I cheated on sushi na cause I was desperate on a Sunday. It wasn’t worth it. Although we may have just done a bad job ordering? We had the vader roll, happy roll, and spicy green something? roll. The only one I liked was the happy roll. They all seemed small for the price. I’ll have to remember to sufficiently fulfill all sushi requirements mon-sat from now on.

Normally very pleased here with service and food. Last night we had a very poor hibachi chef and as a result food! Filet was way overcooked, shrimp was tough, and veggies were undercooked. He was unfriendly and no showmanship! Too bad. We had A party of 10 for my nephews birthday. Server was good though

My regular Udon dish. Jack is the head chef, but the other staffs rotates every couple of years. They just changed the wait staff recently, so I have to relearn new names again. This is the third incarnation of a Japanese restaurant here, but the most successful one. I have been here for about ten years now!

I loooove Mr Fuji! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Clifton Park and one of my favorite hibachi restaurants! The restaurant is neat and clean, staff is friendly, and food is delicious! What more could you want? Oh yeah, price and quantity! Well if that is important to you the you definitely found the right spot. The hibachi entrées include soup and salad, rice and noodles, veggies, 2 shrimp and your meat of choice. It is a ton of food and not badly priced at all. Tonight I had a salmon and calamari combo, my boyfriend had salmon and scallops, both entrées were around $ 25 and he left full(and trust me. that’s a feat because he can eat!) And I left full and with leftovers!(Also a major feat because he usually finishes my meal too!) So if you are looking for hibachi in the area I highly suggest Mr Fuji! I have been now a few times(most in my pre-yelp-addiction days) and I have yet to be disappointed!

This is the best sushi I’ve had in the area. You must try the spicy miso soup! The volcano roll is my favorite. Service and food are great! They need to open a Saratoga location.

Was in the area and wanted a later night snack. This places is open a little later than a lot of places. Went for some sushi. Accommodated my modified order. Good service.

Very good food and service! Prices are very reasonable for sushi and Japanese fare. The lunch combos are the best deals.

My friend and I recently moved to upstate NY from SC. There were really great Hibachi and sushi restaurants in the area so we were on the hunt for the same or better up here. We decided on here because of the ratings and the experience was so-so. The food was great! Some of the better Hibachi I’ve had. Nice portions and all. My friend got a dinner box and for the price her portions were amazing. The only thing I could complain about is the wait. Our waitress was not very competent and didn’t really check in on us. It seemed they were short staffed. HOWEVER, the managers and her coworkers quickly stepped in to right all wrongs. I’ll definitely come back here.

Tempura was great. Sushi good, although one piece per order was disappointing. Good amount of fish though. Service was very slow. Took 30 minutes to get a drink and our order in… Will go back and try again.

The hibachi is top notch! We love it because there’s an extra noodle course that isn’t at most hibachi restaurants. This is easily my kids’ favorite restaurant!

Mr. Fuji is amazing. Jack, the head sushi maker and owner is very friendly and is an expert of his craft. The sushi here is full of fish and not overdone with rice. The weekly specials are also usually delicious. Count on jack to come up with some interesting options such as jellyfish or oyster shooters! I come here often and the dinner portions are huge, you won’t go away hungry.

We eat here quite often and are never disappointed! The hibachi experience is great but we usually get a regular table and have sushi or another dish. We love the tempura, teriyaki, udon, spicy tuna roll, etc. This is our ‘go to’ place

My high school friends and I chose Mr. Fuji for our yearly Christmas lunch get together. We were looking for habatchi and Unilocal came to the rescue. For lunch they offer a few habatchi specials at a lunch price, but if you want the full show you pay the dinner price, but its is still offered at lunch which is nice, and a fair deal. We were seated and since the habatchi side was pretty empty we got our own private show. The habatchi chef was great, and although I am not very good at catching zucchini in my mouth we had a lot of fun. He did all the classics, the onion rings volcano, the wall of fire, and even though it was only 1pm we all got a generous shot of saki from the fountain the chef created with his squirt bottle. The habatchi includes soup and salad, two shrimp, rice, noodles, and the meat of your choice. Two of us got the shrimp and one the filet mignon. Starting off with the soup and salad the soup was about what you would expect, and had a nice flavor, and the salad was also pretty standard, but the dressing was great, a creamy ginger. I love the taste of habatchi cooked meat and vegetables and Mr. Fuji did not disappoint. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and my friend with the steak mentioned that is may have been one of the best steaks she ever had… habatchi flavors are just great. The rice and noodles were also tasty and perfectly cooked. We were served a few dipping sauces on the side including a honey mustard and a ginger. I really enjoyed our lunch experience here, and I would definitely come back again for the show, and they also have a whole side of the restaurant with a sushi bar, so it may be hard to chose.

Do you like raw fish? Does an open flame at the dinner table get your appetite going? Then come to Mr. Fuji Sushi & Hibachi! I came here for dinner on a Monday night, and only tried the hibachi, so I can’t speak to the other food. It was pretty standard; there were some flaming vegetables, food was thrown by the chef, and there was fried rice. The chef was friendly and efficient, and the food was cooked alright. In terms of the various hibachi’s I’ve tried, it was about average. The salmon was particularly tender and well seasoned(I think it was marinated in miso), and the steak was good. In general though, the food was a bit heavy on the soy sauce and tended to be on the salty side. Strangely enough, I found something about the ever so slightly charred fried rice very satisfying. All in all, not a bad experience. Will be returning in the future to try their sushi!

Excellent options for specialty rolls. Cool presentation and very fresh. Prices are extremely competitive and you can’t beat the two for one drinks on Thursdays. Great wine choices and martini menu! Very clean and modern design. Haven’t tried the hibachi yet, but plan to. We will be back!

Quality & fresh fish Quick & Prompt service from start to finish. Waiter was around when needed and didn’t watch us like a hawk. Appetizer: shumai — great temp and properly done Main Meal: Spicy tuna & dancing eel: Right amount of heat in the spicy tuna and the dancing eel was delicious My husband had the: Salmon bento box with miso soup. Salmon was overdone but everything else cooked perfectly. Dessert: Fried banana with Ice Cream. Banana wasn’t as sweet as it should be, maybe it was the temper it was fried in. Cost: $ 60(before tip) Overall, I will be returning on a regular basis and next time will try the hibachi side.

Last night was my first night eating at Mr. Fuji. Overall, I was pleased. FOOD: My girlfriend and I both ordered the Spicy Maki Combination which comes with three rolls(spicy tuna, spicy salmon, spicy California) as well as miso soup and salad. We also shared baby octopus as an appetizer. The octopus tasted fresh enough, and it’s a little sweet, so it’s not for everyone. The salad was okay, and the miso soup was also okay. I’ve had better of both, but these were acceptable. The rolls were made well and had an acceptable ratio of fish to rice. Everything here also tasted fresh. SERVICE: I can’t comment as to what the service is like here on a weekend, but for a Tuesday evening it was fine, albeit the place was relatively quiet. Our server was attentive and gave us drink refills before we had to ask for them. VALUE: For a sushi place the value is okay. I have been to cheaper places with the same quality sushi, but I don’t feel like this place is a complete ripoff. Our Spicy Maki Combinations were $ 15.00 each, which isn’t too bad. TL;DR = Good food, good service, somewhat reasonable prices.
