I was so excited to try this place but am disappointed. I did not try the sushi this time so maybe that will be better but I ordered the beef fried rice which is definitely not worth $ 10. It barley had any beef and little flavor. I am going to post a picture as well.

Came here many times and the flavors stayed excellent. Staff is great and knowledgable. Brought a friend from Seattle and he said it was the best sushi he’s had in a while.

Honestly I don’t think I’ve had better sushi anywhere else. They are always creating new rolls and the options and possibilities are endless.

Been coming for years, and never had an issue, best Sushi in town. In regards to the guy below me on 4÷23÷16, I was there that night and the server was nothing but polite and professional, this guy was just upset that he was caught stealing and called out for it. The server brought out some to go ramakans(before even calling them out, not after). Sorry you feel so entitled that you think you can get caught stealing a restaurants property, and make them out to be the bad guy. By the way, if the bottle only had a little left, why are you upset that he only brought you«a few tiny packets»? Feel confident to bring your friends and family and you won’t have any problems, unless you’re an entitled Unilocal reviewer who thinks if he wants it, he should take it because he’s special.

This is a cell phone review so it’ll be short and probably auto-corrected freakishly. My wife and I really like this place. The sushi is really good as is the udon soup. We love the portion size and freshness of everything. We almost always have one of two very good waitresses and the owner is a very nice person. Overall we really like this place and you probably will too. That is unless you get that one waiter. He is terrible. If you’re un-lucky enough to be there at the same time as his friends, well, I guess good luck. The last time we got in that spot we were basically forgotten about. His friends ordered well after us but got their drinks and food well before us(not because we order much more than them, we ordered about the same). When we did get attention to make an order or ask for a drink refill he never broke the conversation with his friends. Why do I bring this up? Because tonight was the last straw. We normally bring anyone visiting us to this place, but I think we’re going to cool it. This week alone we went there three or four times with my dad. He loves the seafood udon, so we get some each time. He also loves the seasoning that comes with it. Tonight was the first time he has leftovers. There was a tiny bit of the seasoning left so in front of the waitress he put the little bottle in the bag and we were paying and leaving. On our way out the door that waiter came running up to us. He loudly said I saw you put that in the bag! Did you buy that?! Are you taking it?! I was like what are you talking about? He said the seasoning he(my dad) put in the bag. I was like are you serious? So I pulled it out and looked over at the desk lady and she looked at him. He said he can get some for us and went to get a few tiny packets. Really I’m just annoyed, dissapointed, and frankly pissed that the guy would basically accuse my dad loudly of stealing something when he was not involved in it at all. I really wish we could tip our individual waitresses and waiters. I can’t stand the thought that our awesome waitress has to share a tip with someone like that. We love this place but after tonight we won’t be back for a long time. And if we do come back, provided we don’t find another place, we will not accept him as our waiter ever again.

Best sushi ever. I’ve had sushi at many places around the country and nothing else has ever came close to topping this place. I go here on a weekly basis.

Glad to have found a decent sushi restaurant in Clarksville where the fish doesn’t look like it’s been injected with neon dye. It has a wide variety of sushi choices. Unfortunately, a lot of these choices include crab, the cheap filler of the sushi world. However, the ones that I have had without crab have been good. Nothing super exciting, but I’ll take what I can get here. I also had their tonkatsu which, unfortunately, was terrible. It was really bad, not sure how they can make good sushi, but such piss poor tonkatsu. Oh well, what’re you gonna do, it’s Clarksville, TN, can’t expect too much. Bonus points though for being located next to the best FroYo in town.

Good service and great food! We consistently enjoy the teriyaki, sushi, and sashimi! Very family-friendly, as well! For Clarksville, a great option!

My husband and I come here at least once a month. The service is friendly, the atmosphere isn’t very special but… the FOOD! More specifically, the SUSHI! We’ve lived in Japan, we’ve eaten in China. This little place is just as amazing as the sushi rolls in Okinawa. The Miso soup is absolutely perfect, as well. You must try every roll on the menu. My favorite is the 911 role, and my husband loves his cowboy roll. Love, love, love this place!

Stopped in for some veggie rolls and chicken teriyaki. Chicken was AMAZING as well as the veggie rolls. The service was excellent! Place is on the small side so be prepared to wait on busy nights. Trust me, the wait is worth it!

First time here for a early Valentine’s Day dinner and I’m really satisfied. Even though it was a busy night, our waitress check on us several times. It was our first time there and asked for recommendations and it was pretty good. We had the Buki Roll level 6, Thai Hot Sexy Roll, and Sexy Lady roll for me and my husband and calamari for my son. The calamari had sauce over it and we assume it was going to be on the side as a dipping sauce and my son doesn’t like his calamari with sauce so we asked if we could get another one without sauce and she was really nice about it. I overall enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

This place is great. I’ve tried sushi all around town and I’m always disappointed in comparison to here. I personally love Nigiri and it’s better here then everywhere else in town. The small intimate atmosphere is great for a small date and the service has never let me down. If you like nigiri ask for the seared red snapper!

I managed to get through Nashville on I-24 without finding a place to eat, and the next big town was Clarksville. I was looking for Asian and Unilocal presented me with Fuji Yama as an option. It was a great choice, although getting there off the Interstate took some help from my GPS navigation. I had the Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box that was so big I could not eat it all, so I took it for a road snack later on. The food was delicious, and the young lady who waited on me was charming and friendly. Service was prompt.

Tried this place tonight for the first time(I did take out). I got a golden salmon roll, pork gyoza, and a green salad with ginger dressing. The golden salmon roll was a little skimpy for $ 11. Usually you get large pieces with a special roll, these were average sized. It was tasty though. I think next time I will get two«basic» rolls. The pork gyoza were not very good, over cooked and very tiny. I won’t get them again. The sauce they come with is good though. The green salad was yummy and the ginger dressing is good as well. I would try this place again but get a different sushi roll and definitely not get the gyoza. Hopefully I will be able to update my review and add more stars :)

Let me tell YOU! I meet Tony(the owner) when he was making sushi at China King Buffet about 7 years ago and I always wanted a «special» kind of sushi(no seaweed) but anyway, after he made this special sushi for me several times I would walk in he would see me and have it ready for me by the time I got done getting my food off buffet! AWESOME THESUSHI(he has soy paper with sesame seeds on it to roll sushi in) ISAWESOME! he got me to try a peppered piece of sashimi(I was scared) and it was amazing, I trusted him, known him for years and took the plunge! Never have had a bad meal here! MATTEROFFACTIMGOINGBACKAGAINTONIGHT! PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEREAD, THISPLACEHASTOABSOLUTEBESTTASTING, SLAPYOURMOMMA, FRIEDRICEIVEEVEREATENINMYLIFE!!! I would highly recommend that you give them a try you won’t be disappointed(it’s a little pricy but oh well) I’ll post pics later

It’s been 5 months since my last review to this amazing restaurant but I have probably been here about 50 times since then. THIS place is the absolute BEST sushi restaurant in town. Look no further. I travel around to eat and find local sushi places to eat and Fuji Yama has been the best so far. They also serve delicious teriyaki dishes. My favorites are the steak(so tender and perfect), seafood yaki udon(includes shrimp with thick Japanese noodles, and vegetables), and their Ton Katsu(includes fried rice or white with their special sauce). Prices are great and if you guys go during lunch hours, they even have amazing deals on the teriyaki entrees, sushi rolls, and bento boxes. Go ahead and try it out and give them a great review or just post those amazing sushi dish pictures.

Passing through Clarksville on a weekend trip. Wow, what a surprise! This strip mall Japanese restaurant was really good. My son and I were greeted immediately with a nice courteous smile from the hostess. Our waitress was equally nice and friendly always smiling. The real hidden gem here was the food. I ordered shrimp fried rice and it was as good as anything I’ve ever had in Japan. Tasty wok fried rice with fresh shrimp. So fresh that the shrimp were actually sweet. How about that for rural Tennessee… So if you’re ever in Clarksville and feeling like Japanese food this should do nicely.

Hate to give a bad review here because others rate it higher. Good fast device but server did not know what to recommend. I started with the spicy shrimp roll that came out fast. I believe it was pre-made. I then ordered the teriyaki a ribeye with soup, salad, fried rice and the steak. I love ribeye steaks, so I ordered it. What I got was a tough sirloin steak. When I asked about the cut they said that’s what they serve as a ribeye. The ginger dressing on the salad was good as well as the miso soup although it was just warm and not hot. The best part was the fried rice. Overall just ok and I am disappointed.
