Food was decent, cook was great. A bit pricey especially additional charges for rice. One of our children got sick and a server, who saw the incident, just walked away. The people at our table were great and helped a lot. None of the staff came over to assist. Very disappointed, we won’t be returning.

We haven’t had their habachi, but their sushi and sashimi is very good. It isn’t the best or thickest cuts I have seen, but it is fresh and good for the price. Their steamed rice is very tender and perfectly cooked and the rolls are a good size. My husband had their spicy seafood salad and I had a taste and it was delicious. If you want tasty sushi for a good price this is a good place.

The fried rice is about the only good thing this restaurant has going for it. Did not enjoy the sushi or over priced food. Also did not like how they charge for mayo and Sriracha mixed together. I can do that at home.

It’s over priced in my opinion. I paid $ 18 for 8 piece of salmon avocado sushi and a children’s dinner dish. no complaints on the taste besides very buttery fried rice. But over all good.

I only partake the sushi bar personally. Good place if you just want to drink beer and eat nigiri or rolls. Haven’t tried the hibachi grill however. The sushi isn’t the best you can get in town which is fine because it’s a relaxing place to just go drink and eat decently price sushi. The chef is friendly and awesome and will generally joke around with you while you drink your tall Asahi beer. Only reason it receives 3 stars is for the fact that there are better and more varied nigiri and rolls at other restaurants. Pros: friendly chef, good prices, alcohol, attentive waitresses. Cons: less variety or unavailable items on menu, will not let you drink in uniform, By no means is this place sub par just has some decent competition. As I said this is the place where you, or with some friends sit back, drink beer, have fun, and eat a lot of sushi. This place is third on my personal list of local sushi restaurants.

Yamato is good sushi at a reasonable price. It is only four stars because it is sometimes great, and sometimes only good. The staff are super friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the food is good. Great for a quick fix!
