The Body Shop

I LOVE THIS STORE!!!
So, my sister in law introduced me to this store 3 years ago and I have been hooked. I only went there to get her a present and walked out with $ 100 worth of products. I am a fan of all the fragrances, but I really love the seasonal Gingerbread body butter and shower gel. To my disappointment it was not brought back this year and was replaced by other fragrances.
The staff at the Kenwood Mall are very helpful and really know the product line. If you get a chance please look at for them on Groupon, Zulily and LivingSocial. You have to read the fine print because sometimes you are not able to take part of the promotional deals.

The Body Shop is fantastic. For years I didn’t realize I was missing out and then I learned about their Satsuma products. They are the most amazing smelling products and they really work. I have used the lotion, shower gel, body scrub and body butter and they are all amazing. My skin is soft and healthy and I smell so good!
The only product I like more than their Satsuma is the Peach, once you’ve smelled their peach products you’ll know true happiness.
The staff is really helpful and knows a lot about all the products in the store. These are naturally made so they smell like what they’re made with and are a little more expensive, and by a little I mean way more expensive than a lot of the stuff you can get from Target. (this is the only reason it gets a ⁴⁄₅)
BUT there is hope! The Body Shop runs TONS of sales and the best ones are probably the 50% off or buy 2 get 2 (same thing sort of). You can also get their Love Your Body card for $ 10 a year which gets you 10% off every purchase, $ 10 on your birthday and qualifies you for more savings throughout the year.
I love everything I’ve gotten from the Body Shop and have never had a bad experience.

The Body Shop in general is a great place to buy your shower gels and body lotions and this location is the only one within an hour and a half.
The people who work there give great suggestions and samples of things you might want to try before buying. I bought a foot file on their suggestion and it is great. Way better than the pumice stone I had been using.
All products are vegetarian and most vegan!

Okay, so maybe I’m one of those smelly hippies who can’t get enough of The Body Shop’s hemp lotion and body wash (soap free!) and their bamboo hairbrushes. But those out looking for a great sale on fantastic body butters and lip balms will fall in love with The Body Shop too.
Last time I was in, it was a «buy three of some particular items, get two free» sale. And, I was using a coupon so I got a crazy huge load of dreamy bath and body care items for about forty dollars. This is quality stuff. I swear by their hemp hand lotion. I’ve been using it since the ‘90s and it’s the only lotion that keeps my hands smooth as a baby’s arse. Amazing!
Also amazing, their hair care items. I absolutely will not use anything on my long locks but their bamboo line of hairbrushes and combs. It’s like I’m making sweet love to my scalp every time I brush.
What’s more, they’ve been giving back to the communities of the world since they went into business which I suspect is the reason my mom started bringing us here when we were kids. A good majority of their items are the result of ethically sourced products and co-​ops. Fair trade for the masses! Up with people and all that jazz.
Next time you’re in Kenwood mall, wander around The Body Shop. From their stellar sales to their cordial clerks and premium products, you will be glad you stopped by The Body Shop.

As a teenager, one of my first jobs was at The Body Shop at CVG Airport. I pretty much spent my entire paycheck on the store’s goods – but, hey, I did get 50% off! Since then, I have a reoccurring dream that I go to The Body Shop only to discover there’s a special where everything in the store is free! Needless to say, this store holds a very special place in my heart.
Pre-​September 11^th, I used to actually go shopping at the airport (sure the prices were more expensive, but this was the closest Body Shop to my house). Now Kenwood is my only option, but the drive only gives me more time to relish the anticipation of how I’ll fill my basket (hmmph, they never seem to run my fantasy sale…).
You can’t leave this store unless you stock up on their luxurious Body Butters and fragrant Home Fragrance Oils. And don’t feel guilty if you stock-​up – The Body Shop is renowned for their community involvement and ethical product sourcing.
