Danielle is the sweetest most awesome employee ever! And I love everyone that works here! This is the best icecream pace in florida! Keep calm buy icecream.

I felt as if they were racist. She served three people before me when I got to the window she told me she doesn’t have enough ice cream left and she needs to go home. Came all the way from Atlanta. Very disappointed !!

We pulled up while the open sign was still on, got the kids out of the car, and got behind a couple they had just finished serving. They quickly shut the glass and turned the open sign off. I stood there and the girl working opened the window long enough to say, «we just closed.» It’s a real shame. Dairy Kurl has been a yearly tradition for us when we come to Clearwater on vacation but we won’t be back after such a classless move. What poor, poor customer service.

We’re visiting from Ohio and were driving back to Orlando from the beach. This mom and pop shop caught our eye and we stopped. Everything we ordered was really good. We had a chocolate vanilla swirl sundae with pb and hot fudge sauce and Oreo topping. The vanilla peanut butter milkshake was also good.

Decent quality soft serve ice cream. Chocolate or vanilla out mixed. Impressive looking banana split. They send to have random policies that interferred with the enjoyment of my group. For example, they couldn’t put a topping on a cone. Ok. But they also wouldn’t put it in the side. Because, they don’t allow toppings on the side. They won’t let you get a cup of water. You have to buy a bottle of water. The lady was friendly, but the random polices weren’t customer friendly. Next time, we’ll go elsewhere.

The service and location tends to be the best points of going here, as for the coco /nilla swirl it melts before you get your car door open. Prefer Toppers on East bay for lack of melt before I leave the parking lot and flavor.

Been going to this place since I was a kid. It has been here forever so I am a little nostalgic towards it. I don’t live near here anymore, but the other day was heading to the beach and decided to stop by for a yummy ice cream cone. I medium swirl in a cone was $ 3.11!!! I am sorry, but that seems awful expensive for this little place. I used to recall them being pretty INEXPENSIVE! That was one thing that made them better than Dairy Queen which is right up the road!

Large selection of milkshakes! Located on busy Gulf to Bay, this little ice cream place is reminiscent of the 1970’s. maybe even 1950’s. In the style of Dairy Queen, there is no inside seating. Walk up to the counter window and place your order. The ice cream and shake menu is broad, offering the standard variety of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry as well as interesting options like peanut butter. After placing your order, there are picnic tables under cover where you can sit in the hot humid Florida weather and slurp down your fast melting frozen treat. On a recent occasion we stopped for milk shakes for the kids who order the standard flavors, two vanilla and one chocolate. The shakes were blended to the kids liking and provided the perfect amount of cold for instant brain freeze. I ordered a root beer float with chocolate ice cream. What I got was a root beer float with vanilla ice cream. There was a long line so I took my float and decided to live with the mix up, hey — mistakes happen. Overall this is an ok place, not my first pick for ice cream or a shake but a quick stop if you’re heading back from Clearwater Beach down Gulf to Bay.

I had to check this place out, which is three blocks from my house, well, first of all the prices for this so called big portion ice cream is high. When I order the regular size and they gave it to me, it looked like the kid size, cause I was comparing it to the kid size that had been order before me. The service was bad also. I won’t be returning. I will drive the extra couple miles to go to Toppers Creamy.

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Absolute best soft serve ice cream around. Maybe anywhere. I love dairy kurl and will always stop by when I’m in town!

This place reminds me of an old time Tastee-Freeze that my grandmother used take me to as a child to get ice cream. Every time I head to Clearwater I pass it and the memory of our tradition comes back so I had to stop. The only difference in the place my grandmother took me to and this place is Dairy Kurl only serves ice cream. The ice cream was ok but I thought it was a little expensive. That is until I saw a grandmother pull up with her young and very excited grandchild making memories of their own.

I love ice cream, but I love it better when it’s from a mom and pop shop! This is a walk-up window only. There were over 10 flavors just for Milkshakes!!! I love raspberry so that is what I ordered… unfortunately I got some blueberries in it too… someone needs a lesson on their berries! :) In any case, it was still SOYUMMY! The choc. vanilla swirl cone looks delightful too! It’s a great spot to stop on the way back to Tampa from the beach!

Paid for several toppings that were left off our sundaes. Had gotten items to go so we didn’t know until it was too late.

A nice cheap cone after leaving the beach. Although, I would not say its the best soft serve I’ve ever had. It was decent and hit the spot. Whatever size cone you normally order when you go for soft serve-go one size smaller. their portions are HUGE.

This tiny run down looking shack is so decrepit that I swore they were closed until I got closer and saw that they were still open. They only do soft serve ice cream but you can still get shakes and sundaes. I opted for a regular swirl on a cone, it was definitely high quality soft serve with a decent portion at a decent price.

If you’re looking for awesome soft serve, this is your stop. It doesn’t look very modern or up-to-date as mentioned in other reviews, but that’ll just tell you this place has been around and keeps on truckin’. I always go for the chocolate vanilla swirl. It’s fantastic!

I know it’s only ice cream, but it is part of our history. Chump building, potholes in the parking lot. New paint? Not. But check out that line. Axe for the chocolate with chocolate dip. Nice! Any questions?

best soft serve ice cream ever. i’ve been going here since i was about 4 years old. although i now live in Chicago, The Kurl is always a stop when i make it to Clearwater. nothing beats the classic mixed cone dipped in chocolate, but my other all-time fave is the chocolate peanut butter malt. plus, you can go here in your pajamas and you’ll probably be dressed better than half the patrons.
