This place used to be authentic. Now, it’s just garden variety mediocre Mexican food. New owner and new recipes. Biggest disappointment has to be the tacos. They used to make their own tortillas. Now they use store bought nasty corn tortillas. Everything else has gone down hill as well. Now the taco truck across the street at LKQ is better. Kind of sad really.

Ok, so this place looks like a «keep on driving» location but don’t keep on driving… stop immediately and go get some of the best homemade Mexican you’ll find anywhere. It’s that good… Sandwiches are awesome made on homemade hoagie rolls, tacos are money, tortas amazing. Don’t be afraid go get ya some awesome food at this family run local spot.

This place was really great! Very authentic. I stop by for lunch break working in the area. I have never eaten there before, but I got tamales and tacos. Both were amazing! I definitely recommend stopping by for some tasty authentic food.

I love this little store. Many years ago, it was one of the(four?) Bobby’s Groceries in the area. The building is a rusty orange color out front, with small signs advertising tortillas by the side of the road. Excellent and authentic Mexican food here. This is the real deal. The tortas here are massive and outstanding. They’ll run you in the neighborhood of $ 7 – 8, but you get your money’s worth. Prepare to split with a friend. I prefer a torta milanesa. Tacos are delicious, usually served with onion and cilantro. La lengue, carne asada, chicken, al pastor: If you have a craving for authentic ingredients, you can get it here. Pupusas of pork and cheese are great, but they take a little while. You can’t rush these things. For garnish, you’ll generally get a few grilled leeks and a radish, along with some red cabbage slaw. Salsa verde and rojo are on the counter. Pick up a few containers to spice things up, and maybe grab some plantain chips and a mango nectar to wash things down. They also offer a fair selection of great Mexican beer, although I don’t know if they have a license to consume on site. So, if you want to sit at the counter and have a Negra Modelo(3 stools, not much room), you may want to clarify before ordering. Stop in, but be prepared to wait a bit if you go during lunch.

Totally authentic! The tacos were made fresh to order. The canitas and polllo were wonderful, full of flavor! Now, the building is sort of… interesting …old run down, and orange. It’s just a little party store. Nothing special. But the food… yummy. When I crave authentic tacos… this place is da bomb!
