favorite thing to order! It is bacon wrapped shrimp topped with tomatillo sauce and also a small side salad! Bar staff is always on point when we sit at the bar, our drink is never empty before we are asked if we want another round. If you like something yummy but not too sweet, try their specialty cocktail called Peachy Keen!

This was one of the first bars/restaurants that we came to when we moved to Clovis. Now we come mostly every week! They have great happy hour pricing and a variety of fun drinks. I always get the«cucumber cocktail» with extra salt, a drink I can not find anywhere else. Friday nights provide a fun atmosphere, with music and karaōke. The staff and bartenders are always welcoming. The food variety, and taste is just okay. That’s the reason for only the 4 stars. We usually eat elsewhere, then stop in after. I would surely recommend this place for the happy hour and bar area.

Love this place. You have a variety of options at a decent price and the wait is never too long when I visit. Be warned, the burritos are ginormous. You definitely won’t leave hungry. I normally order the«build your own burrito.» If you like salads I’d also highly recommend the mango avocado one during the summer. Bobbys is the only restaurant that can get it right. They also have karaōke nights which is fun for a night out with friends. I don’t get where all these negative reviews are coming from since I’ve never had a bad experience every time I visit. I have nothing negative to say therefore 5 stars in my book.

…slow service. Definitely a place where the staff loves to stand and talk to each other. Food is good. We eat here a lot. If you know how I review then you know food is #1 for me. Never been unhappy with my food. Staff is nice.

I’ve been visiting this location with my family since I was a kid and it was just a restaurant. My dad grew up in Selma and always talks about Sal’s and the Salazar family. The place and the people have changed and resembled nothing of the family run place I grew up with. I moved to SD and on my last trip home we all dropped it. I ordered the Fancy… still good! Miss the old place though.

Been here twice. Both times the employees were very nice. Drinks were good as well as the food! Tonight I got the fajita quesadilla-so big! But it was awesome. My friend got the shredded beef flauta that was good too. Would recommend this place if u wanted some casual Mexican food and some drinks.

I’ve been to this location several times. Not a bad place, large dining area with a good size bar. The food is always consistent, from the chips and salsa as you get seated, to the tacos, burritos, and fajitas. The rice and beans are typical here, greasy refried beans with cheese and tasty rice. My favorite thing here is their chili relleno, good texture and flavors, not too greasy. Check it out if you’re in the area.

Great service! Friendly staff and our food came out quick! Water is refilled often. The place is clean and spacious. I like coming to this Bobby Salazar.
