A friend recommended we try Dickey’s, so last night I got the Family Pack to go. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very clean and classy. The employees were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our meal consisted of a pound of chopped brisket, a pound of pulled pork, sides of mac n cheese, loaded potato mash, and jalapeño beans, and half a dozen rolls. I also asked for to go containers for each of the sauces, and the lady happily got me them, and labeled them. I got all this for $ 44. The food was OUTSTANDING! I have had bbq in Nashville and Austin TX and Dallas TX, THISISTHEBEST! The meat was so smoky and boldly flavored and juicy. No grizzle or gloopy sauce or fattiness. The sides were very very yummy. The potato mash was my favorite. My hubby LOVED the jalapeño beans. The rolls were fresh and fluffy. Portions were generous for a restaurant. Of course we wanted more of everything cause it was soooo yummy. My hubby is VERY picky about bbq, and he was blown away. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband got the picnic pack to bring home for us for dinner. First he said he spent $ 30 on not alot of bbq, 2 small sides and 4 hard rolls. The bbq was mediocre at best. I will not be eating here again. Alot of money for not alot of food, or deliciousness.

Don’t waste your money or time !! First I spent 15 $ on the 3 meat plate. The brisket was so dry I could not swallow it. I asked for it to be sliced but it was so dry it just crumbled. I got ribs. The ribs were so over cooked and hard I thought I was biting into bone but it was meat. I also got the cheddar sausage. The flavor was good but why would you slice up my sausage and leave all the juice on the cutting board not to mention the slices were so thin. The only thing really edible was the MAC and cheese that seemed like it was made with cheese sauce not real melted cheese. I am not usually overly critical but I left feeling ripped off of 15 bucks. I also got a small drink. In summary this is very sub standard BBQ and I will not recommend. Save your time and money and go to Fox’s BBQ off tiny town.

I love this place, best barbecue in town. Being a cancer patient and having chemo rob me of taste, makes me very picky about food and taste. The barbecue is excellent and I love the okra. I urge everyone to try this restaurant. You will love it too. Don’t doubt me.

OMG all I can say this is not authentic BBQ and I’m sure back in 1941 they were not using electric smokers with wood pellets! That being said the BBQ all had a artificial plastic smoke taste! The only edible thing here are the sides and let’s not overlook the price GEEZ way to expensive, drive on down the road a bit to excel market for authentic smoked BBQ with whole wood and fire SAVEYOURMONEY

So I’ve eaten here three times now. I have to agree with another review about Dickey’s being the McDonald’s of bbq. My ribs were very dry, while my kids had moist ribs. I couldn’t wait to leave just so I could go home and floss all the dry bits of meat in my teeth. The pulled pork isn’t bad, I’ve seen them pull pork out the oven and pull it apart by hand. I am disappointed in their sauces. They have 3; original, original with extra sugar, and original with hot pepper flakes in it. On all three of my visits the sweet tea was watered down. The yeast rolls are nothing special, you can pick them up in just about any freezer section.

The meat here was so dry. I ordered the 3 meat plate with pulled pork, beef brisket, and spicy cheddar sausage. The pulled pork is so dry its like I’m eating sawdust, the beef brisket is served pulled also instead of being sliced and is also very dry. The sausage is actually very nice, as are my two sides, the green beans and the Mac and cheese. I didn’t come to a bbq restaurant to enjoy the sides, the meat should have been the main star, but it’s not. At the end of the day I feel like I just payed $ 17 to eat lunch at a school cafeteria, although a school cafeteria might know how to make better bbq than the sawdust they serve here.

Yummy yum yum. Love this place. Great specials and love the sides. Staff is always friendly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is pricing. It’s a little high to go as often as we would like.

Amazing BBQ! Our favorites are the ribs and their brisket will melt in your mouth! We don’t even bother with the sauce. I have sampled all their sides and they are all tasty! I usually call ahead and order the XL pack, then call them when I am three minutes away because they do their fried things to order. I never have to wait and everything is still steamy hot when I get home. Their entire staff is super friendly and pleasant to deal with. I recommend this place to everyone, even my super picky kids enjoy it!

This is not BBQ, this is blasphemy. If you want true BBQ go to one of the local places, you will never be able to eat here again.

Hands down the best BBQ spot in Clarksville! We’re from Texas and have been here for 5yrs and am only mad that I didn’t find this place sooner. Had the chop beef sandwich and without a doubt delicious! Wife had the ribs and they just fell off the bone. I have absolutely no complaints about this place. The power went out for like 10 – 15 min(CDEs fault) and the crowd still came in. That shows you how good this place is. Extremely nice staff.

I only give it one star because I have to. We went in to eat on a Saturday, late afternoon, they were already out of pulled pork! How does a BBQ place run out of pulled pork? Either they failed to plan or were caught off guard. Therefore, I didn’t try the food since we left. I didn’t like the order process anyway — we waited in a line that barely moved after over 10 minutes, then I saw the«no pulled pork» sign so we left. Had a great dinner at Don Pancho’s.

Love, love, love! This is totally going to be our new spot after church. We went the other day and I can’t wait to go again tomorrow, because they have free kids meals(one free kid meal per paying adult meal) and I have four kids so that comes in handy even if it is two kid meals free(with my hubby and I getting meals)! My two kids ordered pulled pork(one as a sandwich and one without the bread) mac and cheese on the side and drinks. I ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket and pulled pork with coleslaw and mac and cheese as well. The prices were reasonable, the place clean and FAST(you line up to order and receive and pay at the end of the line and then seat yourself), and the people were EXTREMELY friendly! There was plenty of large seating, the food portions were perfect and OHMYLORD was the food good. The macaroni and cheese wasn’t some nasty box kind, it tasted homemade and my kids gobbled it up(I loved it too but they stole mine! Lol). The pulled pork was met with ooh and ahhs and yummmms from all of us, and their brisket was fantastic too. The coleslaw was good and what you would expect, the Dickey’s sweet tea was perfectly spot on. They have crockpot style containers keeping original, sweet, and spicy BBQ sauce by the fountain drinks for you to grab as needed. They were all delicious as well. Really we couldn’t find a single negative about the place. We will be back tomorrow for sure.

The reason only one star is because, I stood in line and wasn’t busy in their at all. Two people were helping a customer and one other person was just standing there. All I wanted was a salad.

First thing I noticed was there was know«Happy Pig» logo. I never understood that, the pig should be PISSED. I went in to what had an indoor picnic kind of feel and a buzzing atmosphere with chowing guests and smiling staff all over. The line moved pretty quick and Marcia, who I assume is the owner, was all over the place with her big warm smile and pouring drinks, picking up napkins and encouraging her smiling staff. This joint has a very friendly, family kind of feel to it. I was happy and it smelled good. THEN, I got my food. I’m not a HUGEBBQ guy so can’t really compare it but I give it a solid A+. I had pork, brisket, slaw, beans and a FREEICECREAM, what? I’m IN. OK, honest the food was smokey, flavorful and delicious. I will be back and the highlight was definitely the cool atmosphere. Bonus? No delusional grinning Porker holding a fork. DOIT!

Good BBQ for a chain place. I was happy with the food and service and price. $ 4 for a quarter pound of freshly smoked chicken… HECKYES!

This is a Texas BBQ chain. Good BBQ for the price and other options in the Sango/Clarksville area. We usually get XL Family Pack feeds 6 – 8 — choice of 3 meats(1 lb. each), 3 medium sides, 8 rolls & barbecue sauce. This runs approx $ 45. Also had them cater for a get together at our house. They were on time and set everything up, great service! Their brisket and ribs won’t disappoint. Sides are decent but portions aren’t generous.

It’s not the best BBQ I’ve ever had, but it’s really good and by far the best I’ve had in Clarksville. This is the third time we’ve been here & I’ve had the pulled pork(good flavor & very moist), chopped beef brisket(my fave! also very moist), & the BBQ honey ham(you can taste the smoke). The fried okra & onion tanglers are served HOT& fresh, the slaw is good & so are the baked beans. I can skip the bread, it’s not worth the carbs/calories. The servings are good size & the sweet tea is GOOD! Service is not awful, the people are nice enough, it’s just not one of those restaurants where you have people serving you at the table. We came in once and asked for just a taste of both sausages & they were happy enough to give us a big piece of each. Bottom line: I LOVEBBQ, I’m glad they’re here & we’ll def be back.

Went the second day it opened, and there was a long line, but that was expected so it wasn’t a huge deal. I will say that they have plenty of variety, I thought I knew what I was going to get and as soon as I went up to order there was all kinds of choices. I went with the Chopped brisket BBQ sandwich which was delicious. They give you the option of baked beans or jalaneño which I thought was pretty cool. I will definitely be coming back. They even have Free soft serve ice cream, I thought that was a great addition, for the kids, and well who doesn’t like free ice cream?
