The younger blonde associate worker behind the counter gave off a cold unfriendly vibe, she never once said hello or asked if I needed help (and I was the only one in the store), but would keep looking at me and then look away when I looked over at the counter. The store had too much stuff made in China & India, and not enough unique local items… if I wanted decorative items from China & and poor customer service, I could just go to Walmart or some cheesy chain store. Needless to say, I left the store with zero purchases, and spent a ton of money at other home décor/​gift shops in the village… thank goodness there are so many better stores all within walking distance of this place. I will never be returning here again.

Love this space, it was originally designed by the prominent Los Angeles architect, Sumner Spaulding. It was a Theater (Theatre), opened in January 1940 and operated until 1979. It was part of the Fox West Coast Theater group, very cool building.
The Specked Hens carry Crabtree and Evelyn Gardner, and many other nice gift items. :)

Pretty things. Lots and lots of pretty things! Guys, if you’re looking for a gift for your significant other, you might have good luck here. If you look around and you’re not sure what to get, I recommend that you consider something from the Crabtree & Evelyn line. Good stuff. Plus if I’m not mistaken, they gift wrap for free which is often how I choose where to buy my gifts :-) One stop shopping! Just saying.
