Looking for a place that wasn’t fast food along the interstate is challenging, finding a place that my parents would agree to go to was even harder. This place is a god send. I had the gyro, my mom the chicken gyro meal, and my dad the Philly cheesesteak. Everything was fresh, made right in front of you and fantastic! We all finished our sandwiches and my dad even said it was good, high praise from someone who is picky. I could not stop eating my mom’s fries they were so good and I was so full I didn’t need to eat for another 5 hrs. I look forward to making this a stop on our next road trip.

The best Sam’s Greek Café in my opinion. The owner and his son are great. Yes, they give you the option to Americanize your food(cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce, French fries, etc) but you can also just get a traditional gyro as well as other options. Their falafel is the best I’ve found in town so far but a little pricey($ 0.79 per piece when we were there I believe).

I’m not sure why there were such good reviews. This was nothing like true Greek cuisine. Maybe I should’ve tried a Lebanese or Mediterranean restaurant but this wasn’t even close.

Polite and friendly people. Food was great, we did cheese steaks and salads. Wings have a natural spice to them.

Most of the time, in my opinion, slow food is better than fast. Except in the case of Greek food. The first Greek place I ever went to — the first Greek food I ever had — was in Greektown in Chicago about 40 years ago. Friends were telling me it was a blast, and I had to have spanakopita. And radio station WLS was playing ads for a couple of Greektown restaurants. One of them had some cheerful fella shouting, «Opa!» after apparently lighting a luscious, sizzly order of saganaki. It was funny to hear«Killing Me Softly with His Song» and then an accordion playing some Greek folk tune. Gotta love AM pop music radio. Opa! I talked somebody into going down there for an Experience. Oh, this was going to be great! After the last baklava was manged and bill was paid, the Chicago Greek Experience was universally decided to be severely mediocre. Not bad, nothing terrible. It’s just that the food was pretty good. The décor was all right. The service was respectable. But Little Italy was SO much better. I figured it was just the restaurant. I went back to another one. It was fine, but no better. Rats. Been going back to nice Greek restaurants. The nicest ones have very pretty stores and great service, but the food all seems to be the same. Good, but not really great. I’ll keep trying, gosh darn it. On the other hand, I’ve been to some really wonderful Greek fast food places. The guy who invented the gyro skewer-and-broiler combination was a genius. Sam’s is one of these places. It was my wife’s and son’s first time having Greek. It was easy to recommend the lamb gyros, which was what my daughter and son had, much(much!) to their pleasure and enjoyment. Friends had told me I had to try chicken gyros. I did that. It was great with the recommended garlic sauce. My wife isn’t a wheat bread fan, so she skipped the pita and had a chicken gyro salad. That chicken had another sauce on it, kind of barbecue-y, also delicious. Nice job, Sam and company! The store was very clean and the service was good and very friendly. The prices were a little higher than McD’s, but the food was so much better. One thing — this is NOT car food, unless you own a Jeep you can hose out after lunch. This stuff is seriously messy. We’re talking ribs messy. We’re talking dripping elbows messy.(Or maybe it’s just me.) In any case, recommend that you not gyro and drive. Yum. Go there. (I apologize for the earworm. Just be glad I didn’t refer to the number 1 song from 1973 .)

Favorite spot for a gyro! Fresh every single time not to mention that service is always fast, even during a lunch rush.

The food was really good. I’m not sure if the same person owns all the chains in Clarksville but this is the best one.

Perfect gyros. Hummus was fresh and warm pita bread was the perfect touch! Staff was friendly, clean and can accommodate a rush lunch order. Definitely yummy.

Great staff! Very friendly and fun to talk to. Mouth watering garlic sauce to put ontop of your gyro!

I gave this 5 stars for being a perfect little speedy lunch spot. I chose the lamb gyro plate because it included rice and salad as well as pita. My husband had the value meal: a gyro sandwich, fries & a drink. Nicely seasoned, generous portions, quick friendly service — would go back to try some of the other menu choices, but this is a long way from home.

I have ordered a lot of different items in their manu in multiple occasion. I definitely love this place for their gyro. Cleanliness was at par with fast food. For on the go gyro in town, I recommend this place.
