Church’s Fried Chicken

I would never come back to this location ever again. I asked for a three piece dark chicken meal and they gave me only one dark piece. It was a twenty minute wait on the spicy chicken. The chicken didn’t taste like typical Churches chicken. The chicken was completely flavorless. I couldn’t even finish it and had to throw it away. Save yourself the disappointment.

Got 3 chicken strips, biscuit and corn on the cobb. Corn was the only hot item… chicken was cold and dry. Biscuit was tiny and mishaped… almost looked like somebody had eaten half of it. Wish somebody else ate the meal instead of me!

Let’s start with the ambience: very retro, I’m guessing it was built in the early 80’s, and nothing has ever been replaced or updated. I thought that the lady at the table who mumbled to herself, and wore pajama bottoms and a blanket was homeless at first, but she may have been related to one of the employees as she kept filling her water glass with soda and seemed to have a some sort of a relationship with one of them. The tables and chairs were full of leftover food, really gave it an authentic feeling.
I ordered the three piece chicken meal, yet I received chicken strips. They were edible, as was the fried okra. The biscuit was cold, but not awful.
I seem to remember Church’s being good when I was a kid, and I was excited to see one again. However, I’m going to have to say no, just no.

I like it. We’ve gotten food here at least five times in the last six months. Portions are good, chicken is fantastic. I have no food or service complaints, but I have seen a few people get pissed at them while I was in line. :) So there you have it…

Poor service! And even worse food! My southern style chicken sandwich looked like a large charcoal briquette on a bun. My wife’s chicken was dry, I took one bite and had to suck down a glass of water to help get it down. I will never go there again! More on the service, we ordered two meals, a chicken sandwich w/​fries and a drink and chicken tenders w/​fries and drink…30 minutes and 8 other customers served later we got our CRAP! Avoid this place like the plague!
